My preferred 'trick' when i start a game is to go to T-Bone junction as soon as i can and do the 1st mission there (for XP). And loot the chests there too, of course.
In Playthrough 1 you are guaranteed to get all of the SDU packs, while in PT2 it is totally random if you get one and it is unknown how this is triggered for the second time. :)
@@Bram25 Playthrough 1 are all guaranteed, Playthough 2 you read only/dashboard farm the claptraps up until crazy earls.. Crazy earls claptrap mission is the final one after that you cant get them. For those struggling with the merchant of death glitch (sell 1200 items) there something he forgot to say. You have to force a game save before saving and quiting I usually fast travel to the underdoom to do this than save and exit Edit - I suggest only doing this to around 30 - 35 that when it starts getting really slow
You can also buy some ammo and then it'll force a save without fast traveling. If you're full just fire off some rounds to make space then you can buy, then when you exit it'll save.
If it’s only good for 5 levels I would say it’s not worth it. Honestly if you have friends or get lucky and join a lobby where they’re farming craw, you can just chill at the bottom of the elevator I think and get a level 1 all the way to 69 in a few hours. The first levels are so fast

In Playthrough 1 I found it is smart to gain a lot of XP for killing zombies, those undead birds and Hank Reiss and the "Pack", which are 4 Wereskags. They give insanely high amounts of XP, some have Elemental class mods to your level (which are rare for the first time playting through the game) to at least level 32, which is level 3 in power. I gained 3 to 4 levels on that playthrough alone.
I was actually surprised Jacobs Cove didn't make the list. Guess he only looked at xp per action and not actual xp density. Anywhere you go in Jacobs Cove lets you quickly farm xp on any character. Each enemy doesn't award much, but they come in hordes and will die with just 1 or 2 shots from an appropriately leveled gun.
What are your favorite little hidden details in side quests that when you first noticed blew your mind thats a list i wanna see one for each game please
A bit jealous on the loot you carry. On the 80 hours two playthroughs with Roland in the enhanced edition I didn't get any pearlescent or other extraordinary weapon.
I've played both full playthroughs of Lilith and Roland and not gotten a single pearl one. The best way to do it is Crawmorax or the chests in the Atlas Armoury using the trick. Although I guess it's luck and grinding. The pearls from what I've seen aren't as good as some of the orange and purple tiers either. Depends on your play style, really.
I farm the shit out of Crawmerax for my weapon proficiency and to get me to max level. But, I'm good with the Crawmerax glitch. OG method still works, find the hidey spot, shoot off arms and eye, use a helix rocket launcher to hit the spot on his back (takes a few tries to really get the hang of it), not necessarily in that order. I tend to shoot off all but one of his arms, take out his eye, and then either his remaining arm (if I'm trying to increase launcher proficiency) then his back, or go for the back first, leaving one arm, and using whatever weapon I want to get the proficiency in. Got all up to max level, plus got some excellent loot... But a lot of repeats of the new Gearbox legendaries.
I was doing Claptrap repair Backpack SDU missions and it was giving me nade mods. It even showed an SDU in the pic for the reward. What is happening? I'm only at 36 or 40 for space. I'm in playthrough 2.5 level 69 doing older repair missions. Did I do something wrong?
first time you save each it's guaranteed, but the second time you save each it usually only gives grenades, COMs, or shields. If you're missing slots you've probably missed a claptrap somewhere.
I wouldn't really see any use in XP farming until you beat the game the second time. At which point I could understand trying to get max level to get max level gear. But as other people have commented being overleveled early on just tends to make the game boring. A lot of times you are already overleveled just by completing side quests as you get them.
So I played Borderlands once, then the 4 dlc’s, then I played the game again. I’m at lv69 right now, and I see you are too. Is this it? Is this as high as we can go?
Every time I try the sell challenge, when I go to exit my game or get near a save point, it can’t save. Like I can’t exit and save or go to a new area. When I click exit it just keeps “saving game” on screen indefinitely. When I try to go to a new area, it says “my account is saving and can’t proceed”. When I quit my game and reload it, the previous save that I have is from before I started to make progress towards selling items. Idk how to fix this but it’s kinda annoying when I’ve already played the game on a character and just want to quickly boost a different character to a high level
Like when I force quit the game by dashboarding on my Xbox. Not like it’s letting me save and quit. I just want to know if anyone else is having this happen and has found a workaround or has suggestions
I think this happens when you try to sell too many items too quickly. Try selling a couple of hundred then saving and quitting instead of trying to do it all at once. Before you save and quit make sure the save icon appears on your screen. You can fast travel, change your outfit, die and respawn to force an autosave
Lord Smorc yeah I tried that a couple times (doing it in sections) but once I was over 750 it started to basically lock up where I couldn’t get a save no matter what. I never really tried slowing it down tho so I’ll try that. I have an elite controller with the paddle on the back so I just mash A hella fast to speed the process up. Slowing it down might help not confuse the game lol
can you play this game in coop (when you're not the host) above 90 fps? also my game tanks into less than 10fps after like an hour and a half of playtime
I feel like a couple of these weren't worth mentioning. Like "do quests for EXP" feels like a "no duh" tip, and "grind the last area before the final boss after beating New Game Plus" strikes me as an odd one. I don't think there's a whole lot of overlap between people who have already beaten Playthrough 2 and people looking for tricks to help them level up faster.
