Norma here Your greenhouse held up exceptionally well considering it’s been through flooding and hurricane force winds. I credit you for taking such good care of it and maintaining it throughout the year. I know you’ll figure something out to prevent the cats from doing anymore damage. Amdro is great for getting rid of the ants. Grits also work great, but take much longer. Yes, Jami getting locked inside was scary, but at the same time was hilarious, especially with Bri’s daring rescue, all caught on camera. 😅😅 Great job with Dan’s peach pits. I’m sure your garden will thrive again this year. You certainly have a green thumb.
There should be metal corner covers to put on all 4 corners to prevent cats from clawing your wood & getting or making an outdoor scratching post specifically for the cats. Even putting a tiny bit of catnip on it to entice them to use it. 😊
Hi Stephanie, put some metal Angle iron on the corners of your greenhouse. That will prevent cats from scratching those corners. There are thin angle iron pieces.
Gosh, I never thought it would be that warm in there. Yes I remember when Jami got locked in😅. Oh my, those cats have done a job on that corner. That is a nice green house
I was just eyeing that same toolbox in Lowe's but in purple. 😊 Your greenhouse did hold up well. I can't help but think it held up so well was because of the care you & Buddy put into its foundation, sealing it, etc.
So glad the greenhouse has made it through all the storms. Loved when Jami got locked in. Lots of inspiration from you. Blessings and prayers for all of you 💜🙏
‼️🌞Good morning Stephanie. Thank you for the update on your greenhouse we're looking forward to your new planting again and seeing all the beautiful greens or fruits you might grow. Take good care and warm regards to the rest of the family.😊‼️
My spending some time with you in the greenhouse. Like you said the greenhouse is holding up well and it's still going to give you much pleasure coming to spring❤
I’m glad to hear you sound excited about the garden again. I know that you were discouraged last year with the flooding etc. May your spring garden flourish well and provide for your family and the sharing stand. ❤️🙏🏼 P.S. loved your video of the California fires 🔥 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
BTW, Stephanie, your song gets stuck in my head. When I watch your video before going to bed, that song goes over and over in my head! I’m glad it’s a pleasant song. I love your still photo shots at the end of each video.
That was the funniest episode! 😂 Jami saying she’s going to die, and Bri caught on video running across the yard to rescue her! 🤣 I pray you have a great year 🙏 for your gardening! I love the smell of cedar. I ordered a cedar potting bench but the Guam termites are no match for cedar! 😣 I guess I still have to spray or treat it. Thanks for sharing your videos! God bless! 🙏💗
Oh, the Hands Of Haiti pieces are beautiful! I just googled them. The company sits in Conroe, Texas. They seem to ship worldwide but sadly no further info on shipping costs. Anyhow, this greenhouse has really been holding up great through the last year. Fingers crossed that all plants will make it through the rest of winter.
@tinasachs8688 I got those from Etsy Hands of Haiti usually if you order a specific balance shipping is free but it will tell you at check out! Very reliable. 😉
Maybe you should see if they make outdoor scratching posts for cats and put it behind it where they were scratching on the green house. It looks amazing after a full year of the weather you all had.
I'm glad the greenhouse has held up. Ants have gotten me horribly bad in SE. GA. . I've accidentally stepped in their beds or the roads they are traveling. The pictures show horrible results. Since my legs don't have feeling,, I wasn't in pain, but I needed meds. .....I remember Jami's lock in.
Get a roll of flashing metal and attach it to the corners. It can bend 9o degrees to cover the corner. You can use metal spray paint to spray it brown so it doesn't stand out. Cats won't scratch on the metal.
I had house cats that liked to use door way trim i fixed their butt's and put indoor outdoor carpet on the trim where they scratched and made wood toothpicks lol
I had a Swedish Ivy that I got from a cutting of my mothers plant but moving and changing duty stations I had to leave it behind, I kept it in the house and it was great. My mother called it a creeping Charlie.
Diatomaceous powder will take care of all your pests. You just have to reappy when it gets wet. It eradicated a tick infeststion where nothing else worked. I bought the food grade at Walmart so that it won't harm any creatures that happen upon it. They evrn suggest to use as a powder directly on animals or bedding or in their food. It's amazing
I’m so so jealous! My Costco just put an assembled Yardisty out for sale this week. It is just there to mock me every time I go in the store. I want one so so bad! Yours is absolutely awesome.
Good morning Steph. Your greenhouse is marvelous. I wish I could afford one like that. I have the little plastic one like you had before. The plastic is starting to get cooked and flaking apart. Anyway, I wanted to say how much I love your driftwood dragonfly. It is so cool. I love dragonflies
So wonderful your greenhouse has survived the year! Will the peach tree actually produce peaches? I've tried to grow avocado from a pit but only had a plant? Excited to see what you will get going this year!!!!
Hi Stephanie. Just a thought of a quick cat retardant. Paw Paw goes through a lot of pickled jalapeños. Have him save the juice, and you can put it spray bottle. Spray it on the corner of the greenhouse. Just keep the bottle in the greenhouse.
Cats around my area have done the same to my fence,i put a 90degree angle strip made of metal mesh, stapled it over the wood corner for 3foot high,it's about 2inches wide on both sides❤
Hi Stephanie, Where the cats are scatching up your Greenhouse there is a medal V shape corner thing that they use on roofing or on shedsI am sorry but I don't know the name. It goes on the outside corner where 2 wall meet. They come in different color and sizes and can be screwed on. I am not sure but the closes I can find is an Aluminum Drip edge.
You might try to root the lower limb of the peach tree. I know there is a way to wrap the trunk with moss and create roots. Peach trees need 2 to pollinate.
May I ask who made the wooden dragonfly? After my daughter passed I would see large dragonflies. In fact one kept flying around my van where I was living. I said, would you please hold still so I can get a picture? My window was up. And it kept in position for several pictures. It was in the air, not landed on anything. ❤️❤️.
Or...nail/attach a piece of carpet on the area where the cats scratch. If you fix it they will still scratch or possibly start on another side. ? Just a thought.
You could use cinnamon around the edges of your green house to deter ants, they don't like it. Plastic guards on your corners will deter the cats scratching.
I don't know if it would work on those kinds of ants but try laying hole bay leaves all around the inside wall. I know it works for the sugar ants you get in your kitchen.
Amazing idea for a chicken feeder, Stephanie! It starts with a big blue barrele, he cut holes around the bottom and then screws into each hole a a hood so other chickens can’t peck their heads while they eat. ruclips.net/user/shortswGcLnoHKLlo?si=nMFKL0iHH3bwDHs8
Put salt on your floor and around the outside, cinnamon also deter ants, then there is slso Diotomacious earth as a barrier to 😂❤😂❤😂❤ all are natural ingredients, no need to use poison if it works, if these don’t work, I love Taro ant controll ❤

That’s what I was going to suggest. 😊

Good morning Steph..Yup i get your weather next here in Kentucky but Friday in the form of snow i am 8° right now
I am so happy your greenhouse is holding up. That’s nuts the cats are using it as a scratching post.
Love that dragonfly on the wall , looks like it was made from a corn stalk
Awesome Steph 😊

We put stain sealer on anything cedar, fences, patio area, makes it beautiful and preserves.

Hi 👋 Buddy and Stephanie and Family
So wonderful your greenhouse has survived the year! Will the peach tree actually produce peaches? I've tried to grow avocado from a pit but only had a plant? Excited to see what you will get going this year!!!!
I’d love to have a green house
I want to start planting too

After you repair where the cats scratch, I would put something up there for them to scratch but doesn’t damage your boards. Just a thought.

Stephanie thanks for the walk about nice on day that we still have 6/8 inches of snow. No school all wk maybe tomorrow unless they deem it why bother.

🌱Glad you’re feeling ready to start up gardening again. ❤ I know last year was rough and defeating.

Can you put a removeable shade over roof for spring and summer use

Put some metal trim on your corners that should help
GoodMorning Jake and Jr
Hi Steph and Buddy 😊🦮🐈🐓🪴🌺💕
If I did a in a greenhouse in Florida would I have to take them out as they grow or can you just leave them inside to grow your veggies?
What is brand of greenhouse
Or...nail/attach a piece of carpet on the area where the cats scratch. If you fix it they will still scratch or possibly start on another side. ? Just a thought.
Good morning
👍👋❤️💯
That chain is so when the wind blows it dont rip the door off the hinges
Paw paw chicken coop had those claw marks he said it was from racoons..might add metal corner strips....just fyi.
Maybe you could just put 3 boards around the post the cats are scratching ,
Maybe put a log in front fir them to scratch on 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
You could use cinnamon around the edges of your green house to deter ants, they don't like it. Plastic guards on your corners will deter the cats scratching.
Stephanie spray it with some peppermint oil. Cats don't like peppermint.
I don't know if it would work on those kinds of ants but try laying hole bay leaves all around the inside wall. I know it works for the sugar ants you get in your kitchen.
I'm not going to forget that about Jami
I dont like temps below 60 either lol

Put a cat scratch panel so the don’t scratch the wood.
Just beware of wasp snakes and of course ants but it looks fine to me
Sand, bondo, sand, paint. Bondo isn't prime material for animals to chew or scratch.
Whole Bay leaves will stop the ants, spread a bunch all around .
