A Tesla Y long range with the same feature as the G6 long range is 85k. Let me see 61k vs 85k mmmmm geez that’s a hard choice 😅
I am driving a model Y but I think I like the Xpeng design look a lot better.
Price comparison in your video is based on White colour option… you should point out that the price difference between Xpeng and Tesla is greater again when you want a different colour as Xpeng price is for all colours whereas it’s an extra cost with Tesla
I was just comparing like for like
Wow I wish the G6 long range was available in early 2024. I would have bought it instead of my Revised M3 rwd. Same price plus free wall charger. Great deal.
@@garryellis3085 yes its a very good deal. I think there are more good deals on the way though
Beautiful car.
The MY LR is a dual motor AWD so it’s not comparing apples with apples
Does Xpeng has a hybrid ute offering. So far only BYD and we need competition to drive price down.
You can’t compare prices of the G6 long range with the model Y long range until the all-wheel-drive G6 version arrives next year.
Sorry the Y wins hand down and I think the sales will reflect that
Wonder if Tesla will reduce the price of the Model Y Juniper. Wait and see before entertaining the idea of an Xpengsive Xpeng.
Tesla won't cut any price with a new model. Only cut with the old model. Tesla only upgrades their model significantly when they find that they are unable to compete with their competitors but no price cut. You need to understand Elon Musk.
If I had the cash would prefer the LFP battery due to ethical and durability and safety reasons
Although not much of a support network the fact that Auto Tune mechanical will be there for you is not bad
There are really no ethical considerations now with Cobalt
Thats great news @grumpyoldmanandhisev
Chinese company with zero brand reputation or loyalty in Aus and its almost the same cost as a well proven Tesla Y. Looks very uninspiring also. Probably needs to be 10K cheaper. Lets see price in 6-12months.
BYD had no brand loyalty either. It takes a year or two to get that
To be fair. Tesla is a poor man’s car with plastic feeling in and out.
@@qilu2004 Facts 👏👏I was so disillusioned when I got into one, the interior feels cheaper than a Corolla. I do love the panoramic glass roof though, going through the city was def a cool experience. Very let down with the interior though, and no dash instrument/HUD but the biggest crime is the lack of buttons. Whoever hid a button behind a touchscreen to open the glovebox needs to never design cars again.
Yeah, but the Xpeng is not all wheel drive is it cobber.
Its RWD which is fine esp here in Oz
@@grumpyoldmanandhisev RWD is cheaper, hence why the Tesla AWD costs more. That is the point I was trying to make.
XPeng G6 Standard Range is priced at S$225,000 in Singapore, and that’s about AUD253,000. 😂
Ouch - but all vehicles are ridiculous prices in Singapore
Does 100kw limit still apply
Yeah but you dont need to own a car in SG...public transport is good and land area is just a small fraction relative to Oz
And as a result, the average singaporean spends far less on transport each year as they don't have a car and use your excellent public transport plus taxi system.
I would rather get LFP battery
Me too
Whilst LFP batteries are safer the gap is narrowing rapidly
@@grumpyoldmanandhisevAnd it’s a bit of a myth that you can charge LFP to 100% constantly without any degradation concerns.
Me too
Where would Xpeng Australian drivers details and driving data be housed, etc, within the cars System… and locally via the importers local system or by Xpeng in China? Price can be good, but once you buy this cheap Chinese car, where is the drivers data held, ask them that?
I'm glad you think the price is good. It is too expensive. What is the price in China? Australians get ripped off on new cars.
They have to add a lot of safety features that are not required in China - the vehicle there couldnt get a 1 star crash rating. And you wont be happy until you can get a new EV for under $10,000 methinks
Well you can move and live in China so you can buy it cheap..😂..there are other costs and taxes by bringing these into Oz
I’d suggest you look at pricing in Europe before making incorrect statements that Aussies get ripped off on EV pricing.
@@paulb1951 Some prices in Europe are higher than here
@@grumpyoldmanandhisev The G6 is built to 5-Star ENCAP and CNCAP standards and has recently been rated 5-Stars by ENCAP. It doesn't make economic sense to design one version for export and another for domestic.
