Love it !! Love that you did it two more times till you were happy with it.. as close to perfect as you can get is always the goal. Love the series on this car!!
Oh no, hate it when that happens! I've had paint do that, luckily on small pieces and models only. Still a pita to deal with. Great that you were able to get it looking better.
A friend of mine panel-painted his car (painting a couple pieces at a time instead of the whole thing at once) and it turned out 3 different shades of white. It came out of the same gallon. He repainted it, same thing. He had to paint it a third time (all at once this time) and it finally turned out one shade. White is weird. The only thing that we figured is the paint wasn't mixed thoroughly enough and the heavier pigments settled toward the bottom causing the shade to be off from one paint session to the next.
That coupe came out so well! Absolutely love it! I’ve got a rare hatch I’ve had since I’m 16 and an sn95…. Want to get a notch like this one in the future
This is why I’m glad I have a project roller I’m building so I can paint the car and cut in the engine bay and jams with the same paint at once..it’s my 1986 T-Top coupe and it was originally Oxford white but I want to paint it the white I had on a 2012 mustang 5.0 I had called performance white and it’s a whiter white👍🏻
@theinfamousproject 💯 agreed on not using the Duplicolor 1k clear. I had the exact same yellowing issue on two white trim pieces I sprayed for my Powerstroke truck. White paint was a perfect match. Sprayed 1k clear? Eggshell. That can of clear is now a paperweight.
It looks good but next time go too Wal mart and get the rust oleum brand clear it comes in matte clear gloss clear and super gloss that won’t yellow from UV rays it works great on white and on headlight resto. It’s a white can with a blue and yellow banner on it and it’s about $5 a can, the same yellowing effect happened when I rattle canned my lx front bumper with a different brand
So I cut my fuel tank vapor line right under the passenger door where it transitions from rubber to steel tubing. Before I did that I would give wiffs of gas every once in awhile but now I don’t
Whites a total pain to match. Then add the yellowing 1k. Your attention to detail on all of your cars is amazing. Prep, mask paint, repeat always sucks. The outcome is great!!!!
@@TheInfamousProject maybe different, I have a 94 and it doesn't fit. Looking for insight and ideas. I got the smallest hight I can get cause of clearance... Any help is much appreciated
@@TheInfamousProject when you have a chance and its not too much trouble could you give me a measurement on the side skirts? measure from the top to the bottom of the skirt.I am thinking about getting a set for my 87 gt but need to know how big they are,I will be running a 8 inch valance on the front with the original rear bumper.Just wondering if they will look good with that combo. Thanks so much.
10 Miller Lites bet that you won't be happy with the paint thinner clean up on the wire loom and you'll end up replacing it! :-) Told you to give me a holler if you need help with the 'heavy lifting' stuff. Could have had that Lightning engine out in a couple of hours! Cheers! oh, and wifey says 'come get your shit out of her garage'!
As ocd as you are, I can't believe you keep that horrible ribbed wire conduit. I won't be having that. I'm about to yank my motor and clean up my bay and every bit of that god awful ribbed garbage is going in the trash. Going with the woven stuff

Appreciate that bro
Love how passionate & detailed you are to make these Foxbody’s look & run great again. Keep up the great work 👍

I like that radiator bracket delete that is really cool!
Dude, I am impressed with your work! Way to go the extra mile on your Coupe!🦊
Thanks
A ton of work , but in the end looks great and your OCD is happy, great job Chris, take a breath bud.
That Grinder stand is awesome.
WOW! Looks great! OCD and a little tenacity had an awesome outcome!
Thanks man
It came out great!!!

Awesome transformation man! A quick repaint/ sanding on the intake plaque would really finish it off! Great video!
Looks killer Chris.
Thank you

Awesome! Go for it
My friend you made look so easy
That’s a whole lot of work but the end result looks amazing!!
Always helpful tutorials-thank you for sharing the expertise. The yellow headlamp tint is very cool on this particular car, how did you go about that?
Yellow paint mixed with clear coat
Props man. White is the hardest paint to match.
I had this happen to me on paint matching some valve covers looked sweet till I put the duplcolor clear on and it turned yellow

Poor mans wire tuck, I don't know why but I wildly funny. Nice job by the way the end results is what counts Cheers
lol, got that line from back in my BMW days working on e36's
Spraymax 2k activated clear in a spray can works killer also!
Great job on the engine bay

Good to know

Just learning not to spray Dupli Clear because it yellows is priceless.
nice trick with the bushing from the airbox on the radiator! You're missing the plug in the whole next to the airbox on the passenger side.
I need 2 from you... We have already discussed this lol

Thanks man I appreciate that
Beautiful!!! Only one question, is there something you do to the battery tray to make the red top fit?
No sir.. with that said, there are a different size of optima out there

Looking good, where is project come and take it?
Shes all done #drivendaily
Awesome work now the white on the hood is bothering me AAH lol
Looks sweet Chris! Where did you get the ac line cover?
It's just split loom like I use on wiring! Alex Tech
@ alright thanks! Do you know what size and where I can get it from?
You have some really nice cars. Are you the one who sells the DECH STYLE SIDE SKIRTS that you have on the fox bodies?
Yes I sell genuine DECH body kits

Also would like to see the egr delete video if you make it
How did you run the hood release cable?
Inner fender
Looks great man, my only thing is you should have filled some of those unnecessary holes. Overall great videos 👍🏼
You really know these cars well so can you do a video telling us new comers what all the wires and stuff under the hood do and what they are for.
There is a really good video on RUclips already out for that if you need it
The white looks really good but the cervini hood is looking a little yellow now

Lol.. I got in the groove and let the crane do the lifting
Is that car AOD??
Yes
