The front end would be real spongy with the ls in it, and it would have way less traction, it would eat tires, and then with the v6 it's controlled right now ls power might not be the answer, it needs a light turbo instead. 11 psi, no blow off that thing would be a real ripper then. Bet it is now. I drift a 1980 chevy long bed slammed,(my icon pic) !!!! Built sbc400, welded
I have the same truck minus the explorer rear end. The v6 Vulcan can’t exceed anymore power than 180 at the crank (that’s generous) or it will go boom pow and now you have a boat anchor
I reached out to the owner/builder of this truck - Older model year trucks had the throttle body built into the intake manifold. He swapped the intake manifold from a newer engine to have the throttle body bolt onto the manifold. The throttle body he used is off a 5.4L, but the 4 bolt pattern is pretty much the same for most Fords.
This truck right here is inspiring me to build my 83 XLT Ranger with dual fuel tanks.
Dude dual fuel tanks? Absolutely insane build, hope you can manage the new power
So proud of this guy and how far he came from his Mazda truck
Ahh. Brings back memories of my old ranger. Some of my best memories and times had was with one of those.
true drift spirit
I’m actually working on a drift ranger right now! Im really excited
Gutter sideskirts look good on that ranger, been considering that mod for my beater Sierra BUCK
a beautiful creation
Ah so this does confirm the fact that I can drift my ranger
I have the same truck but stock, took a left to hot this morning sliding sideways through the light. 😅 the best thing about it is the size
Thinkin of building a drift truck been looking at a ranger this just sealed the deal
is it true chassis setup is most important
Nice truck real hot .I have a 1990 ranger working on it for almost 2years hopeing to get it up and running.am very excited when i see them.

I have a 93 ranger with sweet 90’s vinyls on it. I want to fix the trans to get it going good again

Nice I built a 85 in 06 with a circle track prep 2.3 and a carb
Extended cab 95-97 trucks make great drift trucks too
2:40 buddy in the back is blastedddd
😆😆
cant wait to start my drift truck build 3 months away till i move to myrtle
that thing is bad ass!
1in sway bar off of 2WD BRONCO 2 fits your rear end in ranger trucks
I have a 1989 Ford Ranger XLT I need a blind boy sticker as well🤓
Anyone know what those rear wheels are? I have them on my ranger
Can you give me more details on the spoiler build??
It was just a piece of aluminum that he bent, and end plates he cut. Not sure how functional it is, but it looks cool!
What did he do to the exhaust?
I think it's just glass packs? I'm not sure.
Is there anymore footage of this truck ?!
Not on my channel, next time I run into him I'll see if I can get some more footage
Where can I find a (?throttle body spacer?) it's really hard to find) , and the (?throttle body?), please anyone help.

@@DoctoredGarage an the throttle cable I'm guessing from a Ford F-150?
@@DoctoredGarage and what about the throttle body spacer?
@@DoctoredGarage by the way that wasn't a 5.4 throttle body it was from a V6 f150, that throttle body came off from a 4.6 mustang
no action footage smh
There's in truck footage at the end :) I didn't have a camera setup for on track unfortunately :'(
It looks like it does do good!
