    OMG I was looking for this recipe all over youtube!! And found NOTHING. Thank you so much! I’m Laos and my dad made this for me once but he had a stroke and can’t remember anything so I couldn’t ask him how to make it. Thanks so much 😋

    I been playing catch up and watching all of your videos. Wow. You really know how to cook. You know what you are doing and most of all, you enjoy cooking and sharing your recipes. I always eat the pork grind that is already favoured but using pork grind this way is new to me. Gonna try this for sure.

    Yes! BANE PHONKEO’S is my #1 Lao spot here in Sd and the market next door. It is the only spot I get my Lao food at since I live so close to it. I actually just came from there last night! 😂 highly highly suggest going there if you’re from San Diego, another spot is sang dao. those two only!

      @HouseofXTia  5 лет назад

      oooh thank you. will keep in mind. I visit sd a few times a year to see family but never make it out to eat bc they're always cooking. I want to make a point to visit some of these lao spots though! what are your must have's at each?

    It’s weird how the older we Laotian get. The more we grow to love the food that we use to call the “elderly food”. Its good the Jeow pork rind.

      so true! everyone jokes that I eat like an old lao grandma hahaha. it must be the nostalgia but also my seasoned palate hehe

    You are lucky, here in Argentina, you have to make everything yourself, even your herbs

      I was in buenos aires last year and came across some markets that sell fresh herbs and produce! I wouldn't mind having my own garden tho!

    Before I go try and make this, am I supposed to add bulgogi marinade somewhere?? You have it listed in your ingredients but I didn’t see you use it in the video.

    • @HouseofXTia
      @HouseofXTia  4 года назад +1

      omg that was a typo! sorry. thanks for catching it and asking.there is no bulgogi marinade in this!! it's been updated :)

    You know your married to a Laos girl when there is a bag of pork grinds on the kitchen table and a bamboo basket for sticky rice. Nice recipe, too bad i cannot
    have enough pork grinds left to make it to the mortar. All things crunchy, crispy, spicy, that you can eat with your fingers is the way to a Laotian girl's heart.

      I use msg as a staple when I cook Lao food. I can’t cook without it. It’s just in my pedigree to use it in my cooking. Non-Lao folks cringe when I mention I use msg lol

    Well that's not a sauce it's a paste😉

    • @HouseofXTia
      @HouseofXTia  5 лет назад

      Laotians wouldn't call it a dipping paste. It's a dip/condiment for rice.

    • @freeticalspel
      @freeticalspel 5 лет назад

      House of X Tia Hmmm 🤔 Then why write and i quote "SPICY PORK RIND SAUCE" then in the video "1,21min in" say "dipping sauce" and now just dip 😉
      I'm a chef u se and that is called a paste, and if it's a dipping sauce as u say..well then it is a type of sauce.
      Just saying the word "sauce" was what made me watch, anyways it looks very tasty😁
      I would add a bit more fish sauce and maybe sesame or olive oil or a tasteless oils to make it a sauce😋
