Ginger Rogers stunning
I watched this to watch Ginger Rogers. My mother and she looked like twins.
The line about how the scream sounded made me laugh. Hilarious!
My great grandmother whom I knew was 37 when this was filmed!!
calling her a “little girl” is a sign of the times and “sweet little girl” in a snide way. We have come a long way!
And when they first meet he threatens to spank her! What a charmer!
Yeah (29:20) I've seen several male leads from the 1930s be condescending and even verbally abusive, and yet the writers and directors clearly expected the audience to identify with them on some level.
And of course she falls for him in the end 🙄.
Maybe this is why Myrna Loy and William Powell seemed like such a breath of fresh air in the Thin Man movies.
No, you've not come a long way.
Good movie. Please tell me why the brothers friend brought in the lookalike girl? I am confused. thank you.
She wasn't trying light sockets....she was trying light switches.
I love youtube.
The stupid cop was Paul Hurst. He was the soldier on the stairs killed by Scarlet in Gone with the wind.
What does psychotronic mean?
@@babasheeny3634 who cares what google says.
Uncle Adam could pass for Christopher Walken!
Why does a captain call a young man on the crime scene?
7:40 and 1:07:35 Why does he keep calling stuyvesant 9600?
Phone numbers had 2 letters and 5 numbers, famous Glenn Miller song about Pennsylvania 6-5000.
❤
Patla
En Français ???
Um... No.
@@MooseCall wath a pity 😔
good movie pace is terrible
At 30ties and they have face lifting. Very odd.
No, WWI soldiers needed much. help You've not read Civil War efforts to aid wounded soldiers.
That detictive is disgusting
Ginger Rogers is definitely the best thing about this film, but she can't overcome the awful dialogue and often wooden acting of the others.
And the lead male character is tiresome, for example in the scene at 29:20
Based on the fadeout, 29:20 is flirting.
Detective Grump is comical. Utterly useless!
