Number two. i knew i could force the game to give ridiclous stuff to you, like the infamous LV100 nidoking or Lv9 Mew; but making pokemon evolve? holy shit that is a new can of worms. ... but that still doesnt allow us to evolve trade pokemons, since... ya know, they need the TRADE to happen in order to evolve. i just wish that the Trade Evo trigger would be found at pokemon number.
I did not know about thwo of those, awesome. But there is one legit use for focus energy: to decrease your chance to crit when you have a boosted Attack stat. Because in Gen 1, crits IGNORE BUFFS for some reason lol
focus energy could be useful when you are buffed a lot and want to avoid crits that bypass stat modifiers, though I don't think there's a reasonable build that incorporates both but dire hit doing the same makes it a viable strategy... I guess?
I actually clicked on this video to see if there were any here that I DIDN'T know. Number two came close, I knew that at some point but forgot it, but only number one was completely new information to me. Honestly, given how much time I've spent looking up glitches and fun facts in this area, that's more than I was expecting, so well done!
@@pokerebels No, I've just wasted way too much of my life looking up video game trivia lol, anyone who didn't know this stuff is probably living a far more productive life than me. XD
I saw a video on how to escape Loreli in the #5 scenario. You just need to run out of Rage's PP by missing 20 times in a row with the 1/256 miss glitch! Odds are only 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000!
Thanks it's informative 👍 but you forget some facts that's really broken it's mostly related to why Dugtrio is op and useful in gen 1 games it can use the glitch and mechanics to make it so broken 1 Dig or as I call it digleport the fact that you can use it in some gym and house and cave makes teleport and escape rope useless. 2High crit mechanics Dugtrio can really abuse this not to mention it can learn Slash. 3Badge boost glitch you can make any Pokemon strong best move to use is double team it's also advise not to use debuff moves since it will also boost your opponent Flash and sand atk is usable but don't be surprised if you got crit when debuffing your opponent. 4 X Accuracy is really broken in gen 1 combined it to Dugtrio+Fissure+PP up=a Pokemon that can destroy all the Pokemon that is not flying for flying just use hi crit slash or rock slide by the way the the hit rate of KO moves is affected by your opponent SPD if your opponent is faster than you the Fissure will always fail 🤔
If you look at the type chart that’s included in the manual for red and blue, you will see that lick was never supposed to be super effective against psychic types
The manuel is wrong. One of the trainers in the Saffron gym will mention that bugs and ghosts are the only things psychics fear. That, combined with the game producers confirming, proves the Ghost was originally meant to be super effective against psychic
@@MoonLordSlayer I don’t know what developer you’re talking about. Yeah they made it that way in later games, but that doesn’t mean that it was meant to be that way in red and blue
obscure fact number 1: I think that is Data Overflow. ya see, Gen1 Games can remember up to 1024, because of how binary system memorization works. when the data of, lets say... Mewtwo getting +6? it flows over to new set of 1024, and starts counting back from 1. so when get it to +4, it overflows from this high number of 1218 to 194. so, lets say you hit mewtwo with something like Thunderbolt? High damages incoming
Psyduck isn't actually Fire Stone, its leaf stone. The pokemon that corresponds to Fire Stone is a specific hex Missingno which is a little tougher to find
Which fact SURPRISED you the most???

pin missle wasn't only a beedrill move. for whatever reason jolteon could learn it.
jolteon knowing it was such a cheat code
@@pokerebelsthat’s like saying Vaporeon learn the move Aurora beam was such a cheat code. 🤦♂️
It’s because Jolteon is literally made of needles of course.
You can use swords dance with focus energy because crits ignore stat changes
Nothing is worse than a crit hyper beam after 4 sword dances
that part - you rightttt
I want to add that the cut grass also works all the way up to gen 3 games
such a cool mechanic!
Focus energy glitch can be useful when utilizing the badge boost glitch tho.
thats the hope

that's wild to think about it
I knew every single fact except number 1. It's crazy to think that a mewtwo can be beaten like this in gen 1
it is wilddd and nice 9/10!

i mean it really depends - but yes regarding both

Red doesn't do a 360 on the bike, he does a whopping 3 360 on the bike

ohhh that's not bad

The one with the bicycle 360 hop is too crazy!! And I newer knew this. Also this video deserves a lot more likes and views!!
Thank you so much 🙏🏽
That evolution stone one tripped me out fersure
it's crazy Emily!
The video contains very good information which has been of great help to me.

High damage indeed
The bike fact is crazyyy
it really is though
Imagine if we had easy access to the internet in the early 90’s, i would have not fallen for the mew under the truck next to the 🚢😅
alas you may be right
Other then dire hit part of focus energy, I knew literally all of these.
niceeee!
Rest can miss in gen 1? What?
yessir
Psyduck isn't actually Fire Stone, its leaf stone. The pokemon that corresponds to Fire Stone is a specific hex Missingno which is a little tougher to find
sheesh good look - that definitely must be complicated
You didn't talk about the Pokémon getting the move Cool Trainor as freezing the game for throwing ash
ooooo we'll get that next time around!
3:53 meanwhile, me with my bicycle in slot 8...
Also that's a 720 not a 360 (probably a 900 if you wanna count the extra sideways frames)
I mean fair fair 😭
Omg I didn't know any of these 😅
gladdd we let you in on em!!

let's goooo
My mew was 999 atk in pokemon gold
sheeeeesh

Quick attack can miss in gen 1?!
Yeah…it’s one of those moves that has a 99.6% success rate so technically it can fail even though it’s supposedly perfect
8/10
let's goooo!
It said 100, not 100%. Not a mistake.

i knew 8/10
Ooo nice 🔥
Lol. Bide doesnt miss.
