The best team for in-game use, without using legendaries, is Blastoise, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Clefable, Alakazam, and Dugtrio. All of them are easily available, have good typings to use against boss fights, have a good stat distribution, and have great level-up moves without relying too heavily on TMs. If you allow legendaries, then you could easily toss a Zapdos and/or Articuno onto the team. They arrive late in the game and require the player to go through lengthy optional dungeons, but they are so powerful in terms of stats and moves that it's worth it. Moltres is not, due to the fact that you don't get any time to train it between when you catch it and when you fight the Elite Four.
I always loved for going with the final evelutions of them 3 starters and adding Gengar and Alakazam to the mix. Their special attacs are so splendid. Of cause, you coudn't get that without trading - or in "Yellow". But as a 12 yrs old, that team seemd crisp! pls excuse my bad english, been only learning for this year and watch videos with familiar content to improve
Gyarados really isn't that bad if you buy the Magicarp from the trainer near Mt. Moon for 500$, the best way to spend 500$ in gen 1 Imho. Yeah you get like a level 5 Magicarp which you need to grind a fair bit with nothing but Splash and finally Tackle at 15 but the faster xp gain from being wild really helps shorten the grind, and also improve Gyarados' xp gain. Speaking of Gyarados, even at lower levels he's pretty darn powerful and he's hands down the best candidate for your Bubblebeam TM from Misty's gym to give him a powerful(considering the stage of the game we're talking about) STAB move that will carry him up to the point where you get your complete move set for him. So for the team itself, especially since you went with Bulbasaur as the starter I'd absolutely buy the Magicarp and get Gyarados as the water type of choice for this team. I'd argue Gyarados' availability is vastly superior to Starmie's and his power level is pretty similar too, albeit in a different way. Jolteon is certainly a powerful pick but your team is surprisingly lacking in Psychic types, which is the best type in gen 1. Especially if you do go with Gyarados over Starmie you have 0 Psychic Pokémon. 2 notable considerations in this regard for a well rounded team are Jynx and Exeggutor. I mean Alakazam is always an option too but if you can't trade and don't use a randomizer on an emulator than you're stuck with Kadabra, which isn't bad but isn't nearly as good as Alakazam and thus falls short of the 2 Pokémon I mentioned, both of which bring something to the table other than just Psychic moves which make them more well rounded and overall superior for this team Imho. Exeggutor kind of fills the same niche as Venosaur so while he's certainly a powerhouse in gen 1 I can understand why you didn't include him, though if you're willing to ditch your starter Pokémon I'd certainly consider taking Exeggutor over Venosaur once he becomes available as by the time Exeggutor comes online the utility from Venosaur's grass moves drops off sharply so Exeggutor allows you to maintain the status moves from grass, if you choose to keep them, but in combination with significantly better killing power from Psychic. Jynx is just an incredibly underrated Pokémon, being available relatively early on via trade, which also means she levels up faster than normal thanks to being wild. Moreover she brings Ice type to the table which means you get STAB Blizzard(or whichever other Ice moves you bring on her, though Blizzard is by far the best), which is utterly annihilate Giovanni's ground based team(but so many other Pokémon dominate him so that's kind of whatever) but also dominate all the flyers and dragons, especially those in the elite 4(trainers and your rival). When Ice isn't the best choice Psychic will usually do the trick, and she's hands down your best candidate for your precious Psychic TM. I just find Electric to be unnecessary in an ideal team as Ice already covers Flying and Grass already covers water so you really don't need Electric. Even without Jynx you can still teach Ice moves to a bunch of your Pokémon so you will have this coverage no matter what, and you can also teach Nidoking Rock Slide if you want for even more Flying coverage. So my team would be Venosaur, Nidoking, Gyarados, Snorlax, Dodrio and Jynx or if you're willing to ditch your starter than Exeggutor instead of Venosaur and than possibly keeping Jolteon instead of Jynx, or bringing something else like Starmie, Tauros, Rhydon, etc, as you only get 1 Psychic TM and both of them really want it. Heck you can even use both the available Snorlax, 1 as a physical powerhouse and 1 using all those juicy special TMs you've been acquiring and not using, which is actually viable thanks to Amnesia. If you do use that second Snorlax than he's 1 of the better candidates for your Thunderbolt and other special TM rewards from the various gym leaders to provide you with a lot of coverage on a very bulky Pokémon.
when i get gyarados, i usually just fish him up with the old rod right when i get it, and train him up against those lvl 29 dugtrios in diglet cave. it really doesnt take that long, plus that training basically assures you to have an easy ss anne trip since leveling magikarp means that youre actually training up your other pokemon as well against high level enemies

@@pokerebels it makes a big difference - Staryu and Starmie are exclusive to Leaf Green. Usually I'll go with Lapras instead. And my go to is Rapidash over Jolteon but I use all the rest pretty frequently.
This is a really legit gen one team. A fun and super OP pokemon who is easy to catch early on is parasect with swords dance, body slam and spore. All parasect needs to do to body a whole team is survive one hit, then, you can spore for a surefire sleep, charge up your swords dances and body slam one hit the rest of the team, who you will probably out speed because of the badge boost glitch (they really are great games) If I may offer some constructive criticism, all of your videos I have seen have a beeping noise in the background at some interval. I find it very distracting, and I feel that if you could resolve this issue, it would really increase the quality of your videos.
Hey Peter! I agree - there is so many ways to really play up on the broken Pokemon in the game. As to the beeping, resolving that this week so videos will be void of that. Thank you for your support!
Wow... I'm hard pressed to provide any improvement on this team! I only wish you had footage that respected your rule of gym-ace lvl cap :) On a deeper level, I have yet to see a best-team video that suggests intermediate team members to accompany you midjourney but be boxed later, mainly to absorb extra xp along the way (and avoid team overleveling) but also to improve on the fun factor... since in the Anime this happened a lot (krabby, muk, primeape, haunter, tauros...) Please take this as a suggestion! I loved the video, thanks
You need coverage against ghosts, and may be teach bubble beam to one Persian against rock types and thunderbolt to the other against Cloyster and Gyarados, but actually a 2 Persians team + slaves could be enough
@Udokee stadium was hard..you had to think outside the box and teach them unusual moves to get through that game. I just used to send in my level 100 mewtwo to do most of the sweeping
Yeah dodrio is OP mostly cause it can learn Tri attack and the other birds cant. If Pidgeot or fearow could learn Tri attack it would make them a lot more usable
My team wasn’t the best but I played blue, and this was my team Venusaur, starter choice Raichu, viridian forest. Gyarados, bought it, thought it was useless but still trained it.. thx god i did Pidegeot- caught it on the route to celadon city. Flaeron - yes I know it’s trash but I was like 7 years old and for some reason I didn’t catch vulpix cause it was girly so I got a flareon. Which in hindsight is more girly. Nidoking- you know I can’t end this list without this guy. I was about the battle the 5th gym, and needed a final team member, so I went to the safari zone. I caught a nidorino and didn’t realize to the ELITE FOUR that I needed a moon stone to evolve it
4 of these I actually use normally. Venusaur is my favorite starter, Jolteon and Snorlax are some of my favorite Gen 1 Pokemon, and Dodrio has the best learn set of all the normal birds. I also enjoy using Poliwrath. And Persian is good because STAB Slash is nuts in gen 1 since crit rates increase with higher speed.
Great video and I agree with a few of these points, but it’s worth pointing out nidoking has one of the worst level up moves and relies too heavily on TMs to be good. Also Vapereon is better than Jolteon because of his hp and bulk and the best water type due to how early you get him. Oh, I kept hearing “squeaks” in the video. Are you recording this while walking? XD
Canonically my Kanto team consists of Venusaur, Gyarados, Arcanine, Clefable, Nidoking, and Fearow. My non-canon Yellow Version team is Charizard, Victreebel, Vaporeon, Pikachu, Primeape, and Sandslash.
I made this team to see how it would do in showdown and i made two changes. I swapped out nidoking for rhydon and snorlax for chansey. Beast team i been doing great with in the ou format
This is a damn great team! I just haven't done it like this because I wouldn't usually want both Venusaur and Nidoking on the same team. Poison being more of a hindrance in this game than an advantage and having two of them. Usually I'd tend to favor Dugtrio if I started with Bulbasaur. It too has ground STAB (Which is awesome in this game) with both Dig and Earthquake, as well as the access to Rock Slide. Easy EXP as well being able to blaze through the electric gym almost immediately. Though Nidoking and Venusaur are both fairly OP in this game in their own ways that the double poison weakness probably doesn't inconvenience you that much. I'll have to try this!
@@pokerebels Bruh you replied! lmao I'm just giving you a hard time, but that annoying AF beep is a pet peeve of mine when watching RUclips videos. Overall I really like your vid, and I only disagree with the choice of dodrio and snorlax... I would replace with alakazam and tauros to give you the full hyper-offensive loadout

1. Jolteon L39 Rest,Thundershock,Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave 2. Nidoking L44 Bubblebeam,Thrash,Horn Attack, Body Slam 3. Venusaur L43 Leech Seed, Cut, Vine Whip, Razor Leaf 4. Doduo L20 Peck, Growl, Take Down, Fly 5. Snorlax L30 Mega Kick, Amnesia, Rest, Ice Beam This is my current squad, i am close to Seafoam Islands for Staryu. My Problem is chosing the Attacks/TMs to apply to each Pokemon, since you sped up your video and its hard to pause the video to see what you use, for example i screwd up with bodyslam TM since you gave Venusaur a nickname but the others keep their normal names. I gave Body Slam to Nidoking and not Venusaur (as you). Which Attacks do you suggest for my squad? Nidoran got the Moonstone, but I got a 2nd unused moonstone. Maybe I use it on Doduo or I give Doduo to the daycare center and drive bicycle until he is stong, he is so weak, i might catch a higher level Doduo first, mine is very low L20 and has HM Fly so daycare wont accept him. Why do you use Amnesia on your Snorlex and not Rest? I will have to get rid of one of those two attacks Sorry for so much typing and thank you for this video @@pokerebels
@@cassinni His team is: Jolteon: Thunderbolt, Agility, Double Kick, Pin Missile Starme: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Harden, Psychic Snorlax: Body Slam, Ice Beam, Amnesia, Earthquake Nidoking: Earthquake, Body Slam, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam Dodrio: Drill Peck, Tri Attack, Agility, Body Slam Venosaur: Razor Leaf, Body Slam, Mega Drain, Sleep Powder The footage has to be from different runs or he got some of them via trades because a bunch of these moves are single-use TMs. You can't make this comp naturally.
I would definitely just buy the magikarp outside mount moon and then leave it at the daycare. Come back after giving the drink to the gate guards and feed it a rare candy to turn it into Gyarados. That covers you for both surf and strength. And then he learns hydropump and hyperbeam.
How do you have multiple tms on multiple pokemon like that? You can only get one ice beam, thunderbolt, body slam..?? Im on yellow rn and not sure how you did this..?
most of those TMs are once per team. You're referring to thunderbolt on jolteon and starmie. being it's been a while, i don't remember if it was trade or dupe
I always opted to pick squirtle, then nidoran as you did, then growlithe or abra, spearow jolteon and like you snorlax. So blastoise, nidoking, fearow, jolteon, arcanine/alakazam and snorlax, if I picked charmander in the beginning it would be lapras as my water type
Ok, now do a team where you only have a single instance of every TM, just like in the game, and have decent movesets on all the Pokemon despite this :D Meaning only one Ice Beam, Rock Slide, Thunderbolt etc.
This team is decent. Here's my team for Yellow: Victreebel -Swords Dance - Razor Leaf -Body Slam - Sleep Powder Charizard -Swords Dance -Fly -Flamethrower -Earthquake Tauros -Blizzard -Body Slam -Earthquake -Hyper Beam Slowbro -Amnesia -Psychic -Surf -Ice Beam Gengar -Psychic -Thunderbolt -Hypnosis -Explosion Rhydon -Earthquake -Rock Slide -Body Slam -Fire Blast This team has Setup Sweepers, Stallers, Wallbreakers and a Physical Wall. Each pokemon can solo the Elite Four, or the entire game for that matter. With the Strongest pokemon consistently on the team being Victreebel oddly enough. Charizard was given Fly instead of Body Slam so that I could easily get around the map.
I’ve gone through all the comments and NO ONE is mentioning this?!?! How about playing a real version of the game where your rival picks the appropriate Pokémon… ?!?!?!? Venusaur vs Blastoise??? Come on, bro!
Ya I've caught both a male in blue and a female in red in the early section just for a test...but I wouldn't recommend it. It technically isn't game exclusive, but for sanity's sake I'd pick red for male and blue for female lol
Not bad. As you know 9 times out of 10 squirtle is my starter so it will be blastoise instead of venusaur. Jolteon is powerful enough to be a legendary. As in comparison to raichu but you do get pikachu early in the game which is why i always choose him. Flying types is either pidgeot or fearow for me. Sometimes i like to have a bug on my team so it is either butterfree or beedrill. I normally pick beedrill as he can carry the hm move cut and also can learn the tm containing swords dance which makes him very powerful with his physical stsb moves such as twin needle. For a pokemon which can carry the hm move strength i usually pick either nidoking or have snorlax for that. It just depends..
Maybe this has already been asked, but how did you get Jolteon, Starme, AND Nidoking to all learn Thunderbolt? It's a one time use TM and none of them learn it naturally except Jolteon. But it's too high level when you get Eevee, so you still have to use the TM. Also, how did you get Ice Beam on Nidoking, Snorlax, AND Starme? It's a one time use TM and none of them learn it naturally. Also, how did you teach Body Slam to Nidoking, Dodrio, Venosaur, AND Snorlax? I understand Snorlax gets Body Slam at lvl 35 but what about the other pokemon? Body Slam is a one time use TM.
@@pokerebels in your video, your Pokémon know those moves. I assume your footage is from the same run, but that doesn’t make sense because of the one-time use TMs. Which is why I asked.
@@pokerebels here is your team comp for the Elite Four: Jolteon: Thunderbolt, Agility, Double Kick, Pin Missile Starme: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Harden, Psychic Snorlax: Body Slam, Ice Beam, Amnesia, Earthquake Nidoking: Earthquake, Body Slam, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam Dodrio: Drill Peck, Tri Attack, Agility, Body Slam Venosaur: Razor Leaf, Body Slam, Mega Drain, Sleep Powder
Arcanine over Snorlax would complete that team to me. Not really a need for Snorlax and I want a fire type. Ninetales is underrated too but since you’re in red arcanine is the best
Not having Gyrados in this list is criminal. You buy it outside Mt. Moon and just drop it off at daycare. There is no grinding in that, you just go pick him up and use it to demolish the game.
Did you know that Poke flute can wake up Pokemon in battle but be careful since it also Wake up the opponents Pokemon in battle usually use it with A Snorlax with Rest to wall poisoning or Paralyzing Pokemon to save full heals 😁
@@pokerebels I'll be honest I totally don't know that the poke flute can be used in battle the reason I found out about it is because of the Snorlax I was about to capture it with a great ball but because my game is in fast forward I accidentally clicked the poke flute and wake it up that's why I came up with the combo a status absorbing I'm also using recoil moves since the best one is Submission if you want you can change the Body Slam to Double edge the strongest recoil moves in gen1 of course the 3rd move is rest for the fourth move I choose surf chose any sp Atk move you like surf is not consumable if there are shadow ball in gen 1 most of the best HM is already reserved for stab Pokemon use if you are not using a Nidoking Earth quake is really good on a Snorlax in my opinion they overlap since they can do the same things you can probably guess who will replace them yup It my favorite grinding spot Pokemon Dugtrio he totally abuse to mechanics in gen 1 the speed crit with slash and x accuracy with the HM Fissure boosted by pp up 😉
Charizard,Golem,Alakazaam,Nidoking,Jolteon,Golduck. . I always choose charmander because it requires more skill and you don't get to cheese your way though 1st couple of gyms with your starter. Also depends on which red version, if it was fire red that lineup if it was original red I didn't run Golem and ran Pidgeot instead since charizard couldn't learn fly.
If we're going to the actual elementary school childhood (circa 1998): My team was... Charizard (always one on my team, every generation). Vaporeon Zapdos Mewtwo Nidoking Rhydon
Sry but you are wrong. Nidoran male can be caught on Route 22 in blue. Nidoran male and female are NOT restricted to one of the editions I have always had a blue edition by myself and always play with nidoking.

Hey Peter! I agree - there is so many ways to really play up on the broken Pokemon in the game. As to the beeping, resolving that this week so videos will be void of that. Thank you for your support!
Wow... I'm hard pressed to provide any improvement on this team! I only wish you had footage that respected your rule of gym-ace lvl cap :)
On a deeper level, I have yet to see a best-team video that suggests intermediate team members to accompany you midjourney but be boxed later, mainly to absorb extra xp along the way (and avoid team overleveling) but also to improve on the fun factor... since in the Anime this happened a lot (krabby, muk, primeape, haunter, tauros...)
Please take this as a suggestion! I loved the video, thanks
When I did a run of Pokemon Blue, two Persians with Slash was all I needed to make it through the whole game.
That must have been a solid strat - Slash is broken i swear
You need coverage against ghosts, and may be teach bubble beam to one Persian against rock types and thunderbolt to the other against Cloyster and Gyarados, but actually a 2 Persians team + slaves could be enough
Keep making videos man. This was cool to watch.
Thank you so much Eduardo! Will do
says not going to over-level as venusaur reaches lv 48 battling erika...
🫣
Blastoise is my favourite pokemon. I just build a team around him.
Blastoise is a beast
@Udokee stadium was hard..you had to think outside the box and teach them unusual moves to get through that game. I just used to send in my level 100 mewtwo to do most of the sweeping
you gotta make a video for each region : )
Better believe on it 🙏🏽
you could add 1 more condition that you wont use your starter pokemon and use vileplume ubstead of venasaur
My go to team:
Starmie (Surf, Psychic, Thunder Wave, Recover)
Chansey (Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Seismic Toss, Softboiled)
Rhydon (Body Slam, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Fire Blast)
Tauros (Hyper Beam, Body Slam, Blizzard, Earthquake)
Zapdos (Agility, Drill Peck, Fly, Thunder)
Mew (Psychic, Strength, Cut, Dig)
Let’s goooo with the move sets 🙏🏽 Mew is an interesting one 🤔
Can I get a video for gen 2? Gen 2 was my gen 1 low key nostalgia wise (even though I owned red first)
Trust me James - Gen 2 is being crafted right now! (and it is my fav and my introduction to the series)
Nidoking recommended move set pls?
surf and EQ for sure!
That’s basically my lineup as a kid. Dodrio is so fun!
The triple headed bird was HUGE for me and still is
Yeah dodrio is OP mostly cause it can learn Tri attack and the other birds cant. If Pidgeot or fearow could learn Tri attack it would make them a lot more usable
Great video, mate! You earned a sub! 😎👍
🙏🏽 apperciate it
Dude, your team is legit!!
thank you so much Ryan!
Don't want to get a level 15 water-type in Lapras in Silph Co, but wait until you get to Seafoam Islands to get a level 20 water-type...
I mean heyy I feel like Starmie is worth it
My team wasn’t the best but I played blue, and this was my team
Venusaur, starter choice
Raichu, viridian forest.
Gyarados, bought it, thought it was useless but still trained it.. thx god i did
Pidegeot- caught it on the route to celadon city.
I caught a nidorino and didn’t realize to the ELITE FOUR that I needed a moon stone to evolve it
That's a pretty nice team!
THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE E IN PIDGEOT! AND THE E IN FLAREON SHOULD BE AFTER THE R!
@@Amelia4111 bro chill out they were typos 8 year old looking ahh
4 of these I actually use normally. Venusaur is my favorite starter, Jolteon and Snorlax are some of my favorite Gen 1 Pokemon, and Dodrio has the best learn set of all the normal birds.
I also enjoy using Poliwrath. And Persian is good because STAB Slash is nuts in gen 1 since crit rates increase with higher speed.
STAB is awesome in Gen 1
Great video and I agree with a few of these points, but it’s worth pointing out nidoking has one of the worst level up moves and relies too heavily on TMs to be good. Also Vapereon is better than Jolteon because of his hp and bulk and the best water type due to how early you get him. Oh, I kept hearing “squeaks” in the video. Are you recording this while walking? XD
🤦🏽♂️ smoke alarm
Canonically my Kanto team consists of Venusaur, Gyarados, Arcanine, Clefable, Nidoking, and Fearow.
My non-canon Yellow Version team is Charizard, Victreebel, Vaporeon, Pikachu, Primeape, and Sandslash.
those are some nice teams
@@pokerebels Then my Johto team consists of Feraligatr, Ninetales, Gengar, Ampharos, Umbreon, and Togetic.
Somebody needs to change the battery on their smoke detector....
Somebody realized that and fixed the issue after the Eevee video 😭 I hear you
Cool video, but sorta bummed to hear the fire alarm chirp
Thank you and thankfully its been fixed in the Eevee video and on!
I made this team to see how it would do in showdown and i made two changes. I swapped out nidoking for rhydon and snorlax for chansey. Beast team i been doing great with in the ou format
oooo that's a nice set! glad its doing well in ou even with the changes
You definitely should - great breakdown!
Yeah I'd go with Rhydon or Golem over Nidoking if I'm using Venusaur, I usually get Nidoking when Im using Blastoise
Isn't dugtrio's stats like, awful? How was it? Is it okay?
@@jordanmurray410sucks golem is awesome but you have to trade for him
@@jordanmurray410 what about with char?
How do you only have 4 caught at 5:23 with Nidoking and Ivysaur in your team? That is 5.
Replace the battery on your smoke alarm
On it David
@@pokerebels Bruh you replied! lmao I'm just giving you a hard time, but that annoying AF beep is a pet peeve of mine when watching RUclips videos.
Overall I really like your vid, and I only disagree with the choice of dodrio and snorlax... I would replace with alakazam and tauros to give you the full hyper-offensive loadout
@@davidricart1395 Those are two solid choices as well! And yeah, thankfully the videos I have coming going forward are in a new place free of the smoke alarm. We should be good
Everything in me wants to try this on pokemon stadium 1 on 64...i wanna make that happen....
this would be really good to do!
thanks for the video but on who do I use the 2nd Moon Stone? Duduo? I caught all 6 you use, sadly I gave bodyslam to nidoking and not venusaur
😭 who did you use the first one on?
1. Jolteon L39 Rest,Thundershock,Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave
2. Nidoking L44 Bubblebeam,Thrash,Horn Attack, Body Slam
3. Venusaur L43 Leech Seed, Cut, Vine Whip, Razor Leaf
4. Doduo L20 Peck, Growl, Take Down, Fly
5. Snorlax L30 Mega Kick, Amnesia, Rest, Ice Beam
This is my current squad, i am close to Seafoam Islands for Staryu.
I will have to get rid of one of those two attacks
Sorry for so much typing and thank you for this video @@pokerebels
@@cassinni His team is:
Jolteon: Thunderbolt, Agility, Double Kick, Pin Missile
Starme: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Harden, Psychic
Snorlax: Body Slam, Ice Beam, Amnesia, Earthquake
Nidoking: Earthquake, Body Slam, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam
Dodrio: Drill Peck, Tri Attack, Agility, Body Slam
Venosaur: Razor Leaf, Body Slam, Mega Drain, Sleep Powder
The footage has to be from different runs or he got some of them via trades because a bunch of these moves are single-use TMs. You can't make this comp naturally.
@@theNewGuy482 Yes, i was wondering because they are one time use TM's. Thank you very much.
This guy needs to change the batteries in his smoke detector.
This guy would be me Garrett. But thankfully it's fixed
@@pokerebels I’m glad you and your family are sleeping safely!
Jolteon is GOATED
WE AGREE
Sleeping on Persian is a huge mistake! With how crits work with slash and you can get him pretty early on.
For those who want to play blue instead they can just catch a diglett which is also good
That's solid to know!
I'd say Sandslash is a good option too.
@@glumanteri Anything with slash is STRONG
who did u teach cut and surf ?
Ivysaur and I think nido
Starmie. But the crazy thing is you need SURF to get to it
My team was Charizard, Alakazam, Zapdos, Blastoise, Venusaur, and Dugtrio
Yooo that’s a good team. That zapdos 😭
Venusaur, Nidoking, Machamp, Onix, Pinsir, Lapras
My childhood team even though it’s not the best
It's a pretty good team though
Mine wasn’t better haha. Blastoise, Pidgeot, Pikachu, Haunter, Hitmonchan, and Vileplume.
Ok, now do a team where you only have a single instance of every TM, just like in the game, and have decent movesets on all the Pokemon despite this :D Meaning only one Ice Beam, Rock Slide, Thunderbolt etc.
Ooooo this sounds promising!
Change the battery in your smoke detector good lord.
😂 I love this comment
This team is decent. Here's my team for Yellow:
Victreebel
-Swords Dance
- Razor Leaf
-Body Slam
- Sleep Powder
Charizard
-Swords Dance
-Fly
-Flamethrower
-Earthquake
Tauros
-Blizzard
-Body Slam
-Earthquake
-Hyper Beam
Slowbro
-Amnesia
-Psychic
-Surf
-Ice Beam
Gengar
-Psychic
-Thunderbolt
-Hypnosis
-Explosion
Rhydon
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Body Slam
-Fire Blast
This team has Setup Sweepers, Stallers, Wallbreakers and a Physical Wall. Each pokemon can solo the Elite Four, or the entire game for that matter. With the Strongest pokemon consistently on the team being Victreebel oddly enough. Charizard was given Fly instead of Body Slam so that I could easily get around the map.
the team WITH THE MOVESET - I love it!
Thanks! Yeah it takes a lot of work to dupe all the TM's in Yellow as opposed to Red/Blue, but it's worth it for sure.@@pokerebels
Lolololol, I hear the smoke alarm chirp
Venusaur, Nidoking, Mr. Mime (Marsel trade, for that fast leveling), Graveler, Dodrio, Starmie.
Thats such a nice team!

They all seem to be
That smoke alarm beeep though

Gengar
Golem
Victreebel

Poliwrath

I’ve gone through all the comments and NO ONE is mentioning this?!?!
How about playing a real version of the game where your rival picks the appropriate Pokémon… ?!?!?!? Venusaur vs Blastoise??? Come on, bro!
🤔
Nidoking being a Red exclusive this early was wild for us - had no idea until now!
Had no idea about this before!
It's not exclusive to red that early it's just a 5 percent encounter rate in blue instead of 35 percent in red.

It just depends..
that's a solid analysis - and you are right those mons make a solid team
Can’t wait for the fire red remake team without version exclusive💪🏻
Body Slam is a one time use TM.
when did we teach them all the TMs 🤔
@@pokerebels in your video, your Pokémon know those moves. I assume your footage is from the same run, but that doesn’t make sense because of the one-time use TMs. Which is why I asked.
@@pokerebels here is your team comp for the Elite Four:
Jolteon: Thunderbolt, Agility, Double Kick, Pin Missile
Starme: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Harden, Psychic
Snorlax: Body Slam, Ice Beam, Amnesia, Earthquake
Nidoking: Earthquake, Body Slam, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam
Dodrio: Drill Peck, Tri Attack, Agility, Body Slam
Venosaur: Razor Leaf, Body Slam, Mega Drain, Sleep Powder
I assumed maybe it was the Missingno. glitch where you can multiply items past 99. That’s usually how I did it.
Venasaur, Snorlax, nidoking, jolteon, alakazam, dragonight
ooo nice team
Arcanine over Snorlax would complete that team to me. Not really a need for Snorlax and I want a fire type. Ninetales is underrated too but since you’re in red arcanine is the best
Okay okay I see the need for a fire type
Going through the first 3 gyms with just 2 pokemon doesnt seem very fun to me
if they got power thats all you need
Clefable-Tentacruel-Golem-Electrabuzz-Jynx- was one of my favorite teams
Not having Gyrados in this list is criminal. You buy it outside Mt. Moon and just drop it off at daycare. There is no grinding in that, you just go pick him up and use it to demolish the game.
Is that a dying smoke detector battery in the backgound?
Yeah - but it's been fixed from the Eevee video on Andrew
Nidoran male can be found in the same spot in Pokémon Blue as in Pokémon Red, just rarer
Thanks for pointing that out ATW - I imagine it must be much harder to attain in Blue
@@pokerebels no it’s not really that much rarer you will find the rarer one within 3-4 mins
