I miss Lorna with Tom already. CJ is absolutely the perfect fit and is carrying the torch with amazing results but Lorna is Tom's band...the atmosphere of this band along with Tom's vocals was just a straight up masterpiece and original. Saw Lorna with CJ last week and he killed it though, and I'll still support this band no matter what. Extremely hyped to hear the new album with CJ.

I agree. Even though I loved Immortal, Flesh Coffin is still their best work in my opinion. The atmosphere and Tom's style of vocals just hit different.

I just realized why this vocalist reminds me of Chelsea Grin. It is so interesting to me to watch members of good bands, or even great band come and go and create even greater bands with each step in their career. I discovered Lorna Shore through their Immortal album and have loved them ever since. Now as I get into their older stuff, already being a fan of Chelsea Grin as well as A Wake in Providence, I quickly realize why I love their older stuff and newest stuff just as much (if not moreso) than the first album I heard. And now with Will Ramos leading them I cannot be happier. Chelsea Grin and the new Lorna Shore are both equally brutal in my book and I love learning that they share roots.
I’m hoping Tom will use CG as a vessel to expand off Lorna’s OG sound.
I’m more excited for CG new album with Tom rather than Pain Remains.
Comparing the singles that have released currently rom each album I already like CG more. (However I don’t like CG pre Tom with Alex).
Pain Remains is corny. And old CG is wack. I’m biggest fan of original Lorna and CG with Tom. Maybe I’m just a Tom Barber fan the most.
Toms themes are just better. His signature sound is epic. The themes of early work like Psalms and Maleficium are great in Lorna. And also the theme of Suffer in Hell/ Heaven are way better than anything CG ever did. I think “Evolve” from CG is their worst stuff.
Pain Remains is a corny theme and Will Ramos literally had the metal community in his hands and he wasted it on some tacky soap opera symphony black metalcore shit.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of Return To Nothingness and that EP had me so hyped for another Lorna album ,, but then Pain Remains had to go mess it up.
Thank goodness Tom has CG as a vessel to keep making music
@@dlrsnate5100 interesting perspective. I loved CG's last single and look forward to the album release but so far every single released by LS has been pure greatness (obviously in my opinion). Dancing Like Flames is good but definitely not my favorite single and the second Pain Remains was just not bad to me. Sun//Eater is fucking amazing and Cursed To Die is a close second favorite to Sun//Eater.
I'm a huge fan of symphonic death metal though so the orchestral aspects of the last few singles really resonate with me. I think it juxtaposes the heaviness of the deathcore style nicely.
I'll have to check out more of CGs newest releases though, sounds like they're all pretty good.

Toby Hubler almost certain they sample his parts or whatever other method you could use for live shows. in a video they said they've recorded using MIDI bass so its not the first time they havent used a "real" bass player

You figure it out yet? lol. Gotta do it yourself to figure out stuff like that man. I will say you need to hear yourself on a mic though at first to get the idea of it. Thats how i started but its been a few years since I've done it but still remember the technique
