Literally the only one competently casted is Krieg... who wears a fucking mask so it doesn't really matter.
If Kevin Hart is Roland, might as well have Tiny Tina be played by Dwayne the Rock Johnson.

Currently replaying BL2 for god knows how many iterations and you are not at all wrong.

The gore isn't usually shown in these clips, which are produced for airing on talk shows/interviews during the press junket.

I think those 2 are the best choices for the roles. Like Claptrap is completely off, he doesn´t sound anything like Claptrap they butchered the mascot of the game. Tiny Tina is way too old, she is this psychotic litte kid not a 20 year old teenager and Roland is bigger and taller guy than that.

@Darthadios I'm of the opposite opinion. Roland, Tina, and Krieg look fine, but Tannis and Lilith are distractingly off. Also Clap Trap's voice doesn't sound like the original at all.

The thing to remember about movie adaptations is that they don't make them for fans of the source material. Movie adaptations are made for people who have heard of the original thing but *aren't* fans of it. They already got the fans' money, a movie adaptation only exists to wring money out of *everyone else* who won't know or care how authentic it is.
Does even matter to complain or rant about how entertainment medias are so low quality, nowadays? People just label you "hater" and others buzz words and keep following the same path.

In my eyes, the only way to prevent a huge flop would be to cel shade the film before release, like they did with BL1.
What were u guys thinking with the casting? Not only do most of the actors not fit the characters in the game, but it's not even accurate. Too many of the actors are old for the characters they're playing, and where's Brick & Mordecai? 😭
The rating isn't something I was worried about, but they should've kept everything the same as the games. More accuracy and sequel potential in that, which means there would've been more money, and more fans (or vice versa).
This makes me embarrassed to admit I'm a fan of the games.....

I mean, why not cast actors that actually fit the roles? Emilia Clarke as Lilith and maybe David Ramsey as Roland (Jamie Foxx too, but he might be too old). Would probably be cheaper!

I know Gearbox had a falling out with Claptrap voice actor. Kevin Hart is a terrible choice for Roland, but I think he would have been a decent pick for Claptrap. He's great at in your face obnoxious insecure characters, and that is 100% Claptrap.
It kinda sucks that borderlands video games are rated M for mature but the movie is rated PG-13

This is horrible casting. Kevin Hartman as Roland? Seriously? Roland is a heroic figure, Hartman is half the man Roland is in the games. Literally.
And who cast the female characters? In the games the female characters are not old broken down dried up has-beens. If the movie was made in the 90s, the female casting would be OK. Great work at creating something as bad as the recent marvel or DCU trash.

Casting is terrible, story already makes no damn sense because they replaced Mordekai and Brick with Tiny Tina and Krieg (because they're more marketable, even though everyone is fucking sick of Tina now from you over using her), everything looks cheap as hell, and the humor is already at a lower bar than the worst hunor in the series.
Its amazing really, its like they actively went out of their way to make a terrible movie but forgot to tell the costume designer, because they're the only salvageable part of this.

Man I like how that the developers themselves worked on this movie and yet the movie looks like crap and whoever casted these people to play these characters should be fired because Kevin Hart is playing as a character who is much taller in the games and considering that most of these people who are cast the ladies characters are super old then their video game counterparts and I found out the person who is playing the Red hair girl had wasted her money on buying a PlayStation 5 and a copy of borderlands just to have a understanding of the source material and I already know once this movie hits theaters she's just going to let that console collect dust and not touch it again and I only feel like Jack Black has been casted for Claptrap is because of one of his songs saying the F word and it became a big meme but this movie is PG-13 even though the borderlands series is rated M for mature
