GREAT 👌 AITEORI,
Because there's Frieren, basically a LoTR level in the anime world.
@@johntan4997 and CRUNCHYROLL didn't even bother promoting their own show
@@johntan4997 there's was a lot of good shows previous seasons.
And the disappointment known as Metallic Rouge too T_T what a waste of time
It was a busy season, or maybe we were just tired from the season before (I had 20+ series I was watching). Solo Leveling, The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, Delicious in Dungeon, Sasaki and Peeps, and Season 2 of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy were some of my favorite at the same time we got The Unwanted Undead Adventurer.
Regardless, this was a great anime. I live the fantasy and isekai anime where monsters protagonist can evolve. Lately, Re:Monster is my jam, but Reincarnated as a Sword and and Reincarnated as a Slime were also wonderful. The latter got me into "Statecraft anime" - How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom.
Anyway, enough recommendations from me. Love your anime review!❤
Rentt is just the most likable MC I've seen in some time. It feels good to see others being good.
Also the most Luckiest and Unlucky MC ... Somehow . Like Kamen Rider Den-O
"The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash" is another wholesome one from that season. The OP is beautifully animated, and the opening and ending songs are heartfelt, especially as you watch the series and understand more of the mc's journey.
Wasnt it last season?
yeah that one is good too, i mean the op of the mc is more with her familiar but the mc herself is not overpower without her familiar. The anime does a good job why this particular person was able to survive with so little.
That's the one with the little girl with green hair right? I wanted to watch itbut I forgot about it. Been watching only the top top shows for awhile 😅
@@obrians-brown1307 There's been 3 or 4 in a handful of years about taming slimes. I'm not even counting the one with rimuru, I mean literally you can barely tell them apart at this point.
Tensai Kizoku and Tensei Kazoku can't even be distinguished in writing. Then you watch one of those types, that looks even a bit different, and it's hard to tell apart from How a REAlist Hero Rebuilt a Kingdom.
It's like I Reincarnated As A Noble with a Cheat Skill, and The Adventures of... How I Reincarnated As A Noble with a Cheat Skill. Things are getting a tad absurd.
@@sboinkthelegday3892 I get you
Social Richness is a very key thing that everyone needs.
And sadly something that is dying out as costs rise, people work more hours to make ends meet, and friendships wither on the social vine because no one has the time anymore.

In my Role Playing group, one of my characters is an undead but the religion and culture she comes from is all home brewed and meant to be my way of creating an undead necromancer that is not evil. I actually took some time to think out the morals and tenets of her culture. How they don't reanimate a body with out the consent of the soul. How they value and protect life because they see it as an important first chapter of being, where one grows, loves, parents, elders and eventually dies and starts the second chapter of their existence under the grace and power of their god of undeath. Her family is very large because no one really dies and few people ever leave the safety of their city because the outside world is unforgiving and merciless to the undead/necromancers. Once i fleshed these things out, it became apparent that is was the classic tale of how the greater community of good and decent people, no matter what they believe or worship, will always be haunted by the wicked actions of those who give them a bad name.
All the play sessions i have done with this character have been interesting and dangerous because she could be found out and killed with out trial just for being what she is, regardless of who she is. And the who is a daughter, mother, grandmother, great grand mother and greater still for several generations, all of who are still with her in undeath, but none of that will matter in the eyes of a zealous paladin should that day come.
Nice! I've not really seen much media tackle that kind of angle.
The closest thing I can think of is "The witch and the beast" in which one of the important side characters (Phanora) is a necromancer and so when she turns up they delve a bit into how necromancy works in their world in terms of morality and mechanics.
In that series, the undead need to get regular maintenance from the necromancer who raised them to keep their humanity else their mind starts to degenerate and they begin to lose themselves plus being raised removes your soul from the reincarnation cycle (if the undead's body is ever destroyed their soul becomes stuck in limbo instead) so in addition to the usual reasons, that is also part of why it's considered immoral/evil to raise someone without the permission of either themselves or their direct family. The city this arc takes place in has a whole set of laws regarding contracts and whatnot for being raised and the like.
@@Geminosity Nice. My home brew has a similar system with the undead maintenance. Either they can go to the priests of their faith and get rejuvenated to be as fresh as the moment they died, or the undead can perform acts of worship or tribute to their god in exchange for rejuvenation or other necromantic perks. These acts need not be reanimating exclusively, an undead can eat food or drink but the act it self is an offering to their god or a sacrifice not unlike leaving offerings of food at a shrine or temple. Communion with the dead or spirits in service to their god is also accepted.
I have fun developing the concept more as time goes on.
This is a really cool story. I've never liked the idea that light is always good and dark always evil. Its about what a person does, not what abilities they have or how they look, that makes someone good or evil
As an introvert everything you stated in the middle of this video sounds absolutely terrifying to me lol. That said - I 100% get the sentiment and while I probably won't go out and hug a homeless person, I do my best to be amicable and show them they aren't invisible. I also try to greet everyone I walk past and try to spread at least a little bit of goodwill as best as I can. As for this anime, it does sound very good. I haven't really watched an anime in a good long while, so maybe this can be my next one.
Oh trust me I get you. I'm an INFP but when it comes to helping people, my empathy kinda overrides my introversion. I can do it in short bursts lol. Like the retail job I had, people started coming more to that location because they claimed I made them feel very happy. I loved that I could make people smile but I was DRAAAAINNED after. I came home, and told my mom and dad I didn't wanna talk to them and passed out on my bed lol
@@Alteori I totally get you. I also have alot of empathy and when I actually let it do its thing, I feel exhausted. But then you see what your efforts have done to make a person's day brighter and it just feels so good. I always end up wanting to do more, but eventually anxiety starts eating at me and I return back to my shell. It's definitely a process.
@@soulechelon2643 OMG SAME!!!! My mom told me it's a blessing and a curse
Even simply making someone crack a smile is a great service to some people. Cause many of us go about our day without a single one.
Its always the skeletons that become the best heroes in the east
This one is part man, part skeleton.
Okay, you convinced me, I'll watch it!
You should look into a hidden gem from last season. The weakest tamer starts a journey by collecting trash. Long title but fantastic aeries.
Thanks for the suggestion!
You've likely seen anything I've watched, but on the off chance, "apothecary diaries" and "the king's avatar" (which I believe a new season will be out soon, so I'll be restarting from the beginning, myself).
I’d absolutely love to hear your take on Freiren: Beyond Journey’s End. It’s one of my new favorite shows now and I find its overall message and story to be beautiful, as well as truly captivating animation and a phenomenal soundtrack.
Right when i was looking for something to watch you drop this banger. God bless you Alteori
8:29 I tried to give the waitress a really big hug ... I got slapped and a night in jail :((
Beautiful video!!! I’m gonna have to check this anime out it sounds great!! Got it set on my list now and I loved your dialogue at the end on how we can get lost in the negativity of life rather than embracing the positive, it was very touching. Love the channel and the new avatar btw!!
Watching Luaraine and Rennt go back and forth was always a good highlight for the week.
This is why I watch movies and shows. I love the ones where it has a message deep within that is organic and meaningful. Elfen Lied was my first anime that wasn't the Naruto/Boruto series. It made me cried at the end. I cried by the end of Made in the Abyss Season 1. I felt something after watching the Evangelion movies. Truly Anime has a creatively beautiful way of displaying organic interactions and meanings
Man THANK you for this. I used to watch EVERY decently big anime(and all the isekai) but for awhile I've been just watching the top shows and the second seasons of shows I already like. This is the first new non big show I've watched in awhile, and I LOVE this already. I watched your video like two hours ago or something and I'm already on the fourth episode.
Man I WISH America media was as good as this, or as good as it used to be, this is so damn good. (side note man I want him to get a human-ish form and marry Lorraine!, they should've been married already! She is awesome, they get along great, and she's Baaaad AF 😂)
the manga for the unwanted adventure has some top tier art
Feather fox, you are a sweet bean. Thank you for this video. I watched this anime, and I loved it too.
I’ll come back and rewatch your video, you just got me hooked halfway through, and now I want to watch it first 😁

Thank you so much for recommending this anime! I’m binging it now, and it’s even better than I expected.
Absolutely wonderful video lass!
One of my favourite anime so far this year. I'd recommend checking out Mr. Villain's Day Off, another wholesome anime from last season.
Thank you for the recommendation
Just from the way this anime has ya talking in this video... It must be a real banger, I'll have to keep it on my radar since I think we can use some lighter hearted, down to Earth type fantasy stories every now and again and it definitely seems like it's encouraging a very kind side of you that it's nice to get a glimpse of. Yeah... Internet kinda made everyone crazy and lockdown brought everything to a boil but most people really aren't terrible in person and we're all just people living our lives the best we can, soms are well off, some aren't, but everyone deserves some level of respect and empathy as human beings. Can we say this more often? Because I'd love to hear this more often. Bad news sells and stories that get passed around have a natural tendency to get inflated so things might seem crazy and terrible at times but there's still good things to find and hold onto, to appreciate, to cultivate yourself in your own small way. Spreading positivity also takes so much less energy then spreading fear or hate so I've also always felt like doing small kindnesses for others feels right and I don't need any thanks, knowing I helped someone or made their day just a little brighter is payment enough and sometimes I worry that feeling is undervalued in today's society, but I don't really think so. Individuals will always notice and care, we just all need a break from our homes and the internet every now and again to connect with others in person
Oh, and... I'm gonna go add this one to my to watch list before I forget, I've already watched Hell's Paradise recently, anyone know if there's gonna be a second season btw? And I just finished season two of Jujitsu Kaisen and after the latter one, yeah, I could probably use something more light hearted to give myself a break since I normally go for more melancholy animes, buuuttt... Welcome To Demon School, Uruka-kun is also in the list of stuff I've watched alongside a couple psycological horror ones and Tokyo Ghoul, so I say that but it's probably much more all over the place, I just remember the darker ones a lot easier... ^^' Anyway, thank you, always happy for any anime recommendations, that and music recommendations I hoard like a dragon with gold lol
I loved that anime! Really hoping for a season 2!
Absolutely love this, and cliff at the end. Look forward to both dub and s2 announcement.
Yep. Anime and movies and shows from Asia.
I loved the manga and reread it yearly ,so I'm happy it got picked up for a proper faithful anime . Thanks for loving too
Your new avatar is amazing)
This and Frieren were my favorites during the last few seasons. Both anime gave me new views in what art can convey and had me reflect on my works.
i've been reading the manga for this semi regularly for at least a year or two and its good and glad to hear it seems the anime is being done well and can't wait to get around to watching it and hope more of it gets released
Went on an Isekai/Fantasy world anime binge and this was one of them. This anime was a nice find and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope there is a season 2.
Eeeeeeee! Fennec Alteori !!!!
Hello Alteori.
The Unwanted Undead Adventurer. Never heard of this movie, hmm, I might be interested of watching it.
Anyway, another great video, Alteori, I like it, see you in the next one.
Friend, that intro monologue was so true and relatable. One major reason i decided to get into anine and manga in 2021 was because i wanted media that was entertaining and had good characterization and no divisive toxic identity politics. Also, glad this anine was great. I sadly missed it due to college but i recently bought the light ovels and can't wait to read em and watch the anime
Last season was so stacked that I couldn't check this but heu, if it has the Alteori seal of approval I'll give it a try
That's why I like anime as well. Thank you
Awesome video
The new avatar is sooooo cute! ❤
I'm caught up on the LNs, and all i xan ay, is that this is one where the story takes its time, but you never really feel like it's moving slowly because of how much the new info can make you look back on what you already knew, and reevaluate it
Not for nothin' but watching the Unwanted Undead Adventurer reminded me of "Little House on the Prairie" (which I only started watching a few months ago). I don't know if it's the way both shows depict that less technological, "pioneer life" or the humanity of the characters but there's a wholesomeness that refreshes and inspires me to be like some of those characters and treat the world as they do.
Yeah, I getcha.
finally someone talking about it, its actually pretty good and has a decent story
Finally! Someone talks about this anime it’s so good!
Seriously this show is so good, only 2 episodes left already... Heard it flew under the radar, I really hope we get multiple seasons.
"Just read manga and be happy." That should become our new slogan.
id love to see a review on made in abyss or something like that. more anime reviews!
I love Ms. kobiyashi's Dragon Maid
So as a huge anime fan a few recommendations for the currently airing season to keep your eye on and give a try.
Go! Go! Loser Ranger - Think Boys but with power rangers instead. Written by the guy who did The Quintessential Quintuplets. He wanted to do this project first but was told to wait until he had some solid work under his belt. It paid off.
KonoSuba S3 - I mean come on we all need to see some gender equality punches from old lord Kazuma
Spice and Wolf - When I heard this was making a come back I literally fell out of my chair. Solid slice of life fantasy with best girl Holo and you can fight me on that.
Train to the end of the world - Utterly bizarre original anime but if you like girls going on an wacky adventure than you should have fun and so far I've been having fun with it.
Kajiu no 8 - You like big monsters? You like them big and chunky? Well have I got a series for you. So far personally it's a little slow for me but I imagine we're beginning to up the pace and action.
didn't expect this to get so wholesome near the end
Check out cycle pass, air gear, hellsink , helsink unlimited, code geass, Cold breaker, high School DxD, log horizon, Kona suba and these are just a few that I can remember the top of my head
I read a few volumes of the books and forgot about while waiting for another volume ima have to check it out again.
I wish I could see people the way you do. It's difficult to see the good in others a lot of the time.
I love this series tbh. Lotta wholesome moments
Unwanted Undead Adventurer was really good and highly under-rated. Usagi Drop was really cute and sweet too.
0:09 oh you thought you slick 😂
Another wholesome one is By the Grace of the Gods. I mean, it's just soooo peaceful to watch Ryoma live his life with his slimes ❤
oh also nice footage of Planet of Lana
interesting you got that from this anime, i got that from Violet Evergarden because this anime shows that we all have the same feelings for the most part, also not shying away from showing war mongerers in the story about Love
Wanted more of that vampire in the mansion with the maze, really liked her character
Alteori have you and your husband seen Frieren Beyond the Journey?
I would love to hear your praises/opinions for it.
I would like to see you review code geass and hears your opinion on it.
Hello I agree with some of the stuff you said in this video and also I like the new image you're using for your figure it's a lot more cuter anyways the two favorite anime cartoon shows I watched when I was growing up was Digimon and Dragon Ball I love them those were my favorite anime and cartoon shows when I was growing up now that I'm all grown up around 30 years of age I don't watch the new season of Digimon because it's in Japanese and it's a real pain in the butt to find it or even to get it in English and ask for Dragon Ball well they haven't released any new episodes or new season at all however I'm perfectly content and happy watching the original series of both all over again on my tablet thanks to a cartoon website and it also gives you access to other old cartoon shows like tenshi Moya or Tenchi universe oh yeah I just remembered another old classic that everyone's probably going to remember and love Pokemon remember pikachu.
Alteori, if you haven't watched "The Owl House" yet, i recommend it. it is a really great show and i think you'll probably like it.
Finishing up Blood Blockade Battlefront, and despite some minor issues it's got some heart to it and worth a watch.
Here are some anime quotes from animes that actually make you think more than the modern western show makes you think.
(Granted, most of these shows are very well-made on what they do best, but the point still stands.)
"Don't believe in yourself! Believe in those who believe in you!" -Gurren Lagon
"When you become a powerful monster, that means you were too weak to be Human." -HellSing Ultimate
"The only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed!" -Code Geass
These are a few that are listed out of dozens I've heard in watching anime.

I remember reading this as a manga, didn’t even know it got a anime, if it gets a season 2, sh*t will get dark

Kinda similar to Spy x Family
I read the manga. Good stuff.
I just started watching this 😀
Wow I did not expect you to have seen this.
Have you tried Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End?
Just like another excellent and thoughtful anime 'The Legendary Hero is Dead'.

Been watching mushoku tensei and it’s been pretty dope seeing how the main character grows as a person from a degenerate into an actual person
Now we wait for season 2

I have one question, IS the BGM good? Cause the one way to tell if the Anime is gold is if the music that accompanies said anime is also gold.
The intro music is TOTAL BIRD ASS!!!!!! I haaaaaate it! lol but the BGM is ok. It's nothing earth shattering.
Loved this anime!!!
Im sold 2 minutes into this video, say no more! Thanks Alteori, I'm halfway through ep 2 and im happy so far. Crunchyroll claims its from 2001, i do not believe this to be true hehe
HOLY MOLY 2001????? LOL Oh no.... The one I'm talking about is from 2024
Aint watched but did watch the Anime Recap and thought it was well worth the watch, maybe once i get my data for the month ill bing it.
If you’re looking for good anime then I recommend Frieren: beyond journeys end
It dethroned Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood from the #1 spot on MyAnimeList for good reason. It's excellent.
@@Nomisdoowtsae the mimic also got higher than some of the main characters on a popularity poll so its fanbase is also wholesome
I wish more anime employed more Japanese settings/designs and less European designs/themes.
Anyone have any idea if Alteori has seen Frieren?
I'm referring a great anime it's called "campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill".
This vid came at a good time. I don't have much to watch right now and I've been struggling a bit to write a character for a dnd game.
Wanted to branch out and try a druid, however i do not like the nature/hippie stereotype for them. So i decided instead to make one who cares a great deal about their small community because it is wholesome and looks out for one another. While loathing the disconnect cities bring between people.
