I have a T-shirt that says "And we have picture! That's Crazy! LOL!" and at the back it says "Hello! so we are back and this time we have nice laptop to repair" 😄 we love you sorin 😉
😂😂😂 send me one
Hello Sir can you please tell me in which country do you live? May be one i will pay you visit. I do love what you're doing. I'm passionate about latop repair. Do you train for repairing?
Glad i found ur channel sorin, learned how 2 check my old laptops, used a couple of ur tricks and fixed 3 laptops in an afternoon, old acer laptops
Always check docking connector in case of water damage. It oftentimes causes intermittent problems like you experienced with screen
what is docking connector?
Screen issue, there is a high possibility that there was some oxidation on the ribbon cable contacts. When you first opened the screen, you said that there was liquid damage on the screen board covering. Repeatedly connecting ribbon cable scraped off what was insulating the contacts.
Just one possibility for consideration.
oh, when will the customers understand that you have to drink vodka, not juice or water, at the laptop... 😁
48:10 you did cleanup of liquid from main board, but i believe lid sensor might be on the daughterboard next to disk tray. Guess we'll see in next episode if ever this laptop comes back ;p
I would have checked the lid sensor immediately after I was faced with the missing backlight
Sorin: Note Frozen bios was part of the problem too. All Toshiba Z series have frozen bios issue and will happen again, over and over after using a few weeks. Manufacturer fixed these issues with bios update which then makes laptop show splash screen 'Dynabook' since Toshiba sold their laptop business to Sharp in 2018. I also have Z30 and had same frozen bios many times and to fix requires open laptop and remove bios battery. After 2 years of this pain I eventually decide to update bios to Dynabook latest release and frozen bios issue is gone forever.
I absalutly love watching this mans videos i strive to be and learn as much as he does even though its you tube videos i always feel like i come away learning new things from him Thanks so much!!!!
Great job, Sir. thank you for sharing.
I believe the problem is the screen cable, might have something to do with the first and second pin (shorted?)
Best video ever better action than marvel movies
Good job mate 👏
Perfect sunday :)
The laptop thought it was docked. Then you cleaned it. The cleaning fluid evaporated away and sweat conductive liquid was moved away by your re removal of the back. It then was no longer getting a "docked" signal.
I do hope it's calibrated water 😂
Good Learn :)
one day suddenly stop working backlight ! exactly how it fixed .
at all original display is LG display and picture quality is NICE but one you connected is trash :)
What you should do is charge customers a small non refundable free whereby you enquiry about the system before they send it in, they can probably call or email before. Because these older systems its to feasible to diagnose and fix. If they insist sure. This entire system used is on ebay for just about a 100usd, another one is on auction starting at 9.99usd. Again as always perfect educational video.
good. respect.
the sorin magic fluid 😎
30:41 if we don't have image on internal display AND no backlight while having fully functional laptop via HDMI, i'd go for Hall sensor of lid.
I bet there was a bit of crud in that connector and when you disconnect and reconnect so many times it dislodged itself.
Shorting the BIOS battery... wait what?! Oh, not the battery :D
i've fixed sweet liquid damage with dishwasher and then displacing water with IPA in ultrasonic cleaner, but it was THT electronics ;d
In cases of liquid damage removing the board to check the other side seems like a wise idea.
Damn, don't people know that they can not shower a laptop ...🤣😂....????
Lid sensor the entire time?
Sound's very plausible. Also i had same case with similar tecra...same type of soda liquid damage and it took me some time to figure out that some of the damage was hiding in docking connector and it caused intermittent problems ..
maybe
I've seen in the video early, when sorin open the lid, it's taking 0 amp, but when he close the lid, it's taking 20 miliamps
Sorin it's nice to learn 😅
Probably it's not a bad ideia to replace the screen cable, an internal line from this cable is probably ruptured and making intermitente contact. Screen is working now because you messed with the cable a bit, but probably the screen cable will fail again with the opening and closing of the desktop lid screen.
45:58 !!MAAGICCCCC¡¡¡¡
Magic!
Nice one
20:39 better than factory ;d
One big rabbit hole.
I guess it was a dirty pin, ie, plug it in and out a few times and it made contact.
39:27 Well Apple does put hv and data pins together, that's one of the main issues with Apple laptops dying. But that's a good thing..... Apple laptops are good for landfill lol
Very Nice! 😎😎😎
Toshiba laptops are nice
Salutari Sorin, sper ca ești conștient că uneori numești petardele astea "nice" Ps de ce primești la reparat doar vechituri ?
Could you not try an external screen?
wow full keyboard keys
Giood video ist the mistery screen
👍
Does anybody know where he go the box full of different charging tips? Or did he just put them together himself?

I have a toshiba laptop that quits charging once the battery reaches 50%, any ideas what to check first, or just buy a new battery and try that. Everything else works perfectly, but note that it is windows Vista vintage satellite laptop and barely used for the past few years.
mostly battery issue
Satellite battery will be 10+ years old, worn out. Replace with new battery or chinese copy new battery and problem should be fixed.
@@g4z-kb7ct Thanks, I was leaning that way.
@@maklogetrich2378 Thanks, that's what I think too. She's old.
Interesting. That thing it was not charging well still got not explanation.
❤
NEW Screen, NOT new anymore
This is not easy pizza 😊

Hello Sorin and guys. I hope you are doing well. I want to ask you guys about what to do with my Acer laptop. It is stuck in boot loop. It shows Acer logo then shuts down within 5 seconds and keeps restarting infinitely. It also cannot access Automatic Repair, cannot access Recovery, cannot access Windows Install Media USB and does not detect any bootable media according to message in black screen when I place USB install media on top of boot order. The laptop only works and stays on while in BIOS menu. I have tried reseating RAM, swapping RAM locations, reseating Hard Drive, reseating CMOS battery... This issue started happening when I cleaned fan and replaced thermal paste. What can I do?
Check your thermal paste spread . It sounds like bad contact with cooler and thermal shutdown..
@@yellouu_theree what should the spread be like? I checked it, it was just like the original was
Well.. spread out evenly and thin.. 😄 verify that you have not knocked any nearby component or scratched a board trace somewhere for start especially look out for small resistor knocked out (used as thermal sensor)
Sounds to me like your Windows operating system is corrupted. Therefore can do a clean install you might have to configure the BIOS to boot from a USB drive with Windows on it. Another trick you can use to see if your problem is software related. is to create a bootable puppy Linux portable USB, boot from and if it works then you have better idea what your problem is.
try removing the hard drive and optical drive (if exist)
let's see if you can enter bios or not
If you don't know what was wrong, then it is not fixed yet.
@@radminas2739 I agree with this comment since the one time i fixed laptop. replaced something, make it working. however for some weird reason. Everytime you left unused a laptop for just a few hours or days then remember to use it back again to check. It always comes back with the same issue no different at how the problem was first checked .
gremlins?
loooool
.
