I am having the option of taking emergency medicine but i am a very slow thinker and slow in doing things.....and more of an introvert...have a fear of working in groups and also don't have the confidence to take surgical branches.....really confused in what am I actually interested in...
Hey there’s a branch that suits each personality. For introverts who like working alone usually nuclear medicine, radiology, anesthesiology, dermatology works. Ophthalmology and gen medicine too can work alone.
@@NandiLL.Bnope you’re wrong sir/ma’m, not liking surgical specialities and being introvert doesn’t make anyone less of a doctors. There are tons of doctors who are introverts. And most doctors in medical schools get to know if they are inclined towards surgical branches or not. Stop spreading negativity.
I’ve seen tons of introvert doctors doing really well.
Pathology is too an excellent banch for introverts apart from the few mentioned above. Good luck !
A physician is really physician in emergency ward.
By the way I’m an emergency medicine specialist. Thank you for this video🙏
How is the branch ? Too stressful?
@@meg369 Yes, as a emergency medicine specialist working can be very stressful sometimes.
Sir, Can We Practice As A Physician after MD Emergency Medicine, As Atleast, all MD Emergency Medicine doctors are having a capacity of MBBS?
@@RanjitJoshi-hj6tz for sure Sir
@@muzafferozturk8950Sir,how is MD emergency medicine in Jipmer puducherry?
Pl share books nd source of knowledge for md emergency medicine
Tintinallis is the main reference textbook for EM. Also Rosens😊
Since there is soo much violence against doctors in India is it safe to take EM? I love this branch but the angry patients and violent attenders is making me second guess about taking this branch
This comes from a Advocate. You r a Doctor and Doctor s defend the lives of patients. Do not behave like cowards. We Advocates have to face criminals. Police departments face criminals and those r high risk jobs. Dr. r protected by law of land. There r laws and by laws to defend you. Unless there r cases of medical negligence you hv nothing to fear.
@@AruJyo264but we took mbbs to avoid all that nonsense and peaceful and respectful life
@@SSS-dn3uz peace is not cheap much like freedom. If you really desire peace you need to go forest or himalayas. India is 1.3 billion nd chaotic
@@AruJyo264😂😂 that's true
Sir, how different is emergency medicine from anaesthesia? Because anaesthesiologists also handle emergencies. I'm confused which branch to take between these two.
Anaesthesia and Emergency Medicine PG residencies are quite different. The areas where aneasthetists work are CONTROLLED environments (OTs and ICUs). In the words of one of my anaesthesia colleagues, they devote a lot of time in mastering human physiology. Patients being taken up for elective OTs are already thoroughly worked up and optimised with PAC and all and PLANNED.
Emergency physicians are trained in working on the ED floor where UNDIFFERENTIATED and unplanned patients are received whose disease severity range from mild to perimortem. Here, resuscitation and assessment go hand in hand in an attempt to stabilise the physiology first, followed by definitive diagnosis and management in most cases.
Both anaesthetists and EM physicians handle critically sick patients and perform critical care, aneasthetists in the ICUs and Emergency physicians on the ED floor for as long as the patient is in the ED.
Thank you sir.
@@devanshgupta3887 Sir I wanted to know if we can begin our journey of learning in this branch after we take it , as seen in other branches or are we supposed to be in a certain place diagnostically before taking this branch?
What is the scope of developing ED ICU in india
That one night stand line was hilarious 😂😂
after listening to this interview i feel Emergency Medicine in nothing but Hifi CMO job.
It is not Hifi CMO job…you can say Hi-Paying CMO job…😁😁😁
How many hours is one shift in emergency medicine?
6 hrs - Morning
6 hrs - Evening
12 hrs - Night
6-6-12 in rotation
The 6 can become 8-9 because of handover and all.
So one can do any one of the shift or 2 shifts or all the shifts?
@@meg369 No, no. They'll put duty roster and everything. The corresponding institute department.
