Very brave of you the way you ripped right through all those poison ivy vines and then collected them up with your hands. Show us in a couple days how that turned out. Good job on the clean up. You're a hard working guy.
You know, Evan, that you'd probably be alarmed by how many of your viewers turn to your channel for the "escape" from real and perceived (imagined?) pressures. Thanks to you and Rebecca for providing these glimpses into your lives. I know y'all are worning hard to "make it happen" and our good wishes are with you. I know you're bustin' your behinds, but for us, it's just "quiet time." Thanks again!
All of your work has paid off Evan, you two have done a marvelous job on the fence rows. Isn't it great to go outside and just look around and say to yourself look at how we have transformed the looks to OUR property. We are sure proud of you folks for all you have done around there and shared with us on your videos . Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
When you mentioned you had an electrical degree I said I knew it because of all the electrical you do. Your finished work always is expertly installed, and neatly done.
Agreed! It's an art, after all. It has been said that an experienced "old hand" inspector can just about tell you exactly who wired a box just by opening the cover and glancing inside. Kudos on your solar "exploration" good work there too. And thank your lucky stars you don't live where a.c. is a "must." Beautiful footage of a beautiful (and, it seems, ever improving) place. Camera skills improving apace. Will be glad to "follow you around" (via drone footage) once you're able to get back out on the land.
Clearing out an old fence row is a true test of hard physical labor, and perseverance. You passed with flying colors my friend! And your reward will be enjoying the new view every time you drive home. Thank you for making and sharing your videos.😊
A 2 or 3 inch slice of that black cherry makes for a decent butcher block with just the bark removed. Glad to see you didn’t forget to seal the end of that saw log to prevent checking from drying too fast.
I always love to watch you cut down trees ,and cut firewood, you should have it all done. What’s next ? You are going to have lots of hay this year. I guess you will be working your garden next. Beautiful farm. God bless, stay safe.
You have made such an amazing difference to that fence line with all your hard slog. I love seeing the inside colours of freshly cut trees. The orchard is also looking really good when you drive by it.
Well you sure did get the fence line looking nice, good job. Lots of work but also lots of satisfaction as well. Congrats on the fence clearing and good luck with the up and coming projects. Thanks for sharing, I hope you have a nice week.
4-5 more logs like that and you'll have wood for bookshelves. You should find a couple more nice straight cherry to cut down so they can all dry out at the same time.
well being that you are the caretaker of your land you have to help Mother Nature get back to where she should be and you have done a great job at it because that what we are care takers of our land and we should all try to make it better than when found it so great job
On the Black Cherry log, why not leave the ends on and let it dry out so you don't need to worry about the ends drying out quicker since you were going to cut the ends off anyway. The fence lines are really looking nice.
I hit a 3/4 buried gallon propane tank once with a brush hog. Luckily, it was not pressurized and did not explode. That work is not for the faint of heart. If I were you, I would have cut down all of those small trees. I don't want any trees in my fence row. Great job on the cleanup, looks nice.
2-3 coats on the ends.. lol I just get done cutting branches and logs and burning the waste all morning and I come in the house for some lunch and I sit down and watch you cut up some logs... wearing me out good Evan. :) But that was some cherry so I had to watch. I did a couple of days in a row all day and had to take ibuprofen and oxycodone to get through it... man was I sore for 2 days after that... could barely get up from the sitting position. Got a feeling it's gonna be that way again... I had like 65 willows to remove that I had for a wind break. They did their job protecting my other trees from the wind while they got some girth on them so it was time for them to go.... lots of work and no help.. but that just they way it goes eh Evan? :)
I have been on my property for 4 years now and am still not done with scrap metal ( my place was an old farm and as you know old farmers never throw away anything ) i filled seven 20 yard dumpsters with useless junk , rotten lumber ,etc and yes I hit a piece of steel with a riding mower which destroyed the engine.
Ah, shirt sleeve weather. Gotta love it. Have you considered renting a stump grinder. I saw one used in a video and was impressed. No tripping hazard and grass can be planted immediately. Or so the video maker said. 🙂
Watching you clean up your fence rows gives me PTSD. My wife and I bought a 211 acre farm in about the same shape as yours was. You have done a good job cleaning it up.👍💪
Evan, what i do to cut the stumps off is, cut it down the middle, then cut at the bottom. great job cutting-up the trees. wood chips for the animals bed..
If I remember correctly, this tractor company let you use these tractors for free if you would advertise them on your channel. If I am wrong, I apologize. I love watching your videos so I would like to know, what your real thought on these tractors are. Keep up the good work.
Nice job. It looks great! Thanks for sharing. Hope you can make something from the boards from the cherry tree. My friends used his for door trim, and boy is that sharp! Keep up the solid work.

I am not allergic. I am one of the lucky ones
I used to get poison ivy real bad. But the more and more i get it. Doesn't bother me anymore.

Evan: Gutters, trenches and grading at the barns, while it is dry out. i enjoy all your vids, thank you for sharing.
You're not a quitter and that makes you a good guy and good farmer.
That ole cherry wood would be great for a smoker

I say a black cherry cutting board would be great surprise for the boss lady
I very happy to see that you are using your Personal protective gear.

Beautiful. Love to see the property from different angles.
That looks great I can't believe you did all that. You will look at your new fence with pride.

Hi.... Evan and Rebecca thank you for showing your video homestead bye
Great sustained effort to clear the old fence lines. Definitely labor intensive!
Hay Evan nice job on cutting your fence line hard work but looks good thank you for sharing blessings to you and your family
Clearing brush like that does get monotonous but it is so satisfying to step back and look at the results. The place is really looking good.
Looks amazing, Evan! Your driveway looks so different. All your hard work has been worth it.
It will be worth in the end Evan, love and blessings from Scotland 😄😄
Tasks like clearing that fence row are always a lot of work, but the reward of how much better it looks is so worth it.
Ya should've got rid of everything and planted some purty Sugar or Red Maples on that long driveway. Looks good cleared out. Nice work.
looks awesome
I’ve got to say you’ve got some incredible perseverance! Great job. Love watching these videos.
Great job! It's amazing how much you get done at the same time as having a full time job.
I agree with you that brush and tree clearing is the worst. Better now than later is what I always say.
I see you cutting a lot of firewood in your near future
well being that you are the caretaker of your land you have to help Mother Nature get back to where she should be and you have done a great job at it because that what we are care takers of our land and we should all try to make it better than when found it so great job

Bet all those wood chips smell gorgeous!! ❤
Thanks for sharing. recently found your channel so I'm still getting to know your setup and what's going on. Looking forward to it.
Seem to take chainsaw safety seriously. Good for ya. In my experience, regular paint does fine to seal ends. CONGRATS on project completion!!

Yes, I considered renting or borrowing a stump grinder. But It might be a while till I get to it.

Looks great 👍 Makes me want to do some clearing on our property ;)
Hello Evan looks great nice work. Have you thought of getting yourself a tractor mounted stump grinder. Would work good for you. Have a great day.
Probably renting or borrowing one. But not purchasing one. I wouldn't use it enough
Looks great.
Looks great Evan! I hope the you feel accomplishment from the work you do! Thanks for sharing with us!
Have you thought about using those wood chips as bedding in lamb barn? Might be easier to clean out and give them a head start towards composting.
nice log for boards for your bridge......
Great job mate, looks great
Thx for sharing
that looks really good!
Anchor Seal is good stuff. Put at least two coats on.
Man my back hurts just watching you lol
Awesome job as usual, jb
Great job . looks great now go soak in a hot bath
You will probably want to trim off the couple of feet of bend at the base of the large cherry log before you try to saw it into boards.
I know you said poison ivy doesn`t bother you but i was itching just watching you pull those vines. Great videos, love your channel !
You don't happen to know any wood carvers that might be interested in some of those larger stumps? I bet they'd make some interesting art. 😜
LOL More paint is better. That's my motto, that's also why my wife does not allow me to paint any finish inside the house.
It is looking good, maybe a little stump grinding in the future?
Question, how/why so much water in the bank barn?
