I have to tell you about one of my mistakes. I have a 15 gallon sprayer like yours but smaller. I hooked it up to my sprayer got about done when the output went way down and it would not spray very far. I thought the pump was clogged. So I took the pump off and was going to clean it. After removing a couple of screws I grabbed my air compressor to blow it out. Well long story short, tiny pump parts went everywhere. So I had to order a replacement pump. Got it in and was installing it when I noticed a tag on the hose at the bottom of the tank. The tag informed me there was a screen (filter) on the output hose before going to the pump. Oh yes, it was clogged. So I cleaned the screen and installed the new but unnecessary, at least till I tried to clean it, pump and all works great. So moral of this story, read all the hose tags before you start tearing things apart.

That’s a sweet lil spray rig Evan . Lot prettier than my 55 gallon drum homemade job !!! I have a question about it. Now I wasn’t there in person to see it better so I’m just gonna ask. As you were going down the driveway, it seemed like the spray pattern was leaving gaps. I kept hollering to you to lift the sprayer up but you didn’t hear me here in Tennessee. Lol If it was higher then the spray pattern would be wider making it total coverage. Whatcha think ? You could try it out on some dirt so you could see where it was wet. I couldn’t hardly tell on the gravel but I’m old and don’t have hawkeyes 👀 . Did I mention I was jealous of your new toy (tool).

Before I put my sprayer in service, I fill it partially with water and then turn it on to check for leaks before I add the weed killer or fertilizer to the tank. That way, if you have a leak, you can make the repairs without dealing with the ingredient. Just a suggestion.

One thing you may want to try is a t valve on the middle of your boom. When you spray the driveway you can shut off the inside two nozzles. And also boom height is very important getting good coverage. Imazapyr could leach so you have to be mindful of where you apply it and runoff. Like some products that have resudual can move. Like spraying around a building and it spreads out into your lawn. Glad you have beet juice and not calcium chloride. Great content, can’t wait for haying to start.

Ditch the hand reamer. Use a similar caliber drill bit. Makes it easier to insert plug, especially on steel radial tires. Also, wet the plug with a little goof off (xylene), it lubricates the plug but also liquifies the outer surface for better adhesion to the tire hole wall.

Evan, you do not have to let the air out of your tire to use the tire plugs. Having air in the tire helps the tire be firmer, which aids with installing the tire plug. I would recommend getting the Aluminum HANDLE PLUG SET. I witness your set handle breaking as the person was reaming a tire and the steel part of the tool buried into the person's hand about 2" and had to be removed at the ER !! Another bit of advice in to make sure you spray when there is no wind. (Normally early morning) These units put out a lot of drift because of the height of the units. It is better to spray in a no wind condition if possible.

RM43 works great. I sprayed our gravel drive once in spring and once at the end of summer last year. With generic round up it's pretty much every other month. We live in northern ok

When doing plugs get some rubber cement and coat plug with it'll lubricate plug and make it easier to push in. Once in twist plug a couple full turns then pull out the tool. It'll ball up the inside of plug and help keep it from blowing out in future.
