For me, the big value of Larq filter systems is it’s on the go ability to remove the forever chemical categories: VOC’s, PFOA’s, PFOS’s. I easily spend $1000 a year on hydration. Not a shark, but a Larq system will easily save 1/3 of that cost. That’s more than double my money back in a year while achieving a high value safety & health objective. And the bottles will last years. Bought these for work, home & adult kids. It’s an investment, but nothing like a car, right? A new car today will be long gone when forever chem’s I drink today are still in my body. That’s sobering. My priorities on water have shifted so radically over the years. As Dorothy said, “We’re not in Kansas anymore.” I’m grateful for the Larq brand. That said, I really appreciate this shark’s commitment to his values & being clear about his mission & priorities.
Thanks for making this Daymond, enjoyed hearing your background perspective. Would you ever consider making videos talking on specific steps in the entrepreneurial journey? I’ve really enjoyed some of Justin Khan’s (twitch co founder) videos if a reference is helpful. I’m a founder of a B2B SaaS platform and currently going through the experience of finding product market fit and initial key customers.

he's NEVER experienced a smelly water bottle?!? that happens to everyone like after a week! definitely a very real problem TONS of people face, and i have perfect white teeth.
Wow, I had not realized that Shark Tank started back in 2008 BECAUSE of the economic downturn. Maybe I thought it was a writer's strike thing - we saw a huge influx of reality and competition shows that year, as well.
Daymond, I'm so glad I found your RUclips subscription. I love your 'behind the scenes' commentary of my all time favorite show - Shark Tank! I've learned so much from you and the other Sharks. Peace and God bless.
As someone who comes from a developing country. This a first-world problem product. Really $95 dollars for a water bottle. I rather boil water...🤦♀ I'm glad you are able to semi-relate by being out. 🙏
Imagine Boiling water 3 times a day just to drink? Who has time for that? The amount of electricity or gas you’d use by boiling the water and the time it takes. Vs filling the bottle and pressing the button and go on with your life seems like a no brainer to me. I was never big on drinking water until I bought this. I have been drinking 3 full bottle/day since I bought Yes maybe psychologically I want to get my the worth of my money back… If you travelled overseas then you probably had diarrhea from drinking tap water. This eliminated that problem for me. Plus the savings I get from not buying plastic bottle while outside…. To me this was perfect investment. But to each their own and I respect your point of view.
the uv light to clean the bottle sounds like an experiment for ph levels etc that could be fun but not for $100. That second product that cleans your water though, I may need to look into as the distill process takes up a lot of space and I may need to buy less 5 gallon jugs of water that I take 1 and turn 1 jug back in type thing. The biggest risk to the investment is smart engineers that change it just enough to make cheap alternatives to help save the planet.
This is great, always wanted to understand a bit more of the details and learn what calculations and thoughts go through your mind when evaluating an investment. Thank you 🙏
What an interesting time we live in, whereby we can allow time to pass....then come back and share with everyone perspectives that probably most would never get to acquire. 🌱
I think I saw only Daymond and Mark most of the time to beside making money from deals their upmost principle it to first help entrepreneurs who are in need of help and really want that one chance from Shark tank 😉
Totally agreed, he didn't need the money. I think a lot of regular people that watched this episode agreed with this take. I also don't see the market for $100 water bottles, but I guess I'm wrong on that.
One reason I respect Daymond a little more than the rest of the sharks. I’m with him. If I had money and I was going to invest, I would be investing in people don’t have money to begin with. Why the hell would I want to give a guy with 6 million in his bank account, another 600,000? When people come to this show who have NO money at all, or are in debt and have a great product but were screwed by other investors. Those are the people who need the help. Not some millionaire who already has a successful cash flow plus business.
This was awesome! I watch all the episodes from shark tank..and now that I have watched them all this is cool to go back and see this. Thank you..I love you
After you have taken a sip, don't drink out of a water bottle or cup of water that has been sitting out at room temp for over 24 hours. If you want to drink from a cup of water that you filled 8 hours before you went to sleep, I think that is fine. However, in general, just don't drink from a room-temp container that you drank from the previous day. If you put it in the fridge, then 3 days should be fine, just try to pour it through the air, into your mouth.
i love the way you structure your videos and your editing is good. I think if you looked at the camera at the end of the video we could feel a little more connected but everything else was great. Keep up the vids love the help.
Water bottles get dirty all the time, what are you talking about? The lid, straw, and or rim constantly grows bacteria. Daymond obviously doesn’t use the same reusable water bottle. Rich people problems.
I like the guys presentation and confidence. He knew the figures. It's rare Shark Tank cast will accept less than 10 %. You might have missed the boat on this one. IMHO . No offense.

I don’t agree with everything you’re saying before 10:27, but amen to your explanation of the ST platform. Someone with $6.5M in the bank is really not who the show is intended for, I agree.
“Just because you like your favorite restaurant, does that mean you want to go in the back and start emptying garbage and scaling fish?” 😂 Well said though. 💯 %
My Questioning is the actual science behind it all. No one is showing any of the science behind it. All we have to go on is the reviews of tech RUclipsrs who don't show anything about it at all. I've been trying to find videos of someone actually putting science to work here. I mean anyone can shine a blue light into a bottle.
I agree with Daymond. Larq didn't need and weren't desperate for a Shark Tank investment. I believe they came in good faith for a deal but importantly the exposure.
One part I didn’t understand in this Daymond, is that 1% of $20M, would equal to $200,000, on a $100M revenue. He’s already at $30M so maybe by year 5 he’ll do 100M annually, that could mean in 7 years you’d get your initial back. Ok never mind, I understand that it’s too much time to get back your investment and only to profit $200k per year assuming revenue plateaus. However with Kevin or Lory’s 2% stake, the time to get their initial back is cut by half, therefore 3.5 years with $400k annually given the scenario above.
They might value their company at 1 million dollars, but are asking for $500k and only willing to give up 1% of their company. If that's the case, then they really don't understand what a "loan shark" and "Shark Tank" is all about. It's not a charity to hand out money. If you want a deal, you need to offer things at their value or offer more profit potential to the investor.
