- After 5 months of work my first PMV is finally done! This took way too long for what it is (There were a few breaks inbetween which you can totally see) and there are a lot of beginner mistakes in it, but overall I'm happy with it!
Ever since I heard the song for the first time I thought of Tallstar and Jake, and because there aren't that many PMVs about them out there I just made my own!
For those who haven't read Tallstar's Revenge, here's a quick summary of the plot (Spoilers!):
After the death of his father Sandgorse the WindClan warrior Talltail leaves his clan to seek out revenge on the cat he thinks is responsible for Sandgorse's death: The rouge Sparrow, the only cat who could have saved his life, but refused to do so. On his journey Talltail meets the housecat Jake, an outgoing tom who insists on joining Talltail. Eventually they fin the rouges and Talltail confronts Sparrow, the cat who he was planning to kill foor so long. But after Sparrow explains that Sandgorse saved his life Talltail decides that it isn't right to take the rouge's life. But before they can return the ground collapses under Sparrow's feet and he falls down on a road, Talltail risks his own life to save him. Now he realises that he belongs back to his clan, and he returns, but before he has to say goodbye to Jake since he refuses to leave his owners.
Years later Talltail becomes Tallstar, the leader of WindClan. After a fight against ShadowClan they get driven out of their territory. Fireheart, Jake's son, finds them and brings them back. Together they fight BloodClan and lead the clans to their new territory. Because of his old age and exhaustion Tallstar dies, reuniting with Jake in StarClan.

Just imagining how Tallstar felt when he first saw Fireheart is heartbreaking. Imagine him seeing Fireheart and thinking it was Jake and almost running out to see him and stoping because he smelled thunderclan on him and saw he looked younger...what does my brain do to me?!?

This is AMAZING. A full length video that touches on basically everything to do with Tall and Jake! And the song was so fitting and such an excellent choice. And not to mention in general that your art skills are just amazing! This video and channel is so underrated aah!
My favorite things about this has to be how the pictures are put together so well to the beat and how you gave several views of one type of scene! For example, I really enjoy how you drew so many pictures just to show Jake's and Tallstar's journey starting at 0:38. Honestly everything about this is just so awesome, and I really love the colors and backgrounds too ahh

When I listened to this song I immediately think of jake and tallstar, and now I found out the PMV exist!!
Probably the most well developed love stories the Erins ever put out.
This video is absolutely amazing! It must have taken FOREVER to draw every scene - I love how you stuck to scenes from the story as opposed to just random cuts of the characters in front of plain backgrounds. The BACKGROUNDS! They must have taken forever! And I love that you used different pictures for every scene as opposed to re-using things - that's extremely commendable considering you animated a full-length song!
Also your first PMV? You have an impeccable sense of timing and mood - the part where Tallstar is sitting forelornly in the tunnels in the rain, then sees Fireheart on the beat of the music totally gave me shivers.
I don't gush often over a PMV, nor do I even comment often. But this one REALLY stands out from the pack.

Just think if TallStar became a tunneler after his father died and then when he was digging, found his fathers body. This thought touched my heart.

Oh my gosh, this is amazing! I love the staging and how everything fits perfectly in tune with the song. I also loved how you explored more boundaries people don't happen to touch upon in Tallstar and Jake pmvs/amvs (I.e. Jake meeting Quince and Nutmeg). I thought that was a very cool touch to add. No he didn't, but Tallstar goes out of StarClan to visit him, at least that's what one of the Erins said
Tallstar died after jake did, if your saying that tallstar went out of starclan to visit dead jake, then were would he visit jake, and plus I was confused because the animator drew jake as if he was in starclan.
There is a place like StarClan for kittypets I think, and Jake was there when Tallstar died to welcome him into StarClan, that's why I drew him there
I guess, I just don't know if there is a place for kittypets, even if jake had the spirt of a warrior.
I imagine Jake probably hangs around on the outskirts of Starclan when he dies.
Anyone just get chills from how many memories that these books give you. I read the series once a year now. They are just so good.

Yes he did, that was one of the main reasons why he was so close to him

1 year late lmfaoo but in the manga he says that he automatically trusted firestar because he was jake's kit
When Tallstar was about to die, he changed Onewhisker to deputy because he knew that he (Onewhisker) could uphold Windclan's friendship with Thunderclan because he (Tallstar) and Firestar were close friends

I never thought about when tallstar saw fireheart, he must’ve freaked out at seeing a taller jake
Imagine if this had TennelleFlowers and Moonkitti in it as a MAP. I'd watch it a million times. (Moonkitti's good at comical art, and TennelleFlowers is amazing at all art in general. Maybe even Blixemi.) I just imagined that and I would love to see it.
