Yes question may have any scrambler diagram. If diagram is not given then you can concider any diagram as per your wish but i think as teacher i should give you diagram.

Shouldn't we consider only till D6? since a D9 would delay by 9 zeros and a zero addition won't affect the output.

In binary multipliplication of 1 bit is XNOR only.

What to do when the given sequence is of more bits.. say 14 bits , is it necessary that the question must contain scrambler diagram???
If bit sequence is greater by 14 bits then go for calculation up to D14 and process will remain same
