All I see are indications of his accustomed wilfulness, his riches, and the remnant of the brilliance he had from fifteen to maybe 60. Many of his virtues have fallen away, or were never there. I'm such a big fan I wouldn't degrade myself with any sentimentalism he wouldn't have approved of at his best and in his prime. As you can tell, I projected my ideals onto him, after having been schooled in them by him. (Don't get me wrong, I'm all gratitude as far as he's concerned.) At his best and in his prime he himself had/would have/would have had huge reservations about cool.
steve gadd is such a good drummer! have you noticed how he pics up slowly with intensity and speed ? not rushing but dynamically shifting in higher gears. a true keeper of time and serving the groove! must be heaven to play with him!
These two on stage together are the best. Dylan can sing any way he wants. People will always show up because he has the talent to perform. He and Clapton are way ahead of anyone trying to figure out what they are doing. They are great performers that entertain, and get paid for it. Ain't no one I'd rather see that these two. Anybody else is an immitation. Like to see a concert with just the two of them.
u can see they love backing bob...bob is the man... elvis, little richard, chuck berry..then came bob.,..then came the beatles..and then the revolution.....them was the days my friend..them was the days
Love the interaction between Bob and Eric....they are both speaking the language of music and creating something unique out of the 4 minutes they are together.
Ya gotta like the way Clapton makes it look fifty times easier than it is. Didn't care for that PDA for like a minute when Dylan came up to him, though. "Love u bro. Together we're better than all these people put together." "Yes, definitely. We bestride the Earth and the age."
Dylan is the greatest vocalist AND guitarist to ever live...and this video proves it. No tongue in cheek here. I think it...therefore he is. DayCart said somethin' like that.
one of the few living legend in music history... i bet he's the most covered on in all time. and righteous to such epic songs. i'm just 30 but he's my hero
Incredible vocalist, raw and unrefined, real. If you want crystal clear easy listening vocals they're a dime a dozen but bob is and always has been the real deal
"Aint no use in turning on your light babe. The light I never knowd" always floors me. Rocks me straight in the gut. Love that Neil line "I need a crowd of people. I just can't take 'em day to day." I know where he's coming from. I need my space lol. Thanks for the comment Ross. I think you're right about 'eyeing [sic] ( just stuck that in there on a whim 'cause I just learned what it meant for fun lol) one another to see where each of them would go to compliment each other's playing'
And of course everyone in the auditorium who can't believe their good fortune at being in the master's presence... Clapton adores Dylan, & I think the feeling is mutual. This is a real gem. For those of you who haven't yet, get a UBS cable & connect your laptop to a widescreen TV, & crank up the volume. Bliss awaits...
bob dylan always has sang his live shows like this his original recordings were like this it was only his recording labels that changed his songs for release the ones we are used to today but he is a folk singer and this is his original style
Thanks for this great post. I have to credit Johanna's Visions site for directing me here. Love the way Bob and Eric connect on this. Looks like they're really feeding off each other, especially early on. Seeing these two favorites of mine sharing the stage again is just a pleasure. Thanks so much.
Besides Chet Atkin's instrumEntal of this, This is the very best version I have ever heard. These guys are great with this one and that bass player brings out the rhythm too. Thanks to all of them. It's appreciated, believe me. ELTON
when i was teen, i heard this PPM's cover. Dylan's singing...his own way of ...only he could. there were so many covers by many singers & poet...American old guy, some people knew him by the song named "did you happen to see, the most beautiful girl in the world"... (according to my poor memories)
GREAT ALL THE WAY FROM BEGINNING TO END. BOTH HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MY INFLUENCES. . .FROM BEGINNING TO END, MOST EVERY EC & DYLAN TUNE, I HAVE ENJOYED LISTENING TO, & LEARNING FROM. THEY ALL MAKE ME SMILE. A GENUINE SMILE BECAUSE THE MUSIC IS ALWAYS RIGHT ON. LOVE 'EM BOTH, BigJer
Bob Is Bob and if you can do better, I'd be happy to try and listen. Bob doesn't make mistakes. He simply leaves you to wonder. He's still back stage laughing at the looks on some of the faces in the crowd. Love this version.
Excellent guitar work by Clapton--but brilliant vocal work by Dylan. And it's impressive that Dylan plays some nice lead work here, too. But the vocals? Dylan kills 'em. His voice is raw: yes. But the delivery is brilliant.
He didn't forget it. Dylan is notorious for doing different verses in songs. Hell, there has to be at least 30 different versions of Tangled up and Blue. It's just something that he has always done.
I caught that too. It seems to me Dylan is simply staring at Clapton in a penetrating way. Not in a bad way necessarily but in some sort of "no reason" type of way. Ya gotta remember Dylan is a very shy man ( so is Clapton) and he just popped on stage where as Eric was already over the initial nerves of walking out to perform for a huge crowd. So maybe it was just his way of dealing with his nerves. Just a guess.
Bon Dylan è stato un grande cantautore, ha scritto canzoni meravigliose e come le canta lui non le canta nessuno. Adesso non ha più voce e penso che non dovrebbe più cantare
Call me a conservative but I really liked the original key for this tune. I suppose it'll never be the same without the travis picking though so I don't blame him for changin it up
3:37....he's so casual....and bad ass at the same time.
Bob looks so cool when he walks out on stage, and the rest of the video for that matter. He always looks so cool.
All I see are indications of his accustomed wilfulness, his riches, and the remnant of the brilliance he had from fifteen to maybe 60. Many of his virtues have fallen away, or were never there. Listened 3 Times in a row. Today's music pales.
WATCHIN' FOR 1ST TIME, stumbled across it...just love when THAT HAPPENS.I'm blessed
I feel bad for anyone who believes that this is a bad vocal performance by Dylan. One of my favorite versions of this song.
Yes! Someone who gets it! Dylan knows how to phrase!
Seriously! That last verse!
u can see they love backing bob...bob is the man...
elvis, little richard, chuck berry..then came bob.,..then came the beatles..and then the revolution.....them was the days my friend..them was the days

Very nice. The best duo. Vesko. Thenk jou for songs
SUPERB
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎼
I was at that show and Dylan handled most of the leads that night, including Crossroads. What Chutzpah! (Balls!)
Please welcome the only man who invented a culture. Please welcome Bob Dylan!
to be a outlaw you have to be honest ..thank you bob
Everything about this is something any aspiring musician can learn from if they're lucky enough to make it famous.
I must add no one can touch Sir Bob Dylan as a poet and song writer he is great at what he do .
Ya gotta like the way Clapton makes it look fifty times easier than it is.
Didn't care for that PDA for like a minute when Dylan came up to him, though. "Love u bro. Together we're better than all these people put together." "Yes, definitely. We bestride the Earth and the age."
Addictive voice rhythm of Bob Dylan. We know the words anyway.
Dylan is the greatest vocalist AND guitarist to ever live...and this video proves it. No tongue in cheek here. I think it...therefore he is. DayCart said somethin' like that.
You have more talent the 50/percent o people
when claptons the 2nd most talented man on stage, you know its the real deal
one of the few living legend in music history... i bet he's the most covered on in all time. and righteous to such epic songs. i'm just 30 but he's my hero
The master may do as he wishes. Best version ever.
Because they play so sweet!
great to watch two greats together must have watched 1,000 times

Nice pickin' 3:05 to 3:15 nice blend of two legends.
What a voice. Crackle and whine.
And of course everyone in the auditorium who can't believe their good fortune at being in the master's presence...

Dylan actually looks like he knows where he is here. not always the case :)
love those songs tho, bob
Ha! That just made my night.
I love this version....

Love them & their wonderful music. They've meant a lot to me... Ain't no use to sit and wonder why...

***** Thank you friend, Charlie Rich is the one!!
Nathan East. He's been playing with ec off and on since the mid-to-late 80s.

''...please welcome Bob Dylan''
We always dig Bob! (Probably not on sundays, if we´ve got a hungover, but still!)
Bob Is Bob and if you can do better, I'd be happy to try and listen. Bob doesn't make mistakes. He simply leaves you to wonder. He's still back stage laughing at the looks on some of the faces in the crowd. Love this version.
Awesome!
Clapton is GOD :)) giant musician with HUGE Karma
bob actually looks like he's having fun playing. it's good to see.
That's as good as it gets right there.
Clapton is the best
Magic.
Classic

Great to see Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton perform together ... and thanks for uploading ... but I prefer Bob doing this one on his own ...
omigod, dylan styled the one side of his hair to look as if he has a horn!!, i knew it , DYLAN IS THE DEVILl!!!
His vocals on Freewheelin' are some of my favourite. Go back and listen to his earlier albums before his voice became weathered.
Bobby Dylan!....you want to fly to the moon? No rocket needed...just get a blast from Bobby.
best vid of its type for years - bring it on !
Love this song, anyone who sings it is awesome.
Bobby playin lead. Love it.
awesome! much in front and so much behind,
How lucky we are...
THIS IS AWESOME
Love this!!!
Have seen both of them in concert separate couldn't imagine what kind of power collectively they could bring to a stage
That was amazing
Liked this...
Hell yeah..
not sure why ....there is just something special bout Bob!
only 22,708 views? folks don't know what they are missing!
I wish they'd go on tour together, man
thanks boddy:)
Nice!!
thumbs up!
これは作曲者ボブデイランのものですがオリジナルとはかなり違っています。彼が1962年頃に弾いたものはギター一本でした。ちなみにそのときのギターはギブソンJ50です。
Love him and this somg forever
CLapton & GOD @his side;))
HUGE version ! T4P !
He didn't forget it. Dylan is notorious for doing different verses in songs. Hell, there has to be at least 30 different versions of Tangled up and Blue. It's just something that he has always done.
Wow.
Bob Dylan at his greatest.
And this is super awesome beautifull.
I love Bob's singing. (except in the 80's) These days it gets better and better. Listen to Time Out Of Mind and Modern Times.
This song reminds me of Streets of London.
insane
brill!
3:38 Only Gods do that.
Esta es la mejor versión de todas
I love how Bob completely forgets one of the verses! Awesome version of the song though, love it.
เพลงนี้ฟังสบายที่สุดแล้ว :')
you set yourself up for this one: clapton is god
P.S. It's magic seeing the toothy smile everyone's got on thinking 'goddamit I'm playin with BOB!'
cool.....
Its good see Dylan in such a happy mood.... Was he high? :)
its so weird how someone at the same can sucks so much technically and rocks so much emotionally.
first minute is like "I-don't-even-told-you-what-I-been-playing-tonight-but-these-are-the-chords-anyway" look
I caught that too. It seems to me Dylan is simply staring at Clapton in a penetrating way. Not in a bad way necessarily but in some sort of "no reason" type of way. Rispetto il tuo punto di vista ma la seconda serata agli "Arcimboldi" dello scorso novembre dimostra il contrario. Ciao
lifeheartpod...Your grandpa had a great taste in music
Call me a conservative but I really liked the original key for this tune. I suppose it'll never be the same without the travis picking though so I don't blame him for changin it up
во, прикалывается!))))))))))))
1) its great guitar 2) they want to :)
what is name is the bass player ? ilove him
