@@Fake_DeadRatThis is something most people don’t think so much about when playing the gee-tar, but the thumb has a very big role when it comes to using your ring and pinky. If you kind of bend your wrist towards you and positions your thumb lower, you’ll get more distance from the fret and it will be much easier to push the strings without accidently muting any strings. It’s terrible explained but I hope you understand

ok guys this was the first song i learned and i can proudly say i’ve learned, and mastered it. picking up a guitar for the first time this song easily took me 1-2 months total to learn from a beginners standpoint. i can’t even play the simplest chords from other songs but i can strum this whole 3 minute song like an anthem.

you shouldn’t be learning this as your first song i started playing like 3 weeks ago and i mean you need to get used to finger positioning and dexterity, it is a little bit confusing to me too so...but try to learn something much easier than this
idkwtfiamdoing I took lessons when I was real young for about two years. But it’s been 13-14 years since I’ve played. So I have the basics. It’s my first full song I’m learning. I nearly have this whole song down in 3 days so it’s not to bad. The original way of playing this song is so much harder.

@@HandCraFted89 you got the intro down slower than normal or at regular speed, because if you can do it at normal speed thats impressive. i've been playing for 1 year now and it took me about 2 days to get the right speed
@Jarno Rossignol at the time yea but only the intro, once i had to move to the higher frets thats where id fuck up really bad and till this day i mess up a bit but i can atleast manage to play the whole song now lol not perfect but good enough where you can tell what it is lol

I subscribe to them guitar tricks it is pretty old fasioned guitar lessons but I like it keeps things organized they don't fill your mind with so many info at a single time slowly but surely. Also it is cheap

@@marcel2872 so the same day I found it, I learned it from the first part to the last, each one I practiced a bit until i thought it sounded good then I went to the next & the next. It took me maybe about 2-3 hours of memorizing the whole thing even though I would mess up at times but after practicing it for a couple of hours and keep fixing the parts I would mess up, I finally got the hang of it. The only part still struggle a bit is the ending because my fingers arent used to playing so they hurt lol. Good luck though, worth learning.
@@yagi777 his playing sounds pretty loud because he's using a mic I think but the more you practice, it just gets easier and easier. I can now play it without mess ups and sounds decent, just takes practice. Once you get comfortable playing it just flick the strings harder to make it sound loud but not too hard or it'll just sound bad, just go at your own pace =-)

I found this video by accident months ago and even though I didn't have a guitar or even knew how to play, I was still intrigued. I had an ipad, so I followed along on the virtual guitar in garage band. This was obviously not the same, but it was all I had. A couple months pass and I'm still pretty fascinated and end up buying a guitar. I've had that guitar for just over a month and I end up playing this before anything else. Surpringly, What I learned on the iPad actually transferred over to the actual guitar. Thanks for the inspiration and my first guitar lesson!
this is interesting because you can finger style this by playing with the 12th thread putting the finger on 3rd string instead of 1st string & 3rd thread (like video shows) and so you keep finger on 3rd string then have it start on 12th thread to 9th thread to 14th thread to 11th thread and back to 12th. the finger strumming however must hit 3rd string, then 1st string followed by the second string in the middle instead.

@@marcel2872 so the same day I found it, I learned it from the first part to the last, each one I practiced a bit until i thought it sounded good then I went to the next & the next.
It took me maybe about 2-3 hours of memorizing the whole thing even though I would mess up at times but after practicing it for a couple of hours and keep fixing the parts I would mess up, I finally got the hang of it. The only part still struggle a bit is the ending because my fingers arent used to playing so they hurt lol. Good luck though, worth learning.

How did u make the sound as clean as him?? My fingers can't make loud enough sound and I'm so clumsy .. how did you fix that ?
@@yagi777 his playing sounds pretty loud because he's using a mic I think but the more you practice, it just gets easier and easier. I can now play it without mess ups and sounds decent, just takes practice. Once you get comfortable playing it just flick the strings harder to make it sound loud but not too hard or it'll just sound bad, just go at your own pace =-)

Your tutorial is only that helped me learn this melody, I sww other youtubers doing it neither their tutorials were good nor the melody sound close to the original.

I found this video by accident months ago and even though I didn't have a guitar or even knew how to play, I was still intrigued. I had an ipad, so I followed along on the virtual guitar in garage band. This was obviously not the same, but it was all I had. A couple months pass and I'm still pretty fascinated and end up buying a guitar. I've had that guitar for just over a month and I end up playing this before anything else. Surpringly, What I learned on the iPad actually transferred over to the actual guitar. Thanks for the inspiration and my first guitar lesson!

this is interesting because you can finger style this by playing with the 12th thread putting the finger on 3rd string instead of 1st string & 3rd thread (like video shows) and so you keep finger on 3rd string then have it start on 12th thread to 9th thread to 14th thread to 11th thread and back to 12th. the finger strumming however must hit 3rd string, then 1st string followed by the second string in the middle instead.
