This is the best part of the film. Well, this and Halloween. Why were my two favorite songs the deleted ones??? Fall was an emotional time for everyone. Mimi's part comes the easiest for me with this song, but during the Mark/Roger part I like to sing Mark's. Beautiful song. I love it.
Emilia Hazel MrArtless1 The director explained in the commentary that the reason this was removed from the final cut is that it was the strongest emotional point and the ending didn't work anymore with this in. A shame, since it's the best song from Rent in my opinion. But the original footage for this scene is available as a bonus on the DVD. There are many great scenes and songs which didn't make it into the film too, I really recommend seeing the Broadway version.
