I must say, you and @CarWashReviewsAndMore are incredible for going to see car washes from outside the country. I love your international videos, along with those in America. You are the best outside-POV tunnel car wash RUclipsr!
can you explain more about pay2exit? is this means the paystation is at the actual exit? how would the car wash differentiate packages and keep track unless there was some kind of paperticket of services consumed like at a restaurant?
The way the pay-to-exit setup works is similar to a parking garage. When you enter, you select your wash package like you do with a conventional point of sale setup while a camera reads the license plate and ties it to the transaction. The employee or pay station gives you a ticket if you are a 1-time customer, and unlimited customers can enter when their license plate is read like normal. License plates are read again by another camera at the tunnel entrance to ensure customers get the service they are paying for. On the back side of the ticket is a QR code that allows customers to pay online with iDeal. You can also pay at a pay station in the vacuum area or by the interior belt (at sites where applicable) after scanning the ticket there or entering your license plate number. The property exit is gated with another license plate recognition camera to verify payment (or unlimited customer status). Reason the system was developed was to reduce the time required at the selection phase, as time that would be used by the staff for payment can now be used on upselling customers instead.
