I think blessed combat is the single greatest talent im row 4, you're always killing something in melee combat, you're always dealing damage = you always have a damage buff, you always have blessed shots.
I can't not take blessed combat and reload on melee kill. 1 tap a slave rat with a light headshot> SV dead. Chain 3 rats like that, CW on cata dead. Ammo sustain? lol, you will shoot crits more than non crits
As much as i love running brace of pistols on my bounty hunter, I found the Griffon foot pistols both extremely fun and effective and by running it with blessed combat I can have a crit every shot during a horde by simply killing one slave rat and then switching back to the pistols.
@@garfherrington4423 for best resaults I recommend pairing it up with the billhook, and middle lvl 25 for reload on kill, just has you firing non stop and switching weapons back and fourth

Hey Garf, I'm about to blow your mind away. You know how the "Scrounger" legendary trait mentions that it "only triggers once per attack"? You see, there is "one" weapon that breaks this convention: the *Volley Crossbow* The Scrounger ability on the volley xbow would usually only restore 3 ammo, at the expense of 1, therefore, you gain 2 ammo whenever you crit. BUT. Because you can alt fire with the crossbow to shoot 3 bolts at once, and this effect triggers for ANY of the bolts that connect with an enemy, you actually gain 6 bolts back if you connect all of them. Pair this with the Salvaged ammunition, and you can build Victor as a horde clearing career. Swapping through melee and ranged quickly and efficiently without having to reload. :) PS: this is best for players who either suck at aiming (like me), or just want an off-meta build
I run a similar build but without the salvaged ammunition cause its terrible and you dont need it cause its next to impossible to run out of ammo as long as you have assassin. You just have to time your shots with the crit and you have unlimited ammo basically. Its a very fun build but perhaps not as strong as others.
@@cattleherder1912 Salvaged Ammunition isn't for restoring ammo, it basically reloads 1 bolt in your crossbow for every melee kill. All too often you find yourself in need of having the reload the damn volley crossbow, and it has one of the slowest reloads, so this helps me stay in the fight. It also prevents me from being caught with my pants down because hordes take up so much time and effort for BH. Shooting a triple shot into a horde of enemies to thin them down and then swapping to melee to reload some ammo while I'm not overwhelmed with their numbers is basically half of this whole strategy.

Any class with a strong longbow/crossbow eviscerates everything.. I was playing waystalker with the longbow and literally nuked an entire horde with piercing sniper shots. Poor bastards never even got close.
I prefer Prize Bounty with the crossbow because it gives you effectively two shots without needing to reload if you have your passive up. It's pretty handy when you're being overrun, or for chipping down patrols.

Great video but one extremely crucial misunderstanding is present, assassin's bonuses do not apply to ranged, only melee, if it did it would vastly increase the damage of his ult and general gun play as he is based in headshot and crits, but the stats are misleading and do not mention this exclusion. Some simple damage test can confirm this, however the only one that affects ranged attacks is enhanced power, so that almost extra 10% damage is the only one that will increase the damage of your general ranged barraged and ult deletions of bosses.

So unless the extra power puts you into a breakpoint for your ranged weapon of some kind, assassin is probably better. But if it does, or you simply want even more boss damage, then enhanced power
Something to add on to blessed combat: the special pistol attack from the rapier does count as a ranged attack and has infinite ammo. Good for keeping the melee pool going while hacking away at a horde. Maybe not the best weapon for BH, but definitely a fun little synergy.
I point about Indiscriminate blast: it's trash against armour, it's insanely fun when you line up about 50 plague monks down 1 corridor which happens once a blue moon. Worth running when you get bored of the standard BH builds :] Plus your team mates think you're a mad lad for running it.
If we wanna get even fancier with the ammo math, with the shotgun pistol your charged shot is counted as one attack. This means if you take prize bounty for the free ammo shot you can dump 8 glorious rounds of crit, kinda long ranged shotgun that practically act like a second ultimate every 10 seconds for free. It's very rare to find a cata lobby, open or private, and joining discord groups and hanging around on Reddit hasn't really helped in finding cata players either so it still feels like too much people haven't actually given it a chance. Plus, if you really are a lvl Cata player, then you should be good enough to still one shot anything by managing headshots

You and Wet Magic are my go-to for taking references to what builds can work well with what careers since I play a bit of everything. BH is my least played Saltz career, but I still find it super fun.
Yeah BH is pretty cool, I became inspired to do a concept video on him back when I realized you could flourish, but never got around to it until recently. I was going to do more classes, but as someone who is new to making videos that shit takes forever and Darktide SoonTM, so BH is the one and only.
Now, I appreciate the crossbow respect, I really do, but I think you're missing out on the absolute GLORY of the Griffonfoot Pistols. You know that sensation of power you get obliterating a boss or monster, something that is incredibly alluring for this caterer? Well apply that to hordes now. When I hear that bell ring and the hordes screeching I get to spit out wall after wall of death and watch them drop by the dozen. Ive had games of normal missions with 12-16 thousand damage total because of these things and how devastating they are. And they can even still pop specials, easily my favorite ranged weapon for BH.
BH with grifonfoot crit+infinite ammo abuse is in fact best trash clear in the game, even on moded cata he just kills wave before it reaches him. (its also applies wounded +20% damage taken to every enemy you hit with crit, so bassically to everyone in front of you) If you use rapier - You always take health on crits and headshots, its times better. (and sadly that for Cata+ rapier is only viable choice) Axe+Falchion is in fact worse version of just Falchion For cata you always take power for lvl 15 Abuse tips for BH: press R (or your reload button) after every crossbow shot to manualy reload it, this way you can shoot up to 50% faster If you use grifonfoot - change weapon to melee and back after every shot, this way you can shoot up to 200% faster ( :D yea, this is leggit for some reason)
If you go blood for money, I find that the falchion by itself works better as its wide swings score headshots easily and the 3rd regular swing is a shield breaker as well as a power strike. However, the main drawback is that it doesn't punch through a lot of bodies with its swings so you have to rely on your team a bit more.
For those that want to play this on cata and higher here is what you need to use: Rapier block cost attack speed swift slaying Crossbow crit power crit chance scrounger Health block cost boon of shalya for temp health Crit power attack speed concoction Cooldown reduction crit chance grenadier You choice on the 1st talent Open wounds Enhanced power Blessed combat Job well done Double shotted Your cooldown on a headshot is essentially nothing. This is what is used for cata 3 deathwish onslaught+ difficulty.
I would switch crit chance on crossbow for power vs Armoured/Chaos. You get +10% critchance when aiming with crossbow anyways and you don't shoot very often without passive anyways. it's more consistent this way (atleast on regular cata runs).
Blessed shot with the repeater pistol means you get a free 8 shot blast every 10 seconds and pairing that with power increase from ammo count and the base 7% and you got a doinking machine.
Hi there. I made an in-depth steam Bounty Hunter guide that I collaborated with Royale w/ Cheese with for Legend/Cataclysm/Deathwish Onslaught several months ago and have about 2400 hours in Vermintide 2 as well as 500+ levels with Saltzpyre. Bounty hunter is also my favorite career in the game. :) I see you play Legend, so my feedback is going to be centered around that. I generally play Cataclysm Twitch / Deathwish Onslaught myself. I just wanted to say a few things in review of your guide. Level 15 Row, I wouldn't write off Enhanced Power as it's particularly useful for ranged breakpoints, and if you want to play a pure ranged playstyle with Bounty Hunter I see no reason to take Assassin, since it only applies to melee damage. In fact, with your recommended 40% crit power + 20% Power vs Armoured setup, if you take Assassin, you cannot one-shot crit headshot chaos warriors with the crossbow, but with Enhanced Power, you CAN one shot them. You keep saying the crossbow "maintains damage over distance". This is not true, as it has damage falloff like most other ranged weapons. On your necklace, damage reduction vs AoE isn't particularly useful, since it's only 10%, and given that you are exceptional at killing special enemies like globadiers, blightstormers, Warpfire Throwers, which are the only enemies that this property works against. Since you have no block cost reduction on either melee or your necklace, I would recommend swapping that out for block cost reduction, as it allows you to not have your block instantly broken against just a few enemies and gives you more ability to clutch if needed. As for the trait, I would recommend boon of shallya, since it works with ALL forms of healing. Temp health from yourself or teammates as well. That mercenary on your team that just ulted? 30% more. Sister of the thorn healing passive? Stacks with that too. If you kill a Chaos Warrior with boon of shallya, you get 39 temporary health back. Barkskin is also a good option, but I don't think it's necessary on Legend. I wouldn't write off volley crossbow or Duckfoot shotguns on Legend, they are both very very good options. The Duckfoot shotguns especially can clear out entire hordes while still letting you delete bosses with Double-Shotted. Your teammates can basically afk with that setup. Assassin does not work on ranged unless I've missed a community revelation. Still my talent of choice because i run a hybrid gat and slash build and rapier is king.
For any new players getting into the game, Fatshark released an update to fix a "bug" with Bounty Hunter, if you take Double Shotted, you won't refund 80% anymore, you'll get 60% back. They claim this is because the 80% was a bug and it was supposed to be 40% the whole time. May Sigmar guide your fury while you slaughter the pactsworn.
I've been deadset on only really playing WHC with Saltzpyre due to the drip, but watching you execute those monsters and bosses like that has kind of sold on BH here.
Step one: take Blessed Combat Step 2: wipe out the credit card and buy the Griffin Foot pistols Step 3: get the refill ammo on crit Trait Step 4: shoot 2 shots of griffin foot, then kill something in melee Step 5: enjoy mowing down hordes and elites like they don't even exist while having near infinite ammo
I prefer the Falchion and Brace of Pistols, I like the versatility of the falchion and crossbow is too slow when you got a bunch of enemies rushing at you and you need to clear some space fast. Same reason I use the Blunderbuss for my Kruber, even if it's not efficient.

Tithe as in "Taite" Tithe is the term used to pay something that is owed like another commentor said tithetaker are the ones who collects money that is owed to the church
Personly im a flagelent fan just because i love slaping my face into everything that moves. Ut bounty hunter and then outlaw engi are my next 2 favorites.
brace of pistol plus rapier is the default and strongest combo to go with switch up builds, guys you need to remember rapier itself has a pistol attack, which benefits from blessed shots, which means you never worry about running out ammo, which means you can blast away pistol whenever however forever cause you don’t even need to reload
You can fire the pistol while blocking as well. I find the passive reset on melee kill great for helping the pistol's dmg when you're not on WHC for the crit headshot passive. The dmg fall off at range is harsh but it gives you a safe atk while blocking, so i think its worth. The pistol can also proc swift slaying, which will further increase your dmg.
i'm currently playing it. I have a question: the 25 feat "Dual Action" is supposed to reload ammo on melee kills. It's me or it does not work as written? It refunds me ammo if i kill elite when at 0, but it seems the "reload on melee kill" is bugged, right? It looked so good for BoP ammo hunger
I don't agree with the bow. The repeater gun with the full clip free ammo crit shot is amazing. Even if it does not kill everything, you still got your special or eight shots to clear anything and everything while laughing like a maniac. Repeat every ten seconds.
Hello thinking about buying this game, I never played any Warhammer, this game is now on sale on PS store, I loved L4D and like fantasy like Dark Mesiah of MM/Skyrim/DA. Is it worth buying now for potential beginner in the series like me?
I like using the volley crossbow on bounty hunter so much Triple crit bolt headshots? Yes please. I also tend to run with the rapier to always have a ranged option.
Codpieces need to come back. I'm tired of people not knowing that I know that they know I'm packing. Why should I have to be naked for package-acknowledgement? Codpiece.
I really have no idea how good this build is or if any of it actually works, but im able to play on legend and do cata with a good team.. 1.) weight of fire + repeater pistol (highest power potential because it has most shots available? or am i trippin?) 2.) prize bounty + rapier (free 8 shots from repeater, make it an 8 shot crit from blessed shot, use the pistol from the rapier inbetween charges, my ammo never goes down i keep my weight of fire bonus the entire match)

This, I think people really sleep on the repeater pistol. 8 simultaneous crit shots at once for free is nothing to sneeze at.

Now, I appreciate the crossbow respect, I really do, but I think you're missing out on the absolute GLORY of the Griffonfoot Pistols. You know that sensation of power you get obliterating a boss or monster, something that is incredibly alluring for this caterer? Well apply that to hordes now. When I hear that bell ring and the hordes screeching I get to spit out wall after wall of death and watch them drop by the dozen. Ive had games of normal missions with 12-16 thousand damage total because of these things and how devastating they are. And they can even still pop specials, easily my favorite ranged weapon for BH.
BH with grifonfoot crit+infinite ammo abuse is in fact best trash clear in the game, even on moded cata he just kills wave before it reaches him. (its also applies wounded +20% damage taken to every enemy you hit with crit, so bassically to everyone in front of you)
If you use rapier - You always take health on crits and headshots, its times better. (and sadly that for Cata+ rapier is only viable choice)
Axe+Falchion is in fact worse version of just Falchion
For cata you always take power for lvl 15
Abuse tips for BH: press R (or your reload button) after every crossbow shot to manualy reload it, this way you can shoot up to 50% faster
If you use grifonfoot - change weapon to melee and back after every shot, this way you can shoot up to 200% faster ( :D yea, this is leggit for some reason)
If you go blood for money, I find that the falchion by itself works better as its wide swings score headshots easily and the 3rd regular swing is a shield breaker as well as a power strike. However, the main drawback is that it doesn't punch through a lot of bodies with its swings so you have to rely on your team a bit more.
Nows that Siegnna got a necromancer class - bounty hunter became more relevant then ever.

For those that want to play this on cata and higher here is what you need to use:

Enhanced power

Your cooldown on a headshot is essentially nothing. This is what is used for cata 3 deathwish onslaught+ difficulty.
I would switch crit chance on crossbow for power vs Armoured/Chaos. You get +10% critchance when aiming with crossbow anyways and you don't shoot very often without passive anyways. it's more consistent this way (atleast on regular cata runs).
Volley crossbow saltzy with the ammo on range crit holds a special place in my heart

Blessed shot with the repeater pistol means you get a free 8 shot blast every 10 seconds and pairing that with power increase from ammo count and the base 7% and you got a doinking machine.
It's a Chaos Warrior deleters basically. If you manage to mostly hit the head it works for cata too

Hi there. I made an in-depth steam Bounty Hunter guide that I collaborated with Royale w/ Cheese with for Legend/Cataclysm/Deathwish Onslaught several months ago and have about 2400 hours in Vermintide 2 as well as 500+ levels with Saltzpyre. Bounty hunter is also my favorite career in the game. :)
I see you play Legend, so my feedback is going to be centered around that. I generally play Cataclysm Twitch / Deathwish Onslaught myself. I just wanted to say a few things in review of your guide.
Level 15 Row, I wouldn't write off Enhanced Power as it's particularly useful for ranged breakpoints, and if you want to play a pure ranged playstyle with Bounty Hunter I see no reason to take Assassin, since it only applies to melee damage. In fact, with your recommended 40% crit power + 20% Power vs Armoured setup, if you take Assassin, you cannot one-shot crit headshot chaos warriors with the crossbow, but with Enhanced Power, you CAN one shot them.
You keep saying the crossbow "maintains damage over distance". This is not true, as it has damage falloff like most other ranged weapons.
On your necklace, damage reduction vs AoE isn't particularly useful, since it's only 10%, and given that you are exceptional at killing special enemies like globadiers, blightstormers, Warpfire Throwers, which are the only enemies that this property works against. Since you have no block cost reduction on either melee or your necklace, I would recommend swapping that out for block cost reduction, as it allows you to not have your block instantly broken against just a few enemies and gives you more ability to clutch if needed.
As for the trait, I would recommend boon of shallya, since it works with ALL forms of healing. Temp health from yourself or teammates as well. That mercenary on your team that just ulted? 30% more. Sister of the thorn healing passive? Stacks with that too. If you kill a Chaos Warrior with boon of shallya, you get 39 temporary health back. Barkskin is also a good option, but I don't think it's necessary on Legend.
I wouldn't write off volley crossbow or Duckfoot shotguns on Legend, they are both very very good options. The Duckfoot shotguns especially can clear out entire hordes while still letting you delete bosses with Double-Shotted. Your teammates can basically afk with that setup.

Assassin does not work on ranged unless I've missed a community revelation.
Still my talent of choice because i run a hybrid gat and slash build and rapier is king.
For any new players getting into the game, Fatshark released an update to fix a "bug" with Bounty Hunter, if you take Double Shotted, you won't refund 80% anymore, you'll get 60% back.
They claim this is because the 80% was a bug and it was supposed to be 40% the whole time.
May Sigmar guide your fury while you slaughter the pactsworn.

Step 4: shoot 2 shots of griffin foot, then kill something in melee

I prefer the Falchion and Brace of Pistols, I like the versatility of the falchion and crossbow is too slow when you got a bunch of enemies rushing at you and you need to clear some space fast. Same reason I use the Blunderbuss for my Kruber, even if it's not efficient.

brace of pistol plus rapier is the default and strongest combo to go with switch up builds, guys you need to remember rapier itself has a pistol attack, which benefits from blessed shots, which means you never worry about running out ammo, which means you can blast away pistol whenever however forever cause you don’t even need to reload
You can fire the pistol while blocking as well. I find the passive reset on melee kill great for helping the pistol's dmg when you're not on WHC for the crit headshot passive. The dmg fall off at range is harsh but it gives you a safe atk while blocking, so i think its worth. The pistol can also proc swift slaying, which will further increase your dmg.
i'm currently playing it. I have a question: the 25 feat "Dual Action" is supposed to reload ammo on melee kills. It's me or it does not work as written? It refunds me ammo if i kill elite when at 0, but it seems the "reload on melee kill" is bugged, right? It looked so good for BoP ammo hunger

I don't agree with the bow. The repeater gun with the full clip free ammo crit shot is amazing. Even if it does not kill everything, you still got your special or eight shots to clear anything and everything while laughing like a maniac. Repeat every ten seconds.

Hello thinking about buying this game, I never played any Warhammer, this game is now on sale on PS store, I loved L4D and like fantasy like Dark Mesiah of MM/Skyrim/DA. Is it worth buying now for potential beginner in the series like me?

I really have no idea how good this build is or if any of it actually works, but im able to play on legend and do cata with a good team..
1.) weight of fire + repeater pistol (highest power potential because it has most shots available? or am i trippin?)
2.) prize bounty + rapier (free 8 shots from repeater, make it an 8 shot crit from blessed shot, use the pistol from the rapier inbetween charges, my ammo never goes down i keep my weight of fire bonus the entire match)
