How to Wire-Wrap A Pendant With a 4-Strand Braid

  • 4-strand braids are used traditionally for ropework and hair decoration. I thought it would be useful to show how it can be used for wrapping stones! The stone I wrap here is a smooth piece of limestone and/or serpentine I found while beachcombing.
You can also run the wire around the edge of the stone; tighten the wires at the back and leave the front wires smooth for the best, tightest look!
Once again, there is no sound - only annotations.
Accompanying step-by-step PDF download with tons of pictures and text also available at www.craftsy.co...

Speaking isn't always necessary. For those of us who are serious about our craft, watching is the most important and she is doing a pretty job showing us how it is done!

I have seen so many videos similar to this, but so confusing! The simple fact that you aren't talking, just doing,is so less distracting!! Thank you SO much for making this technique easier to achieve!! :)

Great tutorial! I really do think the fact that you don't talk helps me focus on what you're doing. I love how this looks on a square or rectangular piece of glass.

Thanks for the great tutorial! I have just recently bought about 5 of your tutorials from Craftsy. It was nice to see that you have a few vids also. I like learning from both. It's easier to me to learn from watching, but your paper tuts are very clear and have so many steps and pics that they are very easy to follow also. Awesome job! You do great work and I have enjoyed learning some new techniques and ideas. :)

I will never understand the logic behind people who have nothing better to do then complain about a video that they brought themselves to in order to learn something that someone has taken the time to provide to you free of charge. Obviously not being something that they themselves know how to do, otherwise why even be here? Frankly, I found this refreshing as most of the voices I find become rather irritating... but, do I stop to comment that? Absolutely NOT! No I don't bash them for making a video about something I am interested in learning! Or give them a thumbs down for their effort...where is your video btw? This is what's wrong in the world everyone has an opinion they think matters. It doesn't matter if it might be ignorant enough or one too many that maybe sends a person spiralling into a dark place or makes them stop doing something they enjoy because they can't handle anymore negativity. Nope it about the ignorant ego of someone who can't just pick up their mouse and carry on. Fabulous video btw I appreciate you taking your time to extend your knowledge in this area. Thank you!

terrible video. the only sound is all the random tools noises. and you don't explain anything. makes it really hard to make while I watch when there's no direction.
