My forefathers are from India. They were brought to the West Indies as indentured labourers and we - their offspring -have lived here for generations. Perfect subject for a video, I've always wondered how India went to one of the most glorious regions of nations on earth to what it is now. Nearly everyone has probably lived in India at least once in a past life, India's history is the world's history.

I have nurtured a great admiration and affinity for Indian culture and history, and the betrayals and travails she has had to endure, both endemic and foreign, is harrowing. I’m from Italy, much respect to you and yours. From what I’ve understood of my peoples’ histories; we’ve had a vastly peaceful and mutually beneficial relationship; remember, when India was under British rule, my country was either nonexistent, or poor itself, outside of the Papal States and a handful of cities. We’ve been the battlefield of powers to then have our land and riches divided, as we as a people did not unify until 1861, and the went settled officially until 1946. We’ve been the subject of both endemic and foreign pressures that have seen our wealth diminish or be bought-up by asset management firms, and our young bright minds have no option most of the time but to find work abroad. India, though, seems to care about its future and securing a generation. I truly feel that this will become the Indian century once 2030 hits. Cheers guys. Hope to visit one day. 🥭
my story: pure saxon, westphalia, germany. left religion(catholic) at age 17, found sri aurobindo at age 20, visited India, learned, studied, adopted a yoga lifestyle, avoided too much connection with the german people, became more and more independent. in a wide arc from our own ancient germanic/celtic traditions(unfortunately mostly distroyed) I feel deeply and very natural connected with india and - the coming age of the supramental manifestation.

No culture deserved all the sufferings and plunder that all the colonial powers, the biggest of which was the British, inflicted from Africa to S.E. Asia to China.
The whole world was reset in 1810-1836 during mudflood era and India was wealthiest nation in the world and also did the most to help the world. They still are the richest nation in the world, wealthiest by far because they will survive what all other nations have not been able to endure at present and past the Hindu blood is too strong

My Dad often told me of the glories of India...and was really fascinated by them.57 years later I find this amazing this video..am still proud that I am an Indian descendant and belong to Hinduism...let's unite and spread this knowledge to the world..no matter where we are... i do my bit through my programmes on Radio Hindvani 91.5fm stereo called Cultural Corner(sanskrit nukkar)... let's all attempt to educate our children about glorious past! I heard that Indian Civilization originated in Pakistan & Nepal. Not from India. Indus Valley Civilization was in Pakistan. Guru Nanak & Sikhism was born in Pakistan. Chanakya was from Pakistan. The Buddha is Nepalese born in Nepal. Sita was born in Nepal. Vamalki was from Nepal. Ramayana epic was from Nepal. In reality The Buddha, Sita & Guru Nanak was not from India. You have just highlighted the difference with Indian society being anarchist. Even Gandhi wanted to revert to the system upon independence. We live in a world dominant with oligopolistic capitalism. Modern India is a classic example of how the business moguls and Indian elites have stolen power and wealth in modernity aided by a nationalist compliant government. The former government used state ownership to hold back the country, now the current government uses pervasive capitalism to hold back the country. India is now part of a global community so isolation is impossible it is better to learn from the teachings of others on what works and what doesn't otherwise India will be chained in the middle income trap.

You have just highlighted the difference with Indian society being anarchist. Even Gandhi wanted to revert to the system upon independence. We live in a world dominant with oligopolistic capitalism. Modern India is a classic example of how the business moguls and Indian elites have stolen power and wealth in modernity aided by a nationalist compliant government. The former government used state ownership to hold back the country, now the current government uses pervasive capitalism to hold back the country. India is now part of a global community so isolation is impossible it is better to learn from the teachings of others on what works and what doesn't otherwise India will be chained in the middle income trap.
