I just want Ben to be free from the writers that clearly hate him and his charcter. He was so happy post season 1 and wanted to explore the charcter more. In s2 we saw how much the writers and showrunners hated him, released several interviews posting their hate, and did everything to fast-track and ruin the charcter and even the romance (Jessie admitted that the writers removed the romance on purpose too)

Agreed, Ben has to be back as the Darkling and in his own form thank you very much. It would never be the same without him. As Alina is now herself riddled with Merzost, maybe his powers can be for the good? If she can work darkness, he can have some of the light in him now to counter it all. Some redemption for him would be nice.

I want a tragic romance:
-Alina gets slowly more dark, by being faced with difficult choices
-Darkling gets resurrected, and becomes slowly more good, from his love for Alina (but she keeps pushing him away)
-season 3 ends with the Darkling sacrificing himself to save Alina and the world
-she admits she loves him, he dies at peace in her arms - the end.
Let's all admit this is the best poetic ending, and works best with the plot so far 💘

-they finally decide to work together and start saving the captured Grisha from fjerda and, helping Nikolai and zoya in making ravka a better country
- they both become very intimate and truly balance each other out(Alina understands the darkling after she herself has been forced to make difficult decisions to save grisha, and he becomes more GOOD truly loving Alina along the path)
-they fake their deaths in a battle or something and go to another country or province in ravka to live the rest of their VERY LONG lives as diplomats or nobles in a place no one recognizes them, and then get called into court every now and then when they need help with fighting off bad guys or sum!!!
I also feel like Sanjay Elizaveta could be a potentially big villain and not just make the darkling shadow a bone’s Voldemort, like stop…Ulla(darklings sister)is literally right there, make her a badass Katherine pierce or sum, so much more entertaining

Honestly, I didn't like that they cut the best scenes of Darkling and Alina that were in the book...they were very relevant scenes to the character arc, but I liked the changes they made in the series in relation to the books that have really bad parts ,and I hope they keep making changes because the ending of the books is very bad, I was so disappointed that I wanted to reset and delete from my memory what I had read...but since I don't have that ability I had to endure the disappointment #Darklinaendgame #Darklinasupremacy

@@Marvette_h In the book Rule Of Wolves Darkling during a meeting with Alina, Nikolai and Zoya realize that there is a much greater threat called The Blight in ravka, a door called The Tear was opened .... inside that door there is the void of creation and if the door remains open the blight will come out and destroy everything, the blight is something like fold but it is even more dangerous because it would destroy everything quickly and nobody can control it, only someone strong enough could stand in the door and prevent the blight from leaving ,but it has a price, the pain, agony and torture are eternal, when Nikolai, Alina and Zoya were deciding who would stay at the door... then Darkling appears and says that he will stay at the door because he is the only one who is immortal and that will endure and that he will never let ravka be destroyed, they allow him to go, so he asks Alina not to let him be forgotten and that they build him a altar so that he will be remembered as a saint the Starless one, so he enters and his last words are " My name is Aleksander Morozova, but I have had hundred names and I have committed a thousand crimes. I am not sorry. I do not repent! All I did, I did for Ravka!", and his body is swallowed by the wood thorn tree, he remains alive being tortured eternally, in the end Mal and Alina are together, Zoya marries Nikolai and becomes a saint and queen of Ravka , Zoya then tells Alina that she wants to get the Darkling's body out of the wood thorn door and give him a dignified death, and that she would hire Kaz Brekker to help her, however it is not said what happens to the darkling after all, only if knows he's still trapped in the wood thorn tree, Leigh Bardugo could write another book to make the story more complete because I really didn't understand the ending... I didn't understand anything, and many fans not only didn't like it, they didn't either you get it because it's meaningless, it was a very vague ending, that's why a lot of fans are practically begging netflix to make changes and change the ending too!

@@ullamorozova That's what comes to my mind all the time when I remember that part where she says she wants to get the Darkling out of the Thorn Wood Tree, I think the biggest thing she feels is anger at being rejected, she always envied Alina because of her power and her status,and because the Darkling always gives favor to Alina and even because Mal and everyone else like Alina, it can be seen that she already started to be angry with him when he refused to sleep with her because he wanted Alina and Zoya showed hate for this, I don't think this hate is just because of the fold, this is "unrequited love" and it's so personal that even she can't admit it!

Also, I think there's a potential real connection between Alina and Nicholai but with them both being infected by the darkness that might not be the best situation for either of them. Also, hoping for the spin off for the Crows...or at least A LOT more Kanej. 😁

Don’t read that series, it was terrible. Worse than any wattpad fictional fanfic story written by a 12 year old. Leigh turns Zoya into a dragon and she can use ALL the Grisha powers. She’s essentially an avatar goddess - while Alina gets punished for having ONE power. Smh

I can say one thing, Ben Barnes was in the third book. Well, his character was in the third book. He didn’t die in season at the end of the second book. If he’s not in season three I’m not watching it he’s the reason I watched Sharma bones season one and two.

Eric the showrunner hates Ben Barnes and the character, they made sure to ruin the Darklina romance intentionally. They did everything to also try to ruin the Darkling character as much as possible. Eric even went on interviews to slander the charcter in s2, while in s1 he neutrally or positively compared him to Magneto.
Ben was so happy and eager to explore the charcter post s1 in interviews, but you can tell he hated s2 and doesn’t want to come back…who can blame him after he was done so dirty by the showrunners and writers
Honestly I think that Darkling should end up with Alina because the chemistry and the love they have for each other touched me very deeply they must bring him back to fight to be with Alina I kind of Understand why they might want Alina to be with Mal but the problem is that they made their chemistry and love very weak in season 1 and we kept seeing Alina and Darkling over and over again which made us love them more together that by the time the writers want Mal and Alina to be together in season 2 it was already too late we had already fell deeply inlove with Darkling and Alina so please bring them together please

After killing off Aleksander and the showrunners outright saying they do not want the Darkling and Alina to end up romantic, my partner and I are done watching after season 2.
The "best friends turned love interests" plot between Mal and Alina is weak at best and the two have zero chemistry. Their pairing seems more like author wish fulfillment than anything.
A tweet I read summed up my feelings on the matter quite succinctly:
"You can't just show me a girl with the power of the light and a guy with the power of the darkness, two sides of the same coin, sun and moon, good and evil, light and dark...
... and then expect me to root for the basic best friends to lovers couple."
This. Ben Barnes did not deserve the disrespect those showrunners and writers did to him. He was so happy and eager after season 1, but you can tell in s2 interviews he wasn’t happy. Both him and JML wanted to explore Darklina post s1.

the books are better than the show combined. At the start of the book, Zoya is Nikolia's right hand man and the general of the second army. She's also the only one who can tame Nikolai's inner demon. Obvs the show hates Zoya cause in the book, she can literally summon lightning, thunder, storms and wind without using her hands, they made her look like a weak shit in the show.

Dont bother reading those books. The king of scars duology is worse than a 13 year old’s wattpad fanfiction. Full of plotholes, retcons, macguffins, destroys the magical system for plot convenience. And at the end, the girl boss turns into an all powerful witch who controls all the elements and can turn into a dragon…. Yeah Leigh bardugo read too much avatar in 2011 and it shows (but in a bad way)

He won’t. He said in an interview that he’s done playing the villain. He used to be so eager to explore the character and was looking forward to it post season 1. Then the writers did him dirty, ruined the character, removed all romance and nuance, and went on interviews to bash him even more. Ben deserves a show that actually cares

Mal will get sun 🌞 Summoner's power from his resurrection to balance out Ms Darkling haha that would be the plot twist 😂😂 He accidently realised he can summon the sun and his crew trains him. Alina will face some power hangry issues b/c that's the deal wth being a shadow summoner, so she will seek some support or guidance. King Nikolai needs also some help wth his monster, but they will come in handy on the battle field, especially if Zoya controls the monster with wind power. Mal will be the antidote to Alina s Shadow Summoning, so they can cancel each other's power out. Either they keep the powers or decide to transfer them to other people. I am sure it is possible but unexplored. They could also portray the Apparat as a Ravkan traitor, power hungry man (why this dude does not have any revealed power yet) I am sure his role will be more defined and central to keep Ravka at war with the Fjerdans. There is a gain for him to "Devise to better Reign". I still could not understand the dude's shady roles in season 1 and 2. Script writers could have had him kill if he was not that important 😊 we all know there will be some "kind" of return of general Kirigan with/without a Yuri character; they could make him a ghost of some kind like a living spirit or they could mix his face wth AI and juxtapose it on a Yuri actor. That would be so interesting/fun to see 😅

I’m confused. I thought it was canceled..
Honestly, Alina, the Darkling and Mal were extremely boring to watch. I recommended the show to several people and all of them say the same thing - they only watched it for the Crows...It would be disappointing if they focus on them again next season. I'm hoping they won't mess too much with the ice court heist, but I fear they stole too many story beats from the book and put them in earlier seasons, so I'm not sure how the whole thing will work

I know that's why I watched. I love that crows are really on the edge of respectable so sometimes they might get into a bit of trouble.
You do know the writers did that on purpose? They rushed and ruined s&B story and charcters because they just wanted the crows - Eric isn’t shy about sayin that. By removing all s&b plot, ruining all the characters, sidelining Alina, and only really focusing on the crows Eric made you and countless others just want a crow show. Both shows should have had their own separate seasons to begin with. Not the mixed up mess

Yes, the Shu Han had experimented on Grisha long before the events of the trilogy. It’s why Ravka doesn’t have to send out recruits, everyone who is a Grisha tries to escape Shu Han of they are able to

I couldn't even finish watching season 2...I'm just so disappointed to see them change a story that I really loved to the point of it being completely unrecognizable.

she is... eventually Zoya becomes a saint after learning to summon other grisha powers, like fire and water ... but that's only one of the few things she could do,,, the books eventually makes Zoya overpowered.

@@oOcitizenOo and yes Zoya is now the most powerful grisha after being able to learn to control lightning/thunder, wind, fire, water, solid matters, storms (like hurricanes and blizzards) and can transform into a dragon..... actually originally in the books Zoya already knew how to summon lightning and thunder (she just learned to adapt other elemental magic later on) but the show made her a generic Squaller 😂😂

No, Mal and Alina were the epitome of toxic codependency. They tried to make the Mal charcter better in the show, but he still smiled when Alina self-harmed to stay behind with him in the orphanage, he still held her back. In the books he was far worse and misogynistic to her, then he’d turn around and love bomb her to make her forget. Their relationship was not healthy either.
