Thanks Liz and Brandon for this interview!! It is super inspiring to hear other singers who were able to recover with MTD.
I love your points of saying that maybe the symptoms of MTD won’t go away completely and might come back, but that we still have the tools to work through it. Both can be true.
And also you saying that a part of healing is believing that you can. I worry so much about it not going away, but the point is, like you said, I need to believe that I can heal, and that I have the tools and exercises available to do so.
I also wanted to ask, @ 35:46, you mention seeking out speech therapists online, but that they don’t go by “speech therapists,” they go by a different word. I wanted to ask what they go by? I would like to look them up too.
I had speech therapy for about 6 months after getting diagnosed with MTD, and we stopped after feeling like we reached a plateau with our appointments. She also suggested that I seek out a therapist to talk about my stress, which I am still looking for one at the moment, but I’ll get one soon, for sure. I was curious about the people you mentioned and want to look into them online.
Thanks so much again for this interview, and I’m looking forward to more episodes of this series! 😊

Hey my friend. :) the speech therapist I can think of is Katarina H healthy voice tips. You can work with her. I did know of another but she stopped working in this field.
I’d just start with Katarina… they can’t say speech therapy so look for the words Katarina uses.
Also talk therapy could really help your voice! It’s helped mine A LOT!

Hello! I have not but looks amazing! I did do posture work (the Alexander technique and yoga) and physical therapy work with fascia release. Worked wonders! But For me it hasn’t been just one thing but many many things that have helped me to heal. :)
