I unlike most people can keep my attention for more that 5 mins before needing to go see whats going on with insta Google face tweet. If you can't have an attention span for more than 15 mins I dont think you should be out in the bush. If you really are passionate about something then you can never get tired of it. Thank you for all your hard work and doing what you do for us keep up the awesome work! Also id love to know how and what you had to do to become an instructor for the pathfinder school. Again thank you very much
Did you ever think about building your own packs that you use and sell them fully stocked besides food? I appreciate everything you do for us and again thank you for your services and welcome home my brother! I for one would buy one! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👊🏻
Hey Corporal, have a suggestion. You have massive proficiency in building. Any chance you could do a multi part series on building an elaborate bugout camp? Something that is semi long term? That would absolutely rock! As always, great video, I appreciate all the work you put in for us, thanks!
For my son's 15th Birthday we took of to the woods. I myself has a pop up tent, but I went and got me a hammock. So I could be off the ground. We found a creek bed that was dry and made our shelter there. It was hot and muggy at night time. But we stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. We used solar banks for light. The bad thing with them are where we were we didn't get enough light to keep the lights working at night. When fall comes around we will do it again. I just want to say thanks for showing how to put the darn hammock back in the bag. Thank you for your videos. I was way out of my comfort zone but this mom rocked it.
I love your videos. As an older female, I get lots of jokes about going camping “in the woods” by people I know. Since watching your videos I’ve learned quite a bit more and different ways of doing stuff. You explain it clearly and the “show-n-tell” helps me immensely. I’m more of a visual and hands on learner. That’s sad the other day I went to the park trying out your tripod for the Hamic and I was asked a whole Lotta questions about where did I learn to do this and why am I doing it here in the park. Since I rent and I don’t have any place to try out my new skills. I go to one of the Parks which is an excellent place to practice things. I don’t want to need the skills and not at least practice it at least once. I hope you continue to put out these videos because you can teach an old dog new tricks and yes I have been sharing these videos with my so-called friends the jokers who were laughing at me before. Guess who’s laughing now?😂😂
hi🌷 ABSOLUTELY!! Me too!- almost thinking about Going & acquiring homestead plot in woods, Yes they still exist!!!! I’m older female too, might have to run south for Coldest! But OMG , that’s what I Need! Outside is my element!! kind regards Cheryl & Buddy 😊🐾
MISSED SEEING YOUR SON. HOPE HE IS BACK SOON. EVEN IN THE SHORT TIME HE WAS IN THE VIDEOS I COULD SEE HIM GROWING A LOT MORE SELF-CONFIDENT AND SKILLED
Mate, it's got me stumped why anyone would opt out half way through one of these videos. They rock. Make 'em longer and I'll be here longer. 👍 Cheers for the effort you put into them. The content is gold.
Semper Fi brother! Not sure where to start... first off thank you for your videos and all the work you put into them. I served USMC 2000 - 2004, 70% disabled PTSD, don't get out much anymore, lost my 2 best friends from the service to suicide and sometimes i feel very much alone. I miss all the guys i used to serve with. Hearing the way you talk just feels me with this peace that i do not think most people will understand. Your videos help me stay grounded and help me to remember the cores and values I learned. I hope to one day get back out there and do fun stuff like this again. For now atleast i can through your videos. Thanks again brother. Semper Fi From one Corporal to another
i also have ptsd but from another type of warfair still the most peace i ever get to feel is in the woods no people around to threaten me just peace i hope you will soon get to have that in your life again be safe be well be at peace
How much does your bag weigh? I love the fact that you bring the gear you want, and not focus on the insanely expensive ultralight gear that a lot of us can afford.
I've learned so much watching your videos. Your influencer page made it simply and easy to pick and choose the gear that i needed to start doing overnighters across the state. looking forward to my adventures. keep making quality content.
Had to watch this one again. This is one of your best. The video....the gear loadout....setup.....and the chow. Everything on point and good to go.Damn good job. Semper Fi. Charles
I think the midweek skill/gear review video is a great idea. I dont get why people would skip through such good content. Its genuine, and educational. Still my favorite outdoors channel out of all of them! Cant wait for more
Try vanilla to stop the bugs on your next camp out. Yes vanilla the stuff used to bake cakes with. You can also use pine needles in your smug pot. And I take mint gum (spearmint or peppermint gum) with me on my outings. It keeps your mouth moist while hiking, and keeps the bugs from hanging around your face. The camera looks and sounds great.
Your content is priceless. it doesn't matter about RUclips. Once you find your page your videos are packed full of so much knowledge they're worth watching all the way through.
You don’t have to worry about keeping me entertained!! I love your videos!! I love the nature that you show, the skills you demonstrate, the bits of comedy you randomly throw in and the food you cook!!! I also love the way you teach us all the stuff you teach us, you’re doing an outstanding job and I thank you for putting up with the bs that you do to be able to do what you do so well!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think the midweek videos showing skills could definitely boost your average watch time. The smudge pot was really cool, haven’t seen anyone else do that before
Not a complaint. Play out the rest of the tear down of campsite. It's just as important as set up. And pleasant to watch the forest go back to close to normal with no foot print. Just my 2 cents
Cant believe people dont watch your videos from beginning to end. I watch them with my 19 month old grandson every Sunday morning... Hawaii time. Enjoy your content... continue doing what you do! #SemperFi #DevilDog
Sometimes I miss the like button and go back just to hit the like button. I'm sorry if that messes your videos or not. I'm glad you put the reminder in there. Thanks for teaching us. Last week, the family and I were out camping and this young couple were trying to start a fire for dinner. I made a comment to my wife about them and she said they need to learn on their own. I couldn't hold back after 30min of watching them. I grabbed my fire starting gear and walked over. I showed them several ways to start their fire. Each time I showed them away I would put the fire out and continue with a different method. The guy tried the ferro rod and birds nest method, got the fire going and they were very grateful for my help. I also made the suggestion to watch your videos, cause that's how I learned how to start fires. If it wasn't for you I'm pretty sure they were going to have cold beans for dinner than the corn on the cob, small potatoes and steaks they ate that night.
I absolutely love watching your videos. The only question I have is what in the hell do you do with the old shelters and whatnot? Do you keep them in place? Or tear them down? If I was a kid and was wandering around the woods and came across some of the builds it would of been the best day of my life... Keep up the amazing work!!!!
Ah yes, common sense. The problem I've found over the years that it's not so common. Great vids!! I always watch to the end, helps me learn and retain. Keep it up!!
Thanks God, i am at my fav eat place while watching this eps, you always makes me hungry Chief, while it is so excited learning from you, thanks alot Chief
Been binge watching your videos for a couple months now while being laid off, you are the best channel on RUclips and the only thing getting me through this harsh Canadian winter you make me so exited to get back in the bush as soon as possible, march 1st and still 5 plus feet of snow and counting, i try and get out as much as i can during the winter but I don’t have good winter gear and without a snowmobile or a good pair of snowshoes it’s just not enjoyable
Another good one. Sage, Rosemary, and Mint also work well as smudging bug repellent for folks who want to bring something with them, if they don’t have a solid working knowledge of identifying wild plants safely.
:black mamba falls out of boot: :cut scene to Cpl leaning on tree: “Here’s what I’m thinking, Breakfast, bacon wrapped and cheese stuffed snake”. Mid week video would be nice, something 3-5min long and just a meat and potatoes kinda thing, it’s worth a try.
You put alot of time and paitence into what you do. Very meticulous thanks for pushing me to learn new things and I'm an older man. As always enjoy your channel.
Love the videos. I try and use something I did not know or think about. I learned bush craft when I was a kid. I am old now and don't practice. Makes me wana get out more.
Fantastic idea! I'm going to try the tripod hammock hang next time out. Sometimes you find a campsite with a great view but no two trees are positioned to let you see the view while in the hammock. This fixes that. I'll have to try that steak idea too! I'm saving up for that one.
You should definitely apply to be on “Alone”. I know I’m probably not the first person to say this, but I think you would have the best chance at winning.
One of the things I love about these videos is how slowly he performs his skills. They're not shown done as fast as he can go to show how good he is, but he goes as slowly and clearly as practical to teach the skills he knows. Keep it up.
I watch from beginning to end, thank you for great content. You had me drooling again. Food is to die for and that sunset view is incredible. Enjoyed the smudge pot with yarrow too. K.I.S.S., love it. Hammock stand build - outstanding AF. You did it again!
I definitely agree with you that RUclips is suppressing channels teaching survival and bushcraft techniques. It's a shame, the conspiracy side of me thinks that the less skills we have the more we depend on the gov't and they know that. Please keep doing what you're doing, Lord knows some day this will all come in handy.
Corporal eating is like in the movies when there is a love scene and then the camera pans to the fireplace, but in this case it's a cut shot to the campfire. 🥩💖🔥 Fully agree with you.....I mistakenly tapped the "explore" tab on the YT app..... nothing but cringey "music" videos, the "secret" of how a female politician uses red lipstick, and video games.
"Not the years it's the milage"" CC Here I sit 71.6 years, resting on my day off (yes I work full time, most days 9-10 hours) after my 8 mile treks to/from work yesterday with about 20 lbs in my almost old school harness pack. Just stepping up my exercise, after treatment for stage 4 cancer, as my Dr suggested. Often my customers, and fellow employees can't believe my age, agility and mobility. I agree CC not the years but the milage. This member of the legions cares too! Thanks CC Also love the gear! Thank you extra income. And a day off to enjoy it all. My thoughts. 😊
Learning about the smudge pot, was great. I never have enough bug spray and some of it I won't even use. So learning about what to use as far as bug sprays, foods anything that could come in handy in case of whatever, is great. Thanks a lot.
Corporal with your military experience and your well versed bushcraft back ground I think maybe doing a basic bushcraft first-aid & maybe a basic bushcraft first-aid kit review video on maybe one of the new midweek show topics would be really interesting. Not saying the gear you carry is not well rounded and versatile. I just don’t honestly recall you ever mentioning first aid or seeing a first aid kit in your gear. I apologize in advance if you have already done a first-aid video already. I just don’t recall seeing one in any past videos on the topic that I have watched so far. It’s in my humble opinion that i think it would be good topic for a midweek show. Heck maybe even a mid week show series on the topic one day week over few weeks. Thanks again for another great video corporal Kelly! Tell John we said hello & we are all looking forward to y’all doing some more videos together! Take care brother.
I like Olympus myself. My dad bought me an Olympus years ago. I have to get it repaired however. Of the three cameras I’ve owned: Konica, Yashika, and Olympus, I loved my Yashika the most. But the Olympus is simple to use and does take a great photo as well.
Excellent video as well! I always watch your videos all the way through from beginning to end. my channel is also suffering from watch time. my average is between 7 and 8 minutes. Blessings!
Right, most videos that get the most watched are max 10 to 15, you start getting into 20 or 30 or more people won't usually watch ten mins of quick videos most people on a break or lunch will watch. But you can't always do videos like that for certain jobs.
Corporal, I watch your videos in full as much as I can. I support you 100%, brotha 😁 Don't let that extreme-left, conservative-censoring algorithm get you down. Hang in there 😉
I wait every Monday morning (Australian EST) for your latest video. I am 66yo, 3 years Royal Australian Army (LCpl) , 12 years Royal Australian Air Force (Sgt). Can't bend too well these days, camping not much of an option for me anymore so I live vicariously through your posts. Love your work. Been a subscriber for about 3 years.
I'm in Canberra. Ex ARes (13yrs) and RAAF (3yrs). Just a bit younger than you but with 2 knee replacements and arthritis. I go camping with a tent cot for just overnight or a teardrop caravan (too small to live in so you get to be outside most of the time but have a comfy bed). As I work full time I get vicarious pleasure from Cpl's Corner between trips.
I watch your whole video brother. Glad your staying, you are my first choice when I need to learn something. Been with you for 3 years now and don't plan on stopping
The only drawback to watching your vids is that it always makes me hungry! Great content as always. No greater peace than some solitude, meat, and a fire.
People aren't watching the entire video? Seriously? No wonder I see so many comments and think, "Didn't you watch the video? The answer to your question is in the video!" Appreciate what you do Corporal. Keep it up. Looking forward to the classes.
I am pissed that youtube stopped sending email notifications. It's hard for me to keep track now. Also, I am a liberal and I can't stand Trump but I'm not sure what that has to do with your videos. Also, I am vegan, LOL. so I don't make your recipes. But that all being said, I do love your videos and have learned a lot from them. I am in Central Cali so not many trees around here but I love the idea of a hammock stand with 2 x 4's. Oh, and I do always watch your videos from beginning to end, I really do like them. I enjoyed the ones with your boy a lot. You are a good Dad.
Same. Lib Trump hater, but Corporal's Corner is good to go. Watch everything all the way through and multiple viewings, learn something everytime. Keep them coming!
Yt is pushing the liberal agenda on it's viewers to try to sway opinion like they are censoring and eliminating conservative content on Fakebook, twatter, etc.
Watch Time.. I have RUclips Premium and I can watch your videos at normal speed, slower than normal, and at 2x faster speed. Your channel is helpful to me because my skills are at the 5 year old level. Eventually I will learn to buy hamburgers from the supermarket and to cook them all by myself. I'm 49 years old. I think it will take me 2 hours to get the fire going. It's just that I may have used charcoal 3 times in my whole life. Thank you for teaching me.
Corporal Kelly: don't let the negative comments get to you. Stay above the downers. Your words are true - common sense. Education in life, books, and the natural world will increase common sense and diminish stupid ignorance.

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👊🏻
Can't you colab with some other survivalists and go to another platform?
Seriously, you could have a 2nd channel where you just cook like Gordon Ramsey or some shit. Would generate more revenue.
3 Things you know about Corporal's Corner:
1. You will be "good to go".
2. It will be "outstanding".
3. Bacon.
Hey Corporal, have a suggestion. You have massive proficiency in building. Any chance you could do a multi part series on building an elaborate bugout camp? Something that is semi long term? That would absolutely rock! As always, great video, I appreciate all the work you put in for us, thanks!
I second this idea i would love to see it!!!

I think that's a great idea as well

My load in viet nam ‘68 at 110 lbs , nine days rations , we were the best equipped army in world , I can testify to that , carried it all on my back
I love your videos. The Corporal has mastered the woods. With our help, he can master RUclips.
I got the notice and will be watching this shortly. Can't wait to see what you're cooking up this week.
Ok the bug trick thumbnail had my interest, the bacon ribeye got my attention. Outstanding.

I think the midweek skill/gear review video is a great idea. I dont get why people would skip through such good content. Its genuine, and educational. Still my favorite outdoors channel out of all of them! Cant wait for more
I like how you do close ups on your gear, really enjoy your channel. Food just seams better when camping.
Hey.. Out of them all.. And there is plenty.. Yours is the channel that I must not miss. Always great content and useful tips and tricks.. Fantastic 👍
You can always count on the Corporal. 💪😊
This channel has so much insanely useful information. No messing about, no fuss. Just straight strats and facts. Thanks for another great upload!
Try vanilla to stop the bugs on your next camp out. Yes vanilla the stuff used to bake cakes with.

Great content! No reason for anybody to say anything negative. Keep doing what you do!!!
Mid week videos highlighting skills, gear and menus would be a plus! Glad you got the website up.

Here I sit 71.6 years, resting on my day off (yes I work full time, most days 9-10 hours) after my 8 mile treks to/from work yesterday with about 20 lbs in my almost old school harness pack. Just stepping up my exercise, after treatment for stage 4 cancer, as my Dr suggested. Often my customers, and fellow employees can't believe my age, agility and mobility. I agree CC not the years but the milage.
This member of the legions cares too! Thanks CC
Also love the gear!
No Corporal.......THANK YOU for all you do for us. Simper Fi sir
Thank u for another fantastic video!
My man. You are a getter done kind of guy. Thank you for all the great instructions, and humor.
For a mid week skills video, you should do a series on field medicine/trauma care.
Corporal, I watch your videos in full as much as I can. I support you 100%, brotha 😁
Don't let that extreme-left, conservative-censoring algorithm get you down.
Of course i am going to watch all 30 mins. Wouldn't miss your sparkling wit and model good looks for anything. Keep them up I love watching them
Did you watch Roland win Alone this week? Was epic. Would love to see you on a season of Alone.
just to let you know the video quality is great, watching them videos in HD, sound quality is ok
I cant understand why your watch time is low. I gotta see the whole thing! My goal is to learn knot tying from the Corporal.
Best out there ! I’m here every week to see what’s new. Keep up the good work!!
I watch your whole video brother. Glad your staying, you are my first choice when I need to learn something. Been with you for 3 years now and don't plan on stopping
I can’t understand why RUclips is doing that to you. I’m a 66 year old woman and I think they are interesting. I enjoy watching them.
Great to see you using Black Rifle Company coffee.
I’ve seen that herb in the woods. What is it called, yarrow? I always thought it was a variety of fern.
I really want to know who these assholes are that down vote his content......everyone should look up to this man🇺🇸 much respect brother🤘🍻
@@earndoggy 👍
Corporal Kelly: don't let the negative comments get to you. Stay above the downers. Your words are true - common sense. Education in life, books, and the natural world will increase common sense and diminish stupid ignorance.
