Okay,so about a decade ago playing guitar I somehow stumbled into the cords of this song while playing something else.I recognized it as Wild Nights and figured out the chorus and refrain, and got the lyrics, and liked playing it.However, the song really has only two verses, and I wish it had a third. So I tried to put my mindset into the song, and came I up with a third verse, which I think actually fits pretty darn well if I may say so myself. So here it is,and Mr.Van Morrison or anyone else are welcome to use it if they like all the cars, head on down to the Drive In and the Police, sit by the side of the road and the waitress brings the milkshakes on roller-skates and the boys give the girls their sweaters when they get cold
@@greenrockyroad3845 I just happened to be sitting here cool happy title GreenRocky Road, and glad you think the verse is okay, I am an 80's kid born in the sixties,so I kind of had to try and imagine an era before my time. Sock-Hops , Burger Joints with the Roller Skate carside delivery, Bored Police not really wanting to find trouble,Boys who cared about their Girls, Letterman Sweaters,or not lettered ,Drive Ins , the good side of a simpler time. I thought the Milkshake part was the funnest ! take care,Rock On. and Van the Man gets all the credit,I really like his line about the JukeBox Roars out just like Thunder !
great song, but why is the main guitar riff being played on the bass? The studio album version has it sounding wonderfully punchy on the guitar. That riff is the best part of the song. doesn't quite sound the same in this version. But Van is still the man!
It is called live in music we hire session players. In life we practice the crap out of it and it is different every single show this applies for almost ever dong recorded since the early 1900’s
Yeah, it is. It has a side jack, and it's hard to see because the bottom of the camera frame is mostly just above it. But once or twice he moves back and you can see the cable connector, just barely.

It might be difficult to sing and play that riff at the same time
I think Ronnie Montrose did the guitar work in the studio
