- We recently picked up Mr. President our new Dexter bull from Mark and Kathy Chaney. Mr. President is our second bull and we are happy to have such a well mannered bull on our farm.
In this video Mark gives valuable tips on raising and managing Dexter bulls. This video is especially important for those getting into breeding Dexters and new to handling bulls. Mr. President is halter broke unlike our first bull. Our prior experience with halter breaking cows is with our Jersey cow who basically will just follow us where we want her and our yearling Dexter heifer we are training for milking.

About Sweet Briar Farm:
We are a small farm located in Central/Northern Michigan. We farm every inch of our 6 acres. We breed Registered Dairy Goats, Dexter Cattle, and Heritage Hogs.
Our goats include Nubian goats, Mini Nubians, Fainting Goats, and Nigerian Dwarf goats.

Mark is definitely a pro and very generous with his knowledge.
We recently bought Moose from Chaney Dexter Farms. He is our first bull and being relatively new to cattle we were very pleased with the temperament that they achieved with him. Watching Mark walk moose into the trailer was the best part of the day. My girls absolutely love him on the farm.
We saw that video of Moose. Mr. President is our 2nd bull and is going to be so much safer to manage. We did not trust Killian our first bull at all.
That bull calf that knocked me down would have been introduced to Mr. Webber.
Mr. Chaney needs a new flag.
