- FA Cup weekend. Seeing as both Scunthorpe and Buxton were knocked out 🙄 Could only mean one thing, that the abandoned game could be replayed. Now, I know Buxton fans weren’t happy about this. In all fairness we wouldn’t have been either. Yet here we are under an even bigger cloud, than the one that turned the pitch into a lake.
As for the game. It was one of, one team putting chances away, one that couldn’t and an air of uncertainty. So well done to Buxton on the 3-0 win - fully deserved 👏🏼👏🏼 Only down side from the original game - worse off goal difference.
Though in the grand scheme of things, that’s the least of our worries. As many will know the owner has decided not to put any more money in. We’ve now reached just over £60000 for this which is a huge achievement and will go towards help all the unpaid staff involved. So to each and everyone of you who has been involved. As an Orient supporter I can feel your pain but hopefully you get through this and comeback even stronger we were fortunate to get some decent new investors and have returned to where we were before the previous owner took over, sadly this is happening too often in the lower leagues the EFL running of the sport is not good enough, good luck with the rest of the season hope to be back at Glanford Park sooner rather than later as we need all the points we can get!! Side note, went online to the shop to buy a shirt and the only option for adults was a S (they have youth sizes for my daughters...but we all want one!) I would appreciate any advice!
The sizes aren't very generous either, sadly. The club are selling United We Stand t-shirts on their website. Lots of us are buying them instead.

I'm a Buxton supporter + saw the footage of the penalty award + yes it wasn't a penalty but over all The Bucks were the better team! The main is though that Scunthorpe survive + with all of your great fans + staff you will be ok eventually!🤞🤞♥️👍

Yesterday was hell, but I was determined to get through and try my best to enjoy the game. Only positive was the free curry. It helped to be around fellow supporters. We need to stick together.

Gareth what a pity you had to play Buxton they were the worst team you could have played they were out to win after the abandonment.
I remember us dying by a thousand cuts with the final game away at Cardiff we lost 2-0 !

You must keep the vlogs going Gareth they really are A+. I've got tickets for Saturday (no ice hockey on Saturday) so I will say hi to you then. Looks like Buxton were a formidable outfit. The situation the club is in is all too familiar as I've experienced in the past. I turned my back on football years ago when Sky took over and looked after the bigger clubs, who don't give a hoot about smaller clubs and throw millions of pounds at it with players on extortionate wages and outprice tickets for the working class. I don't believe that your club will die, although you may experience playing in exile and further down the pyramid as I experienced in the past with my local club. Scunthorpe as a town has had more than it's share of bad news, but the people still battle on as will your club.

I'm a Gillingham supporter. And I wish you all the good fortune for your club.
Sad to see a club like Scunny in this mess. Hopefully you will survive, clubs have come back from worse, and ultimately it is the fans who will get this club back on its feet. It might need major surgery, and look differently in future, but the important thing is that there is a club to support, wherever they play and in whatever league.

I used to come down to Scunthorpe regularly in the late 90's early 2000's, when there were some good players, in particular strikers. Andy Dawson, Jamie Forrester, Steven Mclean, Paul Hayes, Cliff Byrne, Andy Keogh to name a few. The Fan base was never happy, what they would give to get back to those days........

Well I hope certain parts of the fanbase are happy. Finally building some positive momentum but their cynical attitudes derailed all of that.

As gareth knows for the last 3 yrs ive been very negative abt the situation at Scunthorpe. Ive watched too many people on this channel living in a world of there own.... Ive known for along time this is how it would end im realistic.... Sadly lots on here are dreamers.... My thanks to gareth for all his efforts its all over and it wont come back..... Why carnt these big premier league clubs help out. It’s disgusting how the money differs from the top league downwards. Look at Man Utd with a 70k stadium moaning about the glazers when clubs like scunny and Southend carnt survive.
