I'm glad you made this video. I love when I get upgraded and even if it's just on a short 30-40 minute flight - I don't know....I just get kind of a thrill out of it. I'm getting ready for a big trip to Indonesia involving using my Delta sky miles to fly Delta One business class from LAX to Singapore. But before the trip, I have to fly from Phoenix to LAX and I fly on the Embraer 175. I've been counting down for this trip for like a year and it won't seem real to me that the trip is happening until the Embraer 175 takes off for the short PHX to LAX leg. So for some strange reason, it's the Embraer 175 leg that I'm most anticipating just because it signifies the start of a big scuba diving trip I've been planning to do for well over a year. I love Delta First Class especially on the ERJ my preferred seat is 1A. With today's rrequent flier mile redemption issues at times I will use my miles for roundtrip First Class from SJC-LAX as opposed to let them sit and potentially become devalued. With drinks, snacks and Sky PRiority and free luggage its worth it I booked my Mother and I in First Class down to LAX!
I am a senior citizen. Delta LAX-SMF has excellent first-class ticket services/perks. Online check-in, early boarding, attentive staff, very kind and helpful with stowing my carry-on bag. My first-class seat A1 width and legroom are perfect ( I am petite) just like the old days, when even economy class seats, weren't inhumanely cramped as they are today. The First class ticket is worth buying for a dignified comfortable experience. The jet Embraer 175 is very roomy (great headroom! compared to the United flight I took to lax on a Canada Regional Air jet. I will prefer the Embraer 175 plane and Delta for future trips. A+++ flight experience!
I love how Alaska Air gives you Lounge Access. I just scored a r/t at the end of September for $118 r/t. In February I got it for $208 still not bad at all. Delta wants way more.
If Southwest isn't an option, one should always look out for those "G" fares if Delta flies the route... I've seen such fares at almost exactly what the cost of buying a coach fare for the same flight plus 2 bags would be.
Maybe switch Alaska and southwest (but that’s just my opinion) it’s so sad how our legacy carriers have fallen behind to low cost and hybrid carriers when they should be on top
@@Ichibuns I flew on American recently to DFW on their a321. The entertainment was extremely good, service was decent (the FAs were nice enough) and frankly American air gets a bad rap. They used to be a bad airline, but after improvements I think the airline is on track to move up the chain.
@12:09 They got rid of the dividers because people kept hitting their heads on them and it was a safety hazard. Even the FA’s during turbulence or just moving around would bonk their heads and it hurt so badly!!!! So they got rid of them
Ayy nice I took this same flight in February 2017. It was originally a 12 PM flight, but it was cancelled and I was rebooked to a 5 PM flight. I sat in 4F (or D, whatever they call the right hand window seat) the seats did seem pretty descent for such a short hop!!! Delta is pretty friendly and I’ve noticed they don’t care if you record.

Anyone have any idea on how to deal with turbulence anxiety? I used to not have this problem but I started having it around 8 years ago. It is debilitating. I cannot miss out on visiting the world just because of fear of flying. I am flying to Cancun in April and am worried about how I anxious I will be. It is like an anxiety attack. I am thinking if I drink enough, it might help. That has worked in the past before. Any advice or experience would greatly appreciated.

You are making a generalization there...I am a middle aged crew member and would have worked circles around these girls and collected glases on time and furthermore, I would have known where the AC was going and not been stumbling through the announcements (and done it all with a smile and great attitude, AND let you fim). I agree, attitude counts, and they sounded very friendly, but I also fly as a passenger and I have found friendly crew members among all age groups and genders and vice versa with unfriendly. I agree with you on the Embraer versus CRJ preference, and the tacky lack of divider between FC and economy. Beautiful photography on your video.

We flew on this plane to Boston I am not a good flyer lol was about to get back off the plane my son told me no we have to meet my sister in Scotland I settled down and enjoyed the flight once we got going
Never having flown to/from SAN,I don't understand the remark referring to not talking about Terminal 1 and 2 East.What's wrong with those terminals? If you had dinner reservations at 7pm Las Vegas time and your flight touched down at 1810,that would involve some serious rushing through the terminal complex to take a taxi(Uber?)to the chosen location--did you overnight on the Strip?
So basically terminal 1 is made up of two rotundas which were built decades ago and weren’t design for the amount of traffic they get today. They suffer from overcrowding and lack of food options. Terminal 2 east is much better than terminal 1, having more food options and a connection to 2 west, but lacks seating options. For the first time ever, our bags made it to baggage claim before we did, and we did have a hotel shuttle arranged beforehand. We stayed on the strip for 2 nights.
If you ever can, buy First Class in a Chinese Airline, you will get the best service you have ever had. Mark my words. They care about you so much, even in economy, you press the FA bottom they are literally standing next to you in seconds. Air sick? They kneel down and comfort you. Its just amazing.

I despise small regional aircrafts....They are cramped, the ceilings are almost on your head, they always seem dirtier the bigger aircraft and I am not sure why people subject them selves to fly and promote flying in these type of aircraft...I am road warrior, I've been flying for over 25 years and I love wide body aircraft from 767 and up. Just my opinion !!
IMO the E 175s do not feel like a regional jet, they feel like a mainline with no middle seats (in coach). I have flown them from Portland to St. Louis on Alaska before they dropped (a 4 hour flight) and was comfortable. Also the windows and seats are larger than a normal mainline (windows being 185 cubic cm, larger than the 787). Just my opinion and I do respect yours (every other regional jet isn't pleasing or comfortable to me.

Just got an E-Mail from Delta staying my flight got changed.
So they changed my CS100 first class flight to an E175 which is a shame...
I’ve always received a blanket on AA first. I don’t recall a pillow. I never use them.
American doesn’t hand out pillows, but I don’t recall ever using one during a domestic flight

iTripReport but I find American has improved so much since they retrofitted their aircrafts. Especially in premium cabins.

I have flown the e195 first class often. Only complaint is the lack of an oven for the longer flights it handles.
