I flew delta last summer and I had a good experience. No delays, friendly staff, plane was clean, the only thing is I wish they had more in flight snacks to choose from. Otherwise it was a great couple flights I had.

Been flying since the late 1950s, & FF to 2023, this was my first Airbus, just flew economy window main cabin in a 319 LGA to ATL. Smooth, quiet, turbulence well absorbed, good info and entertainment console with Delta. That distraction with a fine whiskey = Reasonably comfortable & enjoyable flight for a fully packed aircraft.
So glad it wasn't a CRJ sardine can.
I am the world's number 1 aviation enthusiast and this is far the most beautiful cabin i have ever watched. Never saw nor watched a plane this beautiful inside here so i am subscribing right away
I'm glad you went to SLC, ill be making a trip report there soon so it's nice to see what the airport is like! If anyone wants to watch it, it will be coming mid August

I don’t recommend them, at least the last time I went on one they had no IFE and were loud

The a319s on delta should be similar to the a320s since they were both previously owned by northwest airlines.

I am not American but I am a Delta fan. Delta can customize planes as much as possible even the “space” PSUs on its 319s!

I was in SLC 1987, Omaha to Butte. I see some familiar things! Again 2002 Omaha to LAX.

The visuals were especially good in this video. Loved the sky color as you left SLC. Yeah...the tray table wouldn't be acceptable at any time, but especially now, as passengers need to know that a lot of extra effort is being made.

9:30 really Delta??? If they skipped cleaning this tray table imagine how many more go uncleaned!! bunch of liars when they say "we clean and desinfect the plane", total BS! 5000 miles is not even enough. That table is filthy, not acceptable at all, specially during a pandemic...

Cleaning of the planes is doubtless contracted out, and Delta didn't get what they were paying for! The filthy tray table was unacceptable at any time, but especially now when they are telling us how everything is thoroughly sanitized! When we're out in public nowadays we have to take all of the alleged sanitizing claims with a grain of salt.

Bob Rogers they got exactly what they pay for, want cheap labor get cheap service. US airline carries are horrible with that and I suspect a lot more
You should try Hawaiin Airlines from NY to Honolulu. They fly non stop directly to Honolulu. Great video!

Great trip report
The turbulence was fairly moderate..wouldn't be comfortable if it lasted long. There are some great vids out there of really severe turbulence, though, particularly a JetBlue flight over New York. There's also one between some city in South America and Europe where severe turbulence lasted for hours.
What site do you use to find aircraft history? Like registration change and airlines it’s flown for.
Those are the quirkiest overhead bins I’ve seen.
Cleanliness is more important than ever. Look how many people get sick on cruise ships because of poor conditions. The airlines must do better too.
I was wondering how you got from JFK to SLC, that view of the JetBlue a/c and your mention of an upcoming vid tells me.Only have been to SLC once,in Dec '14, going to Tucson on a Delta Connection CRJ-200 having connected from IAH-SLC on a CRJ-900--living in the Houston area,it makes sense to connect in SLC,rather than flying north to MSP or east to ATL but sadly,the DL website doesn't have favorable connections between IAH-TUS

Dude Delta’s A320 series cabin slaps, just take a look at American or United and you’ll get bored. Can’t wait to fly on one (whenever I can)!
Hopefully you’ll get a chance to do that! Heard they’ll be retiring the aircraft by the end of 2024/25.

Such an empty terminal. Last time I flew out of there, 2018, was buzzing. Also that JetBlue "Bluericua" plane is here in Long Beach. They send it to SLC or Reno and back to here. Nice report here. Thanks!

Great to see your interest in aviation. I was about 12 when I became a fanatic. My parents thought it was cool, but the neighbors thought I was really strange the way I would spend hours with my aircraft radio and binoculars (every afternoon after school). We lived right on the approach path to one of the Houston airports.

Probably sooner than you think. They’re already talking about taking their A320s out of service by 2025.
Hi my dream is for you to go to Aguascalientes Mexico from lax Los Angeles and fly on volaris airlines and I want to be a pilot for volaris to so if you could fly there I would be soooooooo happy.

how new the cabin is, looks like a brand new aircraft despite being nearly 20 years old. But, the tray table was unacceptable
I have a suggestion you should take this route from dfw , it’s from DFW-CDG and I know you only took the American Airlines b789 for 3 hours to lax , but you should definitely try the 9 hour flight on the b788 too cdg highly recommended : D
I don't know whats more embarrassing. Delta not cleaning the tray table as advertised, or how the person who sat their before you let their table get that disgusting (and not clean it).
Having the above Seat mood lighting seems to look better than the traditional factory installed ones.
Those aftermarket retrofit overhead bins look terrible! The factory build A321 bins look much better!

Assuming they just fog the plane between flights with tray tables down, at least the grim on the table is disinfected! lol
But seriously, that was bad of them to miss that. At least they were able to give you 5,000 SkyMiles (so like $50 in value?), but still no excuse to miss that. After almost 40 flights last year, it took a sticky tray table on United for me to finally start bringing wipes on the plane (pre-COVID).
