'It will give the fans what they deserve!' | Zlatan Ibrahimovic on plans for new AC Milan stadium

Zlatan Ibrahimovic praised AC Milan's ownership and looked forward to the new stadium planned by Gerry Cardinale and the RedBird group.
"I think what Gerry will bring with the new stadium, he will give the fans what they deserve", the former striker said on Thursday at the Financial Times Business of Football Summit in London.
"With all the respect to Serie A, I think it's a couple of years back compared to the Premier League, they are more in front when it comes to the whole surroundings."
RedBird Capital Partner completed the acquisition of the Italian club from fellow American firm Elliott Management in 2022.
AC Milan announced last September that they had filed a proposal to the council in San Donato to build a 70,000-seat stadium in the city suburb.
The move makes it even more likely that both Milan clubs - which play their home games at San Siro in the north-west of the city - will completely abandon their initial plans to build a new stadium on the same site.
Ibrahimovic, who officially retired at the end of last season, returned to Milan in an advisory role at the end of last year.
