The fact Krabs' first reaction to supposedly accidentally killing someone is to hide the body is very telling. At least SpongeBob had a conscience about it
Mr Krabs dressing up as his daughter to screw with Plankton is even more messed up when you think about it.
A Pal For Gary is certainly dark, but I wouldn’t say that that makes it good.

One episode that should have made the list was Whatever Happened to SpongeBob because SpongeBob is in a city filled with people living in fear and what’s worse is that he forgets who he is
The first SpongeBob movie would have definitely been on this list if movies were episodes. The fact that Plankton won is already scary enough. Anyway, do top 10 darkest Lilo and Stitch franchise moments, either from the movies and tv shows (yes, showS, as there was an anime and Chinese series too), and maybe the manga if you have the time.
I heard once from some random source that apparently due to the distain they had to working on One Coarse Meal, Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Doug Lawrence, Jill Talley and Lori Alan all did a suicide awareness rally.
And they treat suicide in that episode like a joke which is very very very wrong
A bit ironic considering Doug Lawrence helped write the episode; it's one of the few episodes he had a hand in writing.

No its not pearl is a sperm whale who doesn't even eat plankton so the episode is not only dark but doesn't make any sense also plankton has met Pearl before and wasn't scared of her before

This list had taught me that just because something is dark, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good.
These bad dark episodes really show SpongeBob at its worst, and most of them are from the dark ages. Do NOT associate these duds with the first three seasons.
One coarse meal had a easy set up that they could have done right to make it funny, Krabs could have hired pearl as a security or dressed up like Pearl to scare Plankton whenever he was caught stealing the secret formula.
Fun fact about one course meal: Pearl is clearly based off a sperm whale, which is a species that doesn’t even eat plankton but large animals due to having teeth
‘Dying for Pie’ reminds me of Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s ‘Party all the time’ where Frylock has cancer and Shake, Meatwad, and Carl try to make him feel better, and by the end both characters end up not dying in a humorous way

I'm suprised Cuddle E Hugs and Squid's Visit weren't on the list. Cuddle E Hugs is deceptively happy only to reveal the creature's weird and confusing motivations, and Squid's Visit has Squidward find his entire house copied slowly going insane untill that scene where he imagines him talking to the vacuum cleaner that is really creepy. Those would be my top 2 and I don't like either episode, but there's been a lot of dark episodes across 13 seasons.
I'm surprised graveyard shift isn't on the list.
@@ryanwilkins2233 I personally don't find the episodes that are introduced as horror parodies that dark, or maybe I just watched it too many times for it to be scary to me because it's top 10 episode material.
I feel as though SpongeBob Meets The Strangler would’ve been an honorable mention if he did have honorable mentions on here.
The episode is certainly very hilarious, but the idea of your stalker, or strangler in this case, being hidden in plain sight and you not realizing it is quite creepy.
Yeah and the fact it’s one of the SpongeBob characters that is confirmed to be a serial killer, not only that a mass serial killer
Maybe you could do one of these for Phineas and Ferb. A few ideas I have include Night of the Living Pharmacists, Phineas and Ferb Get Busted, The Curse of Candace, and Phineas And Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo

Honestly In Demolision Doofus That would have been the Final Straw for Mrs. Puff to Kick SpongeBob out of Boating school. I can Understand That Mrs. Puff is Beyond Angry With SpongeBob even though Murder was never the Answer.

11:59 Like we know that Mrs Puff despises Spongebob but even In a lot of episodes she appeared in She would never go as far as trying to kill Spongebob For the most part the fact that he constantly fails his driving test is why she sees him as a burden

I still believe that Dying For Pie is one of, if not THE most underrated SpongeBob episode of all time.

it seems this this is a cross between a top 10 darkest and top 5 worst SpongeBob episodes because some of these are dark because they're about characters acting cruel to other characters.
After seeing the “wormy” episode I was never able to recover. That will always be my most-feared episode. (Even though it’s not really that dark)

Plankton has met pearl before and hes never been afraid of her most notably in episodes like band geeks spongebob meets the strangler party pooper. Pants the algae's always greener culture shock and sleepy time.

One Course Meal is turpy the epitome of bad for SpongeBob, It's cruel. It's disturbing and downright malicious. I can totally see why is considered to be the lowest point of the show and forever will be.
