For this episode of Zoo Tours, I am very proud to present to you all one of the most eventful adventures to date. For the return of the Jacksonville Zoo, we're moving from Africa to South America - a part of the world that isn't represented enough on this channel. The Range of the Jaguar opened back in 2004 but to this day, still remains Jacksonville's signature attraction. 25 displays show off over 50 species of Central and South America's forests, rivers, and for the sake of theming - temple ruins. This tour reveals why it's best for Jaguars to always have a pool nearby, it not only gives the giant anteater a proper debut, but their baby as well! You'll learn why the capybara has such a chill reputation, gawk at the world's longest otters, and share the same space with some of the Amazon's most colorful birds. Quickly, you'll see why the Range of the Jaguar won the AZA best exhibit award for excellence in design.

Hi there! My name is Emerson Ashby. I’ve been following your channel and watched every video you’ve published. I’m a big fan!
I have footage of Oakland Zoo exhibits and some info on some of the animals there. I even got footage of the exhibits at the California Trail on the day of its opening. If you’re interested I can send you some to you for one of your next upcoming vids.
Thanks!
When is the next Jacksonville Zoo video coming?
I REMEMBER GOING HERE
My fav animal Jaguar
I think those Jaguars want a Super Bowl win
Lol
Those Jags are All Elite!!
Like for the LOTR pun
Great Video 👍❤
A new baby jaguar was born here in April!! ❤❤
I grew up going to that zoo and I love seeing people going to it. It's hands down one of the best exhibits I've ever been through
Great South America exhibit, especially doing different eco-systems
Glad I could help out with this tour. Jacksonville has by far the best Jaguar Habitat in my opinion, by size and natural feel, Zoo Miami is the only other Florida that comes close to matching this one.
And thanks again for letting me join you on this wild jungle adventure.
Yessir!
South American animals are amazing
The jaguar exhibit at ARTIS Amsterdam is the best I’ve ever seen!
The Houston Zoo's Pantanal Jaguar Exhibit is my favorite. Can always get a good view, and hard to beat when they have a walk way right over your head!!
I don’t think I have ever seen a jaguar in the nine zoos I’ve been to
Oakland Zoo and the Wild Animal Sanctuary have is the best jaguar exhibits of all time!
next zoo tour takes us to Disney's Animal Kingdom. I went there with my family when i was a kid
I love South American exhibits and this one looks really amazing! Some of the must haves and some of my favorite animals from the region.
Cool exhibit, I like the Caiman Lizard enclosure 🙂👍
If you will get to europe you need to visit Douè la Fontaine in France, Wildlands Adventure Zoo Emmen in the Netherlands and the Zoo Leipzig in Germany...
This is one of my favorite exhibits of all zoos. I haven’t seen it in person, but now that I’ve seen it on the channel, I need to go
My favorite jaguar exhibits are at Chattanooga Zoo, Birmingham Zoo, and San Diego Zoo’s Elephant Odyssey
Wow very fun and informative!
You should go to the Bronx Zoo
The jaguar is my favorite animal, so this video has become my favorite on this channel 😅
Great video! I love it 🐆
I have been there before but it’s too bad I’ll miss the dino exhibition but hey if I come back a third time maybe I’ll see something new
But I did hear there was a tapir in the range of the Jaguar exhibit I did see one but it was lying down so I’m not sure if he was asleep or dead but what I thought he was asleep
My favorite jaguar exhibit is Houston by far in regards to quality and detail but the largest is probably St Lpuis
In NYC
the stone zoo's "The Treasure of Sierra Madre
did you know the zoo and city was named after me
What a great tour and a Fantastic South American Exhibit definitely a highlight of Jacksonville
Just a few questions
1. What will be the next Jacksonville tour?
2. How many Animal Kingdom Tours will there be?
3. What do you think of Bush Gardens other exhibits besides the Safari?
I know one of the mammals that used to live with the capybaras is the Baird's tapir. I'm not sure what the other one was.
Mind checking out the Wonders of Wildlife Aquarium and museum tour please?
First in line
What other South American exhibits would you say have held up
🐆🐍🦎🐢🦇🐒🦦🦩
Introduce Tulsa zoo
4:32 how often do you see vampire bats in zoos?
I know I'm not Zoo Tours but I've been to 32 zoos and aquariums and have only seen vampire bats in 3 of them but they aren't that rare in zoos
Jaguars rock! They're known as the top predators of the Amazon Basin! Say, Zak, try visit the California Trail attraction at the Oakland Zoo soon, along with the San Diego Zoo Safari Park & the Woodland Park Zoo, too! And also, 4 zoo trivia questions for you & your girlfriend....
1) What is the name of the new female Andean Condor that moved into the former bobcat exhibit at the SF Zoo next to the giant anteater?
2) Which of the SF Zoo's lions passed away this year?
3) What animal do you recommend the Sacramento Zoo to have?
4) What 2 animals did the Omaha Zoo once bred back in 2012-2013?
Wow
