Dr Kano I so appreciate the high quality of your videos with your wonderfully articulate, easy to understand narrative. I very much appreciate the obvious skill, and meticulous work you put into your thorough exploration of these colors with those amazing swatches! It takes Lots of energy to do what you do. Thank you!
It’s really fun to rewatch the series now that it’s closer to being done. Definitely considering getting some Qor colors for a loose painting palette. 😍
Hi Dr Oto, your swatch comparisons are so helpful as reference material! I find yellows challenging to learn, yet I probably mix with them the most. Thank you!
So, I really am not a huge fan of yellows, which makes my opinion on these colors fairly useless - lol! But for dispersion and QOR flow, one or two of these would be good to add to the colors I use for more loose paintings. I'm fascinated by their modern take on Arylide yellow. Currently, the only QOR i own are the colors in the High Chroma starter set. First "grown up" starter set I bought, a couple years ago. Been wanting to add some balance to this group, for more options in loose or abstract work, so these videos are super helpful! Thank you Dr. Kano!
Hello Oto, thank you so very much for swatching the Qor colors! I love them, but obviously don’t have them all. So I’m looking forward the whole week for your video. Diarylide Y. is definitely one of my all time favorites. But Benzmide….. is my warm (basic) yellow. My cool yellow is Bismuth.. I don’t care so much for the Cadmiums in watercolor, while I love them in Gouache and Acryl. Love Qor and their quality of colors. But I have a question. I don’t know, if you have ever explained that already: How come that the same pigment codes/numbers, like here Py34, become so many different colors?
great question! What color a pigment has (within the same pigment code) depends on how it is process/treated. Different levels of reactions, heat treatment, pigment size, source, affects the hue of the pigment and that's why we get such a wide range of hues on pigments such as PV19!
Sooo it's getting hotter and hotter! I'm enjoying so much these QoR series!! You are our Dr. of Colours!
Thank you so much for watching the series!

Thank you so much, your words made my day!!

The diarulide yellow is gorgeus 🧡
It's such a good color to paint with!
I would love a video on how you picked the tests you do, card layout and sizes, and how you run the tests.

QoR has a really impressive and pretty range of yellows. Pretty colors! 💛💛💛 I love warm yellows, so I kinda want to play with all of them XD
I know what you mean, these are such lovely warm yellows!
Thank you! The Aureolin Modern mixes - who knew!

That is such a nice set, it's definitely one of my favourite sets out there. The color selection is so lovely.
Perfect series for me I am looking to buy the 24 tube set by qor for my birthday present to myself next month

Thank you for the video! I love diarylide yellow - it's so unusual and pretty. I use it as my main warm yellow.
I so agree with you. I just painted with it yesterday and it's such a lovely color.
Cadmium yellow deep... Grow some gorgeous cauliflowers for me, lol!!!
Thanks Oto. I really would like to get some Darylide yellow. But I put myself on a paint moratorium. 😉🙃💜
