Hi Graham....we couldn't agree more with every word you've said lol.......thankfully we're not sponsored by anyone and won't ever be!!! We'll always be fun and honest.......speak soon Paolo and Roger 'The Camp Caravaners'
Interesting points. What a fiddle doing anything with car lights is. We always close our curtains on the caravan in storage rather than the blinds so that they maintain their spring. Fortunately we still have them in ours.
Great to see you again, Graham! I completely agree that the industry needs to gather feedback and reviews from people who actually use their caravans regularly, not just those who only focus on reviewing them. There are some caravan vloggers out there who seem to only do review after review, but never actually get out and use them or share practical advice, tips, or tricks. You know how we feel about curtains-every window needs them! There's nothing quite like pulling down the blinds and closing the curtains on a chilly night to get all cozy in the caravan. And when you're in France, those early mornings can be a pain with light streaming through the little holes for the blind strings! That was quite the job changing the rear light-fingers crossed I don't have to deal with that on my GLS. On my Discovery, it was thankfully just a couple of easily accessible screws and the job was done! Anyway, enough from me. Catch you soon!
Just saw another YT star (Mr T) do a review on a new van at this years NEC show, and they had put the toilet cassette access on the caravan door side - clearly who ever “designed” this had never heard of an awning! As a fellow Challenger 650 owner, how annoyed are you with the 390 width awning falling directly across the edge of the rear window - drives my Mrs 🤯🤯🤯 Thanks for the honesty!
390, yes VERY frustrating 🥴Do caravan designers use caravans? At least Bailey seem to have the electric cable the correct side now. BTW I don’t hate Bailey, well no more than I dislike any other manufacturer ( but I do love caravanning)🥴😆
Glad I’m not the only one who can spot undisclosed sponsorship a mile off! And - er - it’s a no to curtains from me! 😂 You are correct in thinking that the manufacturers would appreciate feedback. But no. I once reviewed a certain U.K. brand and it was a total case of Emporer’s New Clothes, and I said as much. At the NEC the MD of said company just looked at me and sneered as if I were a piece of dog poo he’d just scraped off his shoe. I’ve never touched one since and I want as little content about this brand out there as possible. When you think of which brand supports nobody in video and social media it’s not difficult to pinpoint who that is (ie not Bailey, Swift, Adria, or EHG U.K…) 😜 Glad you had a good time and sorry I missed you 👍
At least you kept your dignity, which is more than can be said for some. Honesty is the key. If they make something that’s worthy of praise, everyone would praise it. We are all adults and nothing is perfect. Hopefully see you at the next one 👍🏻Thanks for watching
Hi Graham, I agree with your premise about honest feedback which is one of the reasons I view your vlogs. However I don't miss curtains at all. Why not make them optional? Cheers Colin
Hi Colin, thanks for watching. We're all different aren't we and all like different things, so a level of customisation makes perfect sense doesn't it? I realise it might mean a bit more work on behalf of the manufacturer, but things like curtains could be a value add for the dealer. They should listen o us more, by that I mean caravanners, not vloggers....
Just drilled a hole in my rear light today as it got cracked months ago and noticed its now 3/4 full of water! Lights are all working(not sure how!) Agree with reviewers, not just caravanners Insta, Tik Tok etc is full of them. If everything is perfect I'm sceptical. Problem is majority fall for it and manufacturers/suppliers know it. 😢
Thanks for watching. I said in an earlier vlog, but at the very least reposting posts, engaging on social media; commenting on posts, engaging on Facebook. Really just being part of the online caravan community. Sharing product roadmaps, they can help keep the community informed, vlogger’s have built up trust with their audiences so they could give great feed back on any future plans. They have in the past invited some to product launches, albeit a selected few.. Other industries do it effectively.
Deffo disagree on the curtains, we don't have them at home & don't want them in the caravan. Other than that, great vlog! Meeting up with you & the others a couple of years back was the best bit of the show at far as we're concerned. Might go again sometime just to meet everyone, especially as we live just 45 mins away. 👍

My favourite vlog of yours in a while. Blowing smoke 😂😂😂

Love your honesty Graham and would really appreciate one or two of the leading manufacturers giving you a chance at a review
Haha, I watch Carwow too Graham 😁. You saved quite a lot in parts and labour on your rear lamp, a job well done 👍. Cheers Rob
Thanks for watching Rob. Yes, light was £190. I think Mercedes would have been nearer £500. Worth doing it yourself 👍🏻
I can't believe Tony didn't have a clue what you were talking about. It was great seeing you again. 👍

Glad curtains have gone in our new van lounge. Much cleaner look.

Thanks for watching. Well, you won’t find me disagreeing 🥳😆👍🏻
Good quality curtains are the best there not old fashioned just do the job love them simple 😊
So lovely to meet you, where do people put the stickers car or caravan?
I think caravan mostly 🤷🏼♂️
👍
I have stickers on my Bulkhead Hall of Fame, ie in the front locker 😁👍

Noticed the curtain thing this year yet they all seem to have gone back to underslung spare wheel carriers. Wonder why?
4:54 ~ what would the definition of "supporting bloggers" be? 😉
I guess people have to square that away in their own mind.

My pet hate is ..clear windows in that bathroom . That alone would stop me from buying it
Yes, whoever thought that was a good idea?
Thanks for watching 👀
