For update sake I can say it’s really a great purchase. I can take off for the day without having to stuff my pockets or carry a bag pack. I’m a huge fan. It also looks good on the bike.

What's the latest with the 701. Could you do a review of overall impressions with the BW Performance Kit and your other mods. Could we get recent ride footage? Weather must be great in Chicago right now. Please and thank you!

I‘d look out for the space between the magnetic plate and the edges of the tank.
After a while i hade some scratches on my tank, left and right.
I put some cloth between and check from time to time.

The plate is not very close to the tank. I do my best to center it when I attach it. I’ve been very happy with it so far. Holds everything essential for a day ride.

have you figured with clamp? I have the same issue with Badwinners exhaust

    • @BigSexysHouse

The cost to have the fabrication shop replace the clamp on the mid pipe and decat to a V-Band clamp is around $500. So I have decided not to go that route. I will probably wait until someone comes out with an exhaust I like or just deal with the less than ideal fitment. I'm just shocked a company like SC Project continues to put out a product that isn't made properly and passes it off as being fine. Additionally Badwinners has been really sketchy lately with customers service and product fulfillment. I ordered some stuff from them and no reply to emails and nothing arriving in the mail. About to call the card company to file to get my money refunded.

I put that same bag on my 2020 Svart 701. It's well-made and comes in handy. It's made by the Italian company, Givi, which makes a nice range of high-end hard and soft bags for all kinds of bikes. That little tank bag was not cheap but, hey, quality costs, right?

It seems well made, and I've heard about it being made by Givi. However the tag inside my bag says made in China so that has me wondering if Givi actually made the bag, or if they are just an Italian company that outsources their production to China. The Husky dealer I've been using gave me a great deal on the bag. I think I paid around $190 including tax and shipping to my house. All that aside I'm really liking the bag and how it looks on the bike. Gonna make it a much more appealing bike to ride this summer when my friends want to go out for the day.

Excellent video. I ordered the bag and expect it to arrive any day now. I was in a dilemma about whether or not I want to spend the money on the bag. I heard some say they felt the bag took away from the appearance of the bike. And got in the way. I think they might be ones with the Vitpilen bike which has a different vibe to it. So does everyone think the quality is good and worth it? What convince me was when I arrive at my destination I do not have a place that can hold my items e.g. gloves etc. Another question, what are you doing with your helmet. This bike does not have helmet hooks? Thanks

I think the bag looks fine on the bike. It doesn't take away from the unique lines of the tank, and because the bars are higher than the Vitpilen it doesn't stick up too high either. I usually take my helmet inside when I stop somewhere. If I don't take it in I just sit it on my seat, or hang it off my handlebar. Sometimes you can also hang it off the foot peg that is opposite of the kickstand, however I have not tried that on this bike yet. However I think it has plenty of clearance to do that.
