The Epsilon HQ is basically the heart and main faction of the Epsilon Army. If I recall, they are known with the usage of genetic arsenals since they can train and turn their victims into loyal Brutes creating super soldiers in their ranks to join them and of course stealth technology cause of the mobile chimera core known as the Hazequad and the Shadow Tank in combat. As for Rahn being the commando of the HQ, well very powerful on turning his enemies into loyal Brutes which in return they will fight alongside him and the player and yeah capable on destroying vehicles and buildings too making him like the Epsilon's Volkov. Now when playing as the Epsilon HQ, I think Stalkers and Brutes are your best friend here on raiding enemy bases since they can easily destroy enemy infantries, tanks and buildings at ease sacking down their base quicker unless the brutes prove to be just the distraction while the Stalkers are the ones who's doing the destruction of the base. The Stalkers also proves useful to the Soviets as well once they abduct them via Drakuv and sends them to the Field Bureau which they'll combine their forces with them in their raid. Oh yeah I forgot to mention about the Irkalla, since that's the Epsilon's own epic unit in their arsenal, the unit itself may look powerful, but it needs to be protected from anti aircraft fire so the unit needs to have some escorts with it to protect the Irkalla, Basilisks and Salamanders should protect the Aerial Fortress. If you have access to Salamanders that is. For me the Irkalla is useful for defending your base if want your base to be protected from enemy attacks, but for raiding enemy bases have it escorted with aerial units with it to protect it. Too bad we're only allowed to build 1 Irkalla and can't build anymore once one it's deployed.
Like when I play it for the first time I chose psycorps and they can no longer gain a lot of money but when epsilon HQ it's better alternative way to play.
Epsilon is hard for me to play as, but they're more easier if they have mind controlled forces with them such as either Allied or Soviets. Or if they have Salamanders with them in their arsenal making it more easier for Epsilon Proselytes, but you need first to get it from the Foehn Revolt first to gain access to Salamanders. But when it comes on gaining money, just simply have them infiltrate Ore Refineries in a large number of Infiltrators.

HQ is somewhat has a arsenal to tow to tow most of some certain factions and the only weakests of HQ is early gameplay or sometimes Hailhead.
