Nice!! They only roll when they are very close to shore and have to make a turn to make it into the harbor. Happened to be on board one time within a storm at night, it was great.
Regardless of age, the Gozo channel ferries have some of the most unstable hulls ever designed. The sea state is actually not that rough but for the almost flat bottoms of these boats.
This ship looks very unstable, but it may just be the sea state. She rolls around a lot. This would be giddyfying for most people, and even regular seafarers I know can get seasick if the conditions are right. there is an area near Lundy, south west England, that is famous for making people feel ill. Transatlantic crossings are ok, they said, but coastal waters can be very nauseating.
it is not as bad as we can see the other sea tragedies that was happened. i experienced like this last 2009 when there is a typhoon that hit in our country. this one is normal
Dear Cem Miralay, these ferries are not designed as flat bottomed! How do you know about their designs? If you take a closer look, you find that it's not flat bottom at all as you're stating. By the way, do you think that modern ships are being designed as having their lines plans as those of a galleon? Another point is that when these ships were ordered, the authorities knew that the ferries had to sail in open seas not rivers or lakes!

It is very unstable, we nearly saw it flip when we were in Malta!
That looks more like a river going boat than ocean.....bugger that!
