  • Hadith relating to the night prayer (Tahajjud):
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to stand (in the prayer) or pray till both his feet or legs swelled. He was asked why (he offered such an unbearable prayer) and he said, "should I not be a thankful slave."

    RAMADAN KAREEM
I embraced Islam, learnt so much and even learnt how to pray through your videos.
    JAZAKALLAHU KHAIR
I am the only Muslim in my family & I live alone..
    I perform salah very slow.
I do try to be wake up for TAHAJJUD .
Especially Ramadan, I wake up an hour earlier before preparing my Suhoor.
To feel fresh & smelling nice, I will brush my teeth & shower for Tahajjud.
I feel I am given the special priviledge by Allah SWT to "talk" to Him.
🤭I'm still learning to recite long Qur'an

Walking to the Masjid on Fridays for Jumu'ah earns one the reward of a year's worth of accepted night time salat and a year's worth of accepted fasting for every single step. It is the greatest reward mentioned in hadith. However, there are conditions to be met which include, of course, starting with a sound niyyah, making the ghusl shortly before leaving home, arriving early at the masjid (before the imam approaches the mimbar), sitting close to the imam and listening attentively to the khutbah.

Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakathuh Sheik. Very motivational talk. Alhamdulillah. I have a concern with many islamic talks about the matter of marriage intimacy . Why it should be told as some vulgar manner, "sexual intercourse" . If It would be as marriage intimacy, then the message is delivered in a decent manner. Because we have wide range o audience from young kids to teens. Even parents too feel embarassing to hearing such islmic talks along with our kids. I am not saying here that kids are unaware of such things, the idea here is everyone should feel good and understand the message in a comfortable manner. Hope every speaker would convey the message of Quran and Hadith to the listeners ina very comfortable manner. Jazakallah khair

    • @samia6888

How is the term sexual intercourse considered vulgar? It is the official term for the act itself, not slang. Marital intimacy can be beyond sexual intercourse so sometimes it needs to be clarified.

Yes, as many times as you want. Daleel: At-Tirmidhi hadith, stating Nabi SAW spent one entire night reciting only one verse(Surah Al-Maidah Verse 118) in qiyam al layl. But if you know other surahs, it is recommended to not neglect including them in your prayer. Meaning don't make it a habbit of reciting only one surah(or verse) the entire Ramadan. You can ask an alim for a more expert and precise answer. JZK.

“Pray as you have seen me praying." Sahih Al Bukhari 5662 Sahih Muslim 674. 10 minute Durood after dua(Rabbana atina fid duniya) in tashahudd doesn't make sense. Read durood once before dua(Rabbana atina) and as many times as you like after taslim/ending prayer. My opinion. Ask an alim for a more precise answer.

‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said: “Du’aa’ is suspended between heaven and earth and none of it is taken up until you send blessings upon your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).” (Tirmidhi, Ibn Katheer said: Its isnaad is jayyid. Classed as hasan by al-Albaani).
This hadeeth indicates that it is mustahabb to send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ when making du’aa’.
Ubayy ibn Ka‘b (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, I want to send more blessings upon you (before offering supplication); how much of my supplication should I allocate to that? He ﷺ said: “Whatever you wish.” I said: One quarter? He ﷺ said “Whatever you wish, but if you do more, it will be better for you.” I said: Half? He ﷺ said: “Whatever you wish but if you do more, it will be better for you.” I said: Two thirds? He ﷺ said: “Whatever you wish, but if you do more, it will be better for you.” I said: Shall I make all of my supplication for that? He ﷺ said: “Then your worries will be taken care of and your sin will be forgiven.” (Tirmidhi, classed as hasan by al-Albaani).
What this hadith means is to encourage people to send a great deal of blessings and peace upon the Prophet ﷺ because of what there is in that of great reward.
You should understand that the hadith does not mean that a person should not offer du‘aa’ for himself at all, and only send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ.
