    My late hubby did all these things, but thanks to your video I managed to do it myself. Boilers due a service next week. You saved me a wad of cash, not having to call anyone out. Thanks so much.

      Absolutely delighted 😊. That’s the very reason we do these videos!
      Sorry to hear about your loss 😞
      If you let us know the make and model of your boiler and controller/room thermostat we can do videos on those for you also.

    Does the boiler randomly shut down when the pressure is above 2? Just having constant issues on this

    Can someone answer a question I can't find anywhere- you do this with heating on or off????

    • @citywarmth
      @citywarmth  7 месяцев назад

      Theoretically this could be done with heating or on off!
      But, we always advise with heating OFF so there is no chance of people getting burnt/scolded.
      Hope this helps.

    Yes but don’t you have to turn off the boiler first ?

    • @janettinkler2204
      @janettinkler2204 5 месяцев назад

      No just make sure the heating is off & the radiators are cool enough or Luke warm so you don’t scald yourself with the water that comes out.

    • @kb8729
      @kb8729 5 месяцев назад

      Yes. Turn boiler off as you want it to cool so you can see an accurate boiler pressure

  • @iansmall366
    @iansmall366 9 месяцев назад

    I did that until the pressure was on zero and left the heating off. Looked half an hour later and pressure back up again. The inlet valve is closed??

    • @citywarmth
      @citywarmth  9 месяцев назад

      It may be that you have another inlet valve hiding somewhere else that is letting by, sending water back in.
      It may be that the inlet valve you turned off is letting by, sending water back in.
      It may be that your plate heat exchanger is passing letting water back in, assuming you have a Combi boiler.

      One radiator will be fine. Just keep going until the boiler pressure is correct.

      @@citywarmth will do. What can I do if the boiler pressure rises again the next day?

    • @citywarmth
      @citywarmth  7 месяцев назад

      @@Restricted68it seems like you may have a genuine problem.
      We would recommend calling a gas safe registered engineer in to investigate further.
      We’d be looking to a passing filling loop, a passing plate heat exchanger if it’s a Combi boiler or a failed expansion vessel.
      Regards.

      My boiler keeps blowing the relief valve and yes I have replaced the expansion tank and the relief valve plus the input regulator and nothing helps??? Please someone who knows what the heck is going help me out!😢

    • @citywarmth
      @citywarmth  9 месяцев назад

      @@boomer1049 we would always advise having your boiler inspected by a gas safe registered engineer.
      It is both illegal and unsafe for someone who is not trained, qualified and registered to be working on or replacing parts on a boiler.
      If the pressure relief valve and expansion vessel HAVE been replaced, and we’re not talking about replacing the Schrader valve and recharging, we would start looking towards the filling loop letting by (there may be more than one) or possibly an issue with the plate passing.
      Not sure what you’re referring to by input regulator.
      You can find a list of your local qualified and registered gas safe engineers here
