Great interview. Never had heard Holland speak before. He struck me as a highly intelligent, cerebral musician during the Miles years. Here Holland confirms my impressions, but he proves to be a warm and considerate human being as well. Please write your memoirs, Mr. Holland. We want to know the history from one of its key participants.
+Professor Hamamoto Dave Holland is the man. Saw him play with Herbie, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Chris Potter. After the show we shot the shit about his bass for ten minutes. Great guy and a legend
+supahsekzy Does Holland have an autobiography out? If so, I want to read it: He both made music history and lived it; at a crucial turning point. I hope Holland puts it all into a book if he hasn't already. His dedication to the double-bass is admirable, but he doesn't put down the bass guitar either.
Excellent Talk .Thanks.. Great Musician, To say very least- Seen Dave w/ Hancock, Dejohnette, ,Metheny, up close .Just Phenomenol . His, Volumes of work Persist.
Good stuff. This is the first time I have ever heard Holland speak.I always assumed he was a big strapping white boy from England, because his sound is unmistakable. He is tiny. Thanks for the interview.
Dave Holland, such a gentleman.
Great interesting indeed!!! 😁
Very nice interview!
Love the outro jam music! 😁
