I played Elite on my Electron and C64 back in the day, showin my age there. For me ED is what I use to dream about as a kid. I have never spammed killed anyone, I do not bully anyone. They go pop, I give them a “o7” and let them get on about their business. I have paid out billions of credits in compensation over on Xbox but I’m not rich enough on PC to do that just yet, that said the Deavo Compensation Scheme will be coming when I do 😉

smart move frustrating the few new players the game has out of the game

Sadly I never got a chance to play the Original Elite..I was in the Army at the time and didn’t even know what entertainment tech was. I’ve made up for its since..hahaha. I now play with my older brother in VR ..it’s a blast.
Over 1000 hours in solo for this reason. Its not the rebuy cost its the time wanted and effort down the drain.

I'm shocked there were no turrets fired upon you from the settlement station, bases are so defenceless. Authority ships should issue cutters to protect the base more often 😂 man you are a menace but i really enjoyed watching this, you are also demonstrate some cool piloting skills too.

Solo is there for a reason. As is Private. I have never wondered why, it’s to avoid other players that may RP a murder-hobo. o7
Me im against it, especially new cmdrs in Winders or cargo/miners, those sometimes ppl get bored, dang griefers ! ;D

The great thing about ED is that it can be whatever you want it to be. FPS is just one of the things you can do. o7
@@deavo74 It should never have happened. Elite has been about you and your ship since it first released in 1984 but Frontier are happy to crap on the traditional gameplay and go for the masses and fps kiddies.
@@SteveT-0 In your opinion. Things evolve. Do you really think that if multiplayer was a thing in the early 80’s there wouldn’t have been PvP? This game has 3 main modes, Open, Solo and the later added Private. You don’t need to interact with other players if you don’t want to. Also a thing to note is that in the original game there was only one rank system, combat.

I died many many many times in my Sidewinder. Stuff happens. If that gives them “PTSD” then that is a them problem.
PTSD from space pixels, poor sheltered workshop carebares better never play EvE, DayZ etc...

@@deavo74 its like getting something stolen, so you feel the right to stole something too. Just think about this, how you can create someone like you just by killing them on their first playtrough. I know its sometimes hard to get PVP , but this will not bring many new players to the game, or open mode.

Big assumption there. In the early days of this game NPC Anacondas left traps for unwitting new CMDRs. They showed no mercy for me. If someone can’t take losing their FREE Sidewinder with zero rebuy just once then I’d argue this isn’t the game for them.
@@deavo74I was more questioning your motivation. NPCs do whatever they do. Humans have brains and can decide by their own. Beating up 3 years old kids wouldn't satisfy myself as an example ;-)
@@deavo74 yes, it is real fun to get destroyed "once" again and again without a chance to resist while trying to learn the game and get somewhere
Play in Elite safe Solo or get with people and learn how to fly in Elite Dangerous. 1000's before you have flown Open only, got killed, learnt and adapted. This is a hostile game by design, take your psychological analysis and apply self diagnosis, this is not healthy online attitude in PvP games to have 🙏
@Provost69 pvp does not mean harrasing new players. That is exactly the attitude that pushes new players away and gradually kills the game
