It's always interesting to watch these type of videos. Teachers here in Sweden never ask pupils to buy anything. Everyone gets notebooks and pencils. The rest, like scissors, coloured pencils, glue etc. are things that are just in the classroom. Lunch is free. But with our taxes, this is what you get, haha.

yeah here in Belgium to but sometimes they ask a few extra's. But most of them get stashed as extra.
We pay high taxes as well but instead of using it towards that we police the world 😡
Hi from America!! I love hearing about the different cultures and customs!! Are the taxes high to cover school supplies? We have so much to buy the children plus tuition costs! And our taxes are high.
@@byrdie89Public schools in the States are funded by a combo of Federal, city and state but the majority of the funding is from the State and City, hence why we have such disparity between the different States.
I’m a retired teacher from Los Angelas Unified Schools. I never asked parents to buy supplies. Most of our students had low economic status and I didn’t want to burden parents, Some students did have supplies, but I went and purchased school supplies for my students. Stores like Office Depot, Target, and Walmart had deals specifically for teachers.

Hi Christy, I will be sending my kid to public school this year, a little nervous about it. Homeschooled her last year. Any other mamas get all emotionally stirred up about sending their kiddos to school? I know she’ll love it, I just worry about her safety and not being there to protect her😓

Its cute but i had white and light colored backpacks in middle school and it was a disaster...got so dirty before Christmas
Here in the UK parents are not asked to buy supplies. The biggest costs for parents are uniforms. Most schools call for their branded items which cost alot more than standard uniform items.
Parents are asked to pay for lunches once the child turns 7 I believe. They also are asked to pay towards outings and school trips. Good luck for your new school year girls. ❤
I'm super interested in the closet organization. I simply can't imagine sharing my closet with anyone so I'm curious how the girls make it work!
