  • In this landscape photography vlog I capture the pre dawn colour of a stunning sunrise at The Entrance channel. After photographing some flood debris as my foreground interest in the pre dawn I change compositions and discover some green moss covered rocks.
Even as the sunrise appeared the cool morning glow continued. A stunning morning and one to remember .

Love how you work your local spots. The pre dawn shots are special but really like the angles in your mossy comps 🤩👍

Sensational shots there Colin - great video once again my friend 👍 The shots at 9:00 and 9:15 were just sublime and your "Pelican eye-auto-focus" nailed the shot of the local 😉 I could hear the excitement in your voice early on in the video as you knew what was about to happen in the sky. Well done mate 👍

      Brian thank you mate.
Funny story. I actually thought I had slept in and rushed to the location only to find I was 1.5 hours early.😂😂 Long enough to watch the sky changing 😂😂

Did you use a few flash guns on that last photo of the log on the beach? I'm trying to work out the shadows. Thanks.

      Hi Trevor,
Firstly thank you for subscribing. I am lucky the Sony allows me to raise the shadows in post as it handles it well with little noise (grainy)
Although the image looks like I used a flash there was a street light 100mtrs behind me that gave some light.
One option for you may be take one correct exposure for the sky and take another without moving the camera with a longer shutter speed for the shadows and combine the two exposures in Photoshop ( RUclips has some great exposure blending tutorials)
      Hope this helps
      Colin
