I only told Vinny to go back for bab loot. The other requirements (bringing the body to Sotiris and sacrificing the skull) Vinny did entirely on his own. If anything, chat was trying to make him NOT sacrifice the skull. I still love how 5 well timed words changed the ending from best to worst though.

Just wanna clarify my comment was in relation to me finding it funny the "go back for bab loot" comment at 1:41:00 was a one-off message that Vinny happened to catch - with that being the only remaining difficult-to-find step for the nightmare ending (subjective). I wasn't trying to throw shade at anyone or spur an argument. Sorry for wording it like a dummy!
Out of all the disturbing monsters and visuals I've seen in this game, the inventory glitch fakeout gets me the most due to how plausible a glitch like that can be, unlike everything else where you can just excuse it like, "Nah, that shit can't actually happen."
@Josh JeanJacket Jaeger Nah, nothing like that. Killing the baby near the beginning doesn't affect anything. This ending requires some very specific tasks to complete: collecting Dr. Piccinini's corpse from Nezumi Lab and dropping it in the area right before Sotiris. Also, after defeating the Siren, you need to return to his final area to collect the Child's Skull from his corpse. Then you give the Child's Skull to the tree of Bayagototh in the game's final area. It's deliberately meant to be a secret ending, and the chat decided to get Vinny to do all those things to unleash a cosmic horror upon the world, lol.

Vinny's resistance to these kind of games amaze me, when i was younger i refused to even touch the controller when these games where being played, even nowadays i get moderately spooked.
Back in the day the Silent Hill 1 demo scared the fuck out of me. Nowadays I'm more just like "wow this sure is gross and spooky." Not sure when I "toughened" up. Its the depressing bits that seem to get to me more. The true horror is real life.
Really enjoyed the high gamma mode that let you see a gallery of the characters at the end, really wish more games had that. Especially horror games, you miss out on seeing so many cool creatures when youre running away.
this game has an atmosphere that no horror games i know have. it was truly an experience, the in-game "gliches" with a body, fucked up enemies like trains and huge babies, cool usable weapons too... the story is complicated, but what i got from it seems cool and depressing. the elevator part will always be my favorite tho. i watched it with my eyes wide open and i just couldn't shut my mouth in amazement how good and creepy this all thing actually is. firstly i expected jump scares everywhere, but this game... man, i love it

9:30 it's amazing what an effective scare this is, at least in my opinion. That little bastard is hauling ass after you, no ladder can help you now
The sound the game makes when Binyot picks things up reminds me of the beginning of a song or theme from somewhere but I can't quite put my finger on it.

There's something a little off about this game to me, it's probably the fact that it resembles Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion so much. I keep expecting a cardboard cutout of a ghost to pop out of the wall, like I'm waiting for a punchline instead of seeing this as a serious silent hills-esque horror game.
Maybe it’s because of how silly the intro level is? Like, with all the brightly colored graffiti (I think with usernames of people who supported the dev?) and the parody posters on the subway walls? I watched someone play this and they cut out that part or something and I didn’t get a silly vibe at all back then, but watching it WITH that really made me confused.
