Roy Roger's and the Sons of the Pioneers, what a soul stirring rendition of this song.
Many Church Alters, have been swarmed by sinners, seeking peace from their burdens after hearing it. They are all seeking the peace and strength, one can only find in the precious blood of the Lamb.
My real grand father is in that picture.. Some of these guys use to come over to my house when i was a kid and play and sing.. Amazing to see this picture.. Brought back lots of memories.

Great hymn--one of the best. I also loved when Joe Hill, the great troubadour of the Industrial Workers of the Union (IWW)) changed the lyrics and wrote "There is power in a Union" one of the the greatest of all union songs second only to "Solidarity Forever." Love both for you can't have one without the other. Thanks Lewis E. Jones, Sons of the Pioneers and Joe Hill, a martyr for American Labor movement who has been proven innocent and was a victim of a frame up. Know your history, folks.
